12 Learn on my own? Aegiri's story

When Rodse arrived to his residence, he entered and left Aegiri in his room.

Rodse left his home and went out the academy. No one knew where he was going during school's time, it was already 11:00 am and classes already started. Of course, this gave him the opportunity to snatch without anyone notice. He was confident but he didn't notice that someone was following him.

'He told that he would contact me at this time, but he is being late' Rodse was worried, after the questioning of the soldiers he sent a [Dash Lightning Bird] with a message that said the time to meet. One hour passed and there was no respond. Rodse sighed and left the place he was. After walking for a time he noticed that something was amiss but it was already late: he was trap in an illusion "This..." someone jumped and landed in front of him "Look what we have here, is anyone but Principal Rodse, Salgot's direct disciple" the man smiled coldly and arrogantly "Who are you? What matters do you have with me? I assumed that is something important for you, but instead, dangerous for me" Rodse looked at the man with his cold black eyes. A black ice peak emerged from the ground and was directed towards the man dressed in black. The man avoided it while launching a blue flame fireball towards Rodse, 'This is bad' he thought while he was protecting himself with a black ice shield. The shield began to melt, "Haha, this is the first time that I confront a fire capable to melt my ice. Well, I can assume that your job is to kill me, but your superiors forgot something about me" Rodse showed a cold and evil smile. The man in black froze with that sight, and before he could react, black ice was growing all around his body and a shout of agony was listened.

Salgot looked how the man was becoming an ice block when a blue flame fire was throw to him.

Aegiri woke up and everything that surrounded her was unfamiliar. She remembered everything that happened before she faint "So this is teacher Rodse's home" she felt alone, everyone in the academy was in class and her teacher basically forbidden her to met her friends. The only thing she can do at the moment was to explore. Suddenly something in her clothes was moving and two heads pop out looking at her with bright eyes: They were her two pets that were the two flowers Ethon gifted her. Lux and Schwarz were rubbing their heads in her chest trying to confort her. Aegiri smiled and hugged the little foxes in her arms, their fur was soft, every time she touch it, she felt a warm equivalent to her grandmother's and felt nostalgic. She remained in that position for one hour.

By the time, Aegiri heard that someone was coming, Lux jumped from her arms and went to where the entrance was.

Aegiri followed him and in front the door she saw a man full of injuries. The man wasn't seriously harm, but everyone who see him with that appearance can assume that he found something or someone that wanted to see him dead but those who wanted to kill him it was more than obvious that they failed, and that they would try again to accomplish their intentions. Aegiri looked at the man in front of her and noticed a warm smile directed to her "I'm home Aegiri, I need to rest a bit before I help you learn to read" after those words were said Aegiri recognized the man before her: he was her teacher Rodse!

"Teacher! What happened to you, are you ok?" Aegiri got worry and asked him some questions while helping him to get to his room and bed "Nothing happened, your teacher is strong" Rodse smiled at her and laid in his bed, in that moment a little white spirit fox jumped into his body "Lux! Get dow..." her words stopped at the middle of the sentence when Lux started to shine and Rodse's injuries started to heal with a sight perceptive to a normal human eye. Even teacher Rodse got surprised: it was the first time he saw that kind of heal ability in a spirit beast.

Rodse did not know very well how to express his astonishment at seeing his wounds healed quickly. However, after staring at the little creature he could identify it "Aegiri, your little pet has a black companion right?" At that moment, a small black head appeared poking out between Aegiri's small white hands. Rodse was not surprised to see her, but still asked with a blank expression, "Can I know where you got them?" Aegiri after thinking about it a bit knew that she could trust her teacher and told her the whole story since she got lost in the forest, met Salgot and Ethon, and the transformation of the flowers into those two cute beast-spirit foxes. Rodse listened closely to Aegiri's story without showing emotion on his face.

At the end of the story, Rodse got up and looked at Aegiri's beautiful, ultramarine eyes, with a look full of appreciation and brotherly love. "Aegiri, you must be careful that someone sees these two foxes, their magic is one of the most powerful That you can exist in this world It is good that you trust people as you trust Diara, but you must be very careful and learn the kind of person that is around you". Aegiri, being still very young, did not understand his teacher very well; one could say that she was just as confused as when she forbade her contact with her friends until she was twelve years old.

"Well, taking all this into account, I will teach you to read, but only today I will be able to do it, after today you will learn everything by yourself. This will help you grow in maturity and determination, or at least I hope so. The only person that you might have contact during this period of time it will be with me, and, as for your friends, I will allow it once a month" Rodse said after regaining his usual calm and warm expression when he addressed her. As for Aegiri, she was so happy to hear that she could have contact with her friends, but in that moment she realized something that completely changed her expression of joy to one of bewilderment and depression "Learn on my own?" Rodse looked at her "That's right!" Rodse got up and was going to the room next to his bedroom and Aegiri followed him with a puzzled expression in her face. When Rodse looked at that expression he smiled and indicated where Aegiri could have a seat while he was checking some books in his bookshelf and brought around five different books. Aegiri was stunned. "This books are of three different languages, the first two are of our mother tongue, these two are about Dragon language and the last one is about Elf language. However, for your age, it is good to learn our alphabet first" After saying those words he opened the first book and the lesson began.

The next nine hours, both of them were studying the alphabet and words. The first book was about grammar and reading comprehension while the other one was about vocabulary and spelling. Aegiri was a genius girl and learning the alphabet wasn´t a challenge for her. At the end of the nine hours of study, she already learnt how to read and write with small spelling errors. Rodse was amazed with her learning capacity and thought that he made the right decision to let her learn everything by herself. Another hour passed and the two books were finished "Aegiri, you can learn now by yourself the Dragon language, it will be difficult but you will be also benefited with it. Well, with this we end the lesson, you must sleep well to have healthy life. Your room is the one upstairs at left next the bathroom. Good night!" And with that, teacher Rodse left her and went to his room.

Aegiri looked at the books and smiled bitterly "I think it is good for me to love to read books, but why my teacher decided that?" she asked herself while she was going to her room. Before she fall asleep she have a one lonely thought 'Learn on my own? That will be a difficult task' she closed her eyes letting the dark night guided her to the dreaming world.
