1 Little Aegiri wants to hear a story

Parvend is a world of magic and fantasy. There are a lot of different species, like elves and dragons, even fairies exist in calm and silent forests.

Near of one of this forests was a village named Dendelion, and in this village live a little girl named Aegiri. Aegiri was 4 years old, she was a prodigy in all the elemental magic. Everyone at the village know about her and her abilities, so they were very proud about her.

Aegiri was a story lover. She always want to hear her grandmother telling a different story. Aegiri was an orphan. Her parents died in a misterious accident which no one know what happen reallly. Her grandmother took care of her when Aegiri was just 7 months old.

Aigiri had a favorite story. She asked her grandmother to tell her that story again. The story was about a man capable to control darkness and light, "Please grandmother, tell that story, the one about that man" her grandmother looked at her, "Ok my little girl, listen carefully: A long time ago there was man with the power of two diferrent elements, one was darkness and the other one was light. He was a powerful person that made many countries fear him, but even with that power he always sought freedom. The reason was that even if the countries fear him, they usually ask for his help with wars. He finally got tired of the same, so he started to attack all the countries just to have peace at the end.Eventually, all the kingdoms created an alliance tofinish him, but it was in vain, the war ended and that man won. People started to call him Lord of darkness and light. Time pass, and the peace was reigning in Parvend. By the time, a kid born with another rare abilitie, he was capable to use all the elements: fire, wind, water, earth and lightning. This news arrive to the lord's ears and he started a search on that baby. The baby's parents hid him because they didn't know what were the lord's plans. They baby grew and became a powerful witth the teachings of all the masters in each element. They also taught him that the lord was an enemy that needed to be erradicated, so the man challenged the lord in fight where the destiny of the world would be decided. Their fight was long, but the lord was already an old-man, that means, he was exhausted with the fight. Nevertheless, for the man was difficult to fight with the lord. At the end of the fight, the lord lost and was sentenced to die. His crimes were a lot because during his reigning all people have fear to be kill by him. People only wanted to eradicate him from Parvend. The lord die because of his injuries, and

the man was crowned king of a new kingdom that emerged after the battle, which is the current one in which our village is located. The other countries began to rebuild themselves little by little. Between the countries a treaty was signed where they declared peace, since they feared that if they initiated a war, the lord would return along with his reign of terror. Time passed and peace remained in Parvend. People still fear the lord, but with the time, he is being eventually forgotten by the countries. The end" Aegiri looked at her grandmother, she was hearing with fascination every word that her grandmother's mouth let go with a strange nostalgic "Grandmother, I don't like this ending, well I like that know we have peace, but I think that the lord also deserves a happy ending like us. Maybe something like he found a woman to love and live with her the rest of their lives" her grandmother looked at her and sighed "My little Aegiri, you need to know that there is no always a happy ending, some times bad people ends like the lord" Aegiri got mad"But it wasn't lord's fault, everything that happen in the story was people's fault" Her grandmother laughed "Haha, you are right, but it was his fault to choose that path" Aegiri knew she would never beat her grandmother.

Aegiri was not convince with those words, but she would remember all what her grandmother tell her.

It was afternoon when Aegiri decided to go outside and play with the village's children. While she was out, her grandmother invited the village's chief to decide about Aegiri's future. Both knew that royalty was always looking for children with the ability and power to become elementary teachers who would protect the kingdom in the future. Also, the royal family and the elders where in the search of a kid that had the same powers as the first king, because they knew that when this child appear, the lord will return. Aegiri's grandmother and the chief also knew about that prophecy, but they didn't want that royalty wash Aegiri's brain with hate "Chief Hank, I want Aegiri to learn how to control her powers but I don't know what to do" the chief was strangely happy "There is no more problem elder Esti, I have contacted one of my trustful old friends that is a mayor elder in the elemental school. I told him the situation and he understand the importance to keep the secret, so he convince the other elders to leave him this village" Grandmother Esti got excited and cried with happiness "Aegiri will go to the school, I'm so happy. I need to tell her these great news" The chief Hank wanted to celebrate these news with all the village.

Both went out the house. All the village hear the amazing news, even the children got excited.

It was a big celebration, but in all the commotion, the villagers noted that elder Esti was anxious. Everyone started to try to find the reason when finally the chief Hank shouted "Aegiri is missing! Someone have seen where did Aegiri go?" The children were asked and just one child answer that Aegiri went to the forest while she was following a strange white and luminous look-like butterfly. When the adults heard that answer, thy wanted to go look for her, but grandmother Esti and chief Hank stopped them "It's too night and I think that the spirits will look for her safety" the villagers knew that that was actually possible, because once Aegiri fell in the river that is near the village, but she didn't drown herself because two water spirits took her out. Finally Aegiri's grandmother and the village's chief convinced everyone to return to their houses, and wait until tomorrow "I'm very worry, I don't think I will sleep this night" the grandmother said with a sadly voice "I know she will be okay, just wait elder Esti, tomorrow we will go to the forest and look for her" the chief smiled and he accompanied her to her house. Grandmother Esti entered to her house in silence and thinking why her granddaughter have such abilities when their family wasn't related with the first king of Gorfal. She just knew that her family arrived to this village when she was 6 years old, and then she went to the elemental school. She finished and return to her home with the title of elder at the age of 45 years, and with her husband and daughter. The villagers were amazed with her arrive, but they accept them all. Grandmother Esti sighed and went to sleep.
