16 Meeting the Martial Spiri
He suddenly stopped as soon as he was finally an arm distance away from that light, it was in the shape of a door and gave off a mysterious vibe to it.
'What is this light door? Will it be safe to cross it?' Were the first thoughts that entered his mind, he was cautious of this door as he didn't know anything about this place.
Was this his consciousness? Was it some other place? Just what was it? But he knew one thing, that he definitely wasn't blind and it brought him tremendous relief as he didn't know what he would do if he was blind.
He took a deep breath as a thought suddenly entered his mind 'Why am I being cautious like a Light Novel Protagonist? Fuck it, I should just step in. What's the worst that can happen anyways?'
With that thought, he stepped into the light door, he covered his eyes as his eyes weren't ready for the sudden brightness as he entered the room. "Too bright! Turn it off!" He spoke those words in the empty air as nothing happened other than his eyes getting used to the brightness.
After staying in that bright place for some time, he slowly opened up his eyes and took a look at his surrounding. His eyes adjusted to the light as he could finally see his surrounding, he could faintly see a dark thing in front of him.
Curious to know what it was, he opened his eyes even more and peeked at the thing, his blurry vision started to clear while he tried to focus on that thing in front of him.
As his vision completely cleared up, he slowly backed away and was careful to not make any noise, his expression was incredibly anxious as he didn't know what to do right now.
Why was he scared as he opened his eyes you might ask? Well, it honestly wasn't his fault, because his eyes were roaming around the figure of a 100 metres long Three-Headed Western Dragon.
It was honestly terrifying seeing it up so close, it was chained with a thick black chain but he doubted that the chain could hold on if the Dragon tried hard enough. His body was unable to move from being frozen in fear, and was sweating cold, he wanted to scream but his voice was stuck in his throat.
'So, this was what Mc's felt when they saw the beast within themselves huh. This is beyond scary. And who the heck put a Dragon in the body of this trashy prince...' He thought as he examined the beast in front of his eyes.
His vision had long since become clear and he could clearly observe as the tail of the dark blue Dragon seemed to be moving back and forth.
The Three-Headed Dragon, like the name suggested, had three heads, however only the middle one was a Dragon head, the one at the Dragon's left was a Lion's head and the last one was a Phoenix head.
Its wing were folded, however from their size they would easily reach the span of 50 meters each, it had black claws and like mentioned before, it had dark blue scales, which slowly turned green from the neck to the heads. The end of the chain was not visible, but one was able to see that they weren't that long, and it was coiled around the beast's body.
The distance between him and the Dragon was less than 50 metres, which meant that the Dragon could easily cover this distance if it wanted and would be able to devour him without much effort.
He started to look at the chain as he knew that this chain was his last hope, if it wasn't strong enough then he was fucked up. As he glanced at the chain and saw the length, he let out a deep breath he had held in unconsciously.
The gears in his head started moving 'So, from the length of the chain, I am probably safe at this distance. But that is provided if the chain doesn't break as the Dragon uses its strength. Well, if it does break then it's not like I can do anything about it.'
He let out a depressed sigh as he cursed his weakness in front of this Dragon, he knew that he was weaker than an ant. It would be a miracle if he survives after this.
Suddenly, an eye of the Dragon opened up as it stared at Adam, it was slightly surprised to see Adam but it's face didn't show any anger or wrath. It was a calmness that greeted Adam, it slowly stood up with a prideful expression.
Adam was shocked as he saw the Dragon standing up, he hadn't realized that the Dragon had woken up. He tried to hold his fear and briefly glanced at the Dragon in front of him.
The first words that the Dragon spoke were, "You are different from the last time how we met." The first thing that surprised Adam was this Dragon's Calmness, it was speaking in such a calm voice to a human that it was surprising.
The second thing that surprised him were it's words "You are different from the last time how we met." It indicated that the prince had met up with this Dragon before and had a small interaction with it.
"Looks like I am, what? Do you dislike this change?" Adam replied as he tested the info that the Dragon knew, he wanted to know if the Dragon knew that he came from another world.
"Interesting, you actually talk back this time. And answering your previous question, No. I don't dislike it. It's certainly a pleasure to talk with my master." The Dragon replied without keeping anything from Adam.
Adam could faintly guess what was going on but he was still astonished when the Dragon called him his master, it was as if he had given up on it's pride which was surprising as the Dragons were a prideful species, they wouldn't call anyone their master, and definitely not a human.
'Were all the information about the Dragons in the novels wrong? The Dragons' aren't prideful creatures as they made them out to be? It seems as if this one has a rational mind with sound thinking...' Adam thought as he felt some eyes staring at him.
"What are you and why are you here? And what is this place" Adam demanded an answer from the Dragon as he pointed his finger at it, he was curious about it himself.
"I am what you might Human Cultivators call a Martial Spirit. But you see, I am different from the other Martial Spirits out there. I am a Martial Spirit who also has it's own intelligence and consciousness." The Three Headed dragon spoke while keeping it's eyes fixed at Adam, it noticed that Adam was getting more and more used to talking to itself, he didn't seem as uncomfortable as he was before.
It surprised him because the last time they had met, the prince had turned around and ran away without even speaking anything, it made the Dragon label the prince as a Coward.
Well, it honestly wasn't the fault of Alex as well, if he was roaming in his dreamscape and suddenly came across such a badass Dragon, it wasn't a bad idea to run for their life.
No matter how intelligent he was, Alex understood that in such a situation he couldn't do anything to the Dragon, so what's the shame in running away and saving their own life.
Being Brave and being stupid were separated by a thin line, and he understood the difference between them very well, he knew it would be stupid to stay in front of such a beast so it was better to run away before the Dragon had a chance to attack.
