4 Identity of the possessed body

Adam had some questions regarding the identity of this person, even though he had seen the memories, his mind was still jumbled and they weren't arranged in a sequence so he was confused by the knowledge.

"Liliana, what happened while I was unconscious?" Adam asked his maid with a questioning and serious expression on his face, his handsome face seemed to look into her soul as he searched for the answer to this question.

And as for Liliana, she felt as if she was on cloud nine, her Prince had never called out her name from his tongue after some years. It was as if he wanted to maintain some distance from her.

"The whole Versailles kingdom was in uproar as we couldn't find you young prince. You must not forget that the King's health is declining very quickly, he has to choose a heir quickly before he passes away." Liliana answered out in her soft voice with no hesitation.

Adam nodded at those words as he got the information from her, he could now organize those memories with this information, it wouldn't be 100% accurate for now, but it would be good enough as to give him an idea of what he should do next.

"Tell me Liliana, don't you think that your status is too low with the amount of work you do here. Don't you want to change it?" Adam didn't know why he was thinking so much about this issue but it was eating him away.

Observing that she didn't seem to have any problem with answering his questions, he asked out this question, Liliana gasped a little as she shook her head.

"It is my honour to server you Young Prince. I feel as if I have been quite lucky to be under your care, never once have I experienced myself to try and change this."

Adam was bothered by the answers he received, he didn't expect. To him, it seemed as if they had accepted their fate and were doing everything in their power to make it better but wouldn't try to make a major movement. They had already resigned their soul to it and were following the system as their ancestors did before.

Adam also wasn't accustomed to this slavery thing as he had come from a modern world, it was mostly democratic world where the lives of the people were equal. Even the servants had enough rights to live in the world but this didn't seem to be the case in this world.

He knew that if he wanted to force himself on this sheepish servant, she would obey him without a second thought. He wasn't going to entertain such a thought but this didn't bring him relief, what would happen if one of his brother ordered her. No, he wouldn't let that happen.

Adam liked girls who had a strong personality, so he decided that he would train his meek little maid to become a tigress who would have the courage and strength to go against the world with the exception of himself. Getting side-tracked by his plans, he didn't notice how the girl was surprised over not getting berated for once by the whimsical prince, who seemed to have a peculiar hatred for her in the usual case.

She was a bit surprised at how he was silently staring at her but it wasn't like she disliked it - glad even, for him to for once positively respond to her care like the old days.

She loved her young master from the time when they were kids but was self aware that her identity as a maid wouldn't allow her to become his mistress. She knew that all she had was her appearance and her body, and felt that it would be a miracle for her young master to be with her, since he had already shown a kind of dislike towards her bodily features.

Her self esteem was so low - almost to the point that she didn't even realize how superior she was in everything to that trash. The trash had nothing - no cultivation, no power, foul behaviour, and strange fetishes, certainly undeserving of a beauty of her acclaim, coupled with an innate power that would make a neutral observer doubt why the roles were reversed between the trash and the gem, implying that the trash should instead, be a filthy slave.

And yet, here she was, wallowing herself within the illusory walls created by rumors from fellow jealous girls. Her heart terribly lurched at the thought of losing the chance to gaze at his visage...forever and unknowingly, her eyes turned misty.

While trying to hold back her tears and soothe her aching heart, she heard his voice, "Lilliana, what happened when I was gone?" She was so lost in overthinking that she didn't notice how the prince was, for once treating her as a human, politely conversing with her.

Absentmindedly, she continued, "Young Master, your brothers came here to take a look at your things. They were 1st Prince and the 3rd Prince."

He nodded as he had expected something like an investigation from the memories he saw. He was aware that his brothers were terribly afraid of his superhuman intelligence and tried to bully him by abusing him physically under the guise of not being able to cultivate. Frankly speaking, they were afraid.

Afraid of him being so outstanding that they tried to create artificial flaws for him to commit mistakes, always taking advantage of the loopholes in the system. The scariest thing was, the second prince seemed to anticipate all their childish attempts to bring him down.

Through the passage of time, this increased their fear of him manifold, to the point that he had the record of facing the most assassin's ever for a prince of a Vermillion Kingdom- a staggering 34 times. Not a great record to have.

Snapping out of his internal monologue analyzing the past of himself- of this body of the second Prince, he said to her, "Go and prepare a bath for me."

She bowed her head and went out of the room leaving him stranded in his own thoughts. He felt incredibly stressed from looking at his life turn upside down - it felt like it was just yesterday when he was conversing with his idiotic friends who wanted to have snapshots of cute girls.

For what else, possibly admiring the chic, or even in extreme cases, fapping while thinking about her. He didn't notice how pointless his thoughts were, in the current situation. It seemed as if he inherited this overthinking trait from the body of the crazy prince he occupied.

As he wouldn't have been able to scheme a few steps ahead of his brother's had he not had this trait. Cheating death 34 times without cultivation was by no mean a small feat for any species that could or not avoid death.

It seemed as if even with all the bad points of this Alex guy, he had a very complex and thorough thinking. Adam clearly admitted that he would have died very easily if he encountered any of the situation that the prince had experienced.

He was able to manipulate his brothers so that they wouldn't kill him since he didn't have any cultivation. This also came with it's good points as well as bad points.

It's good point was that, he couldn't defend himself even if he wanted to. In front of a strong cultivator, he would die like a trash. But it also saved him from his cruel and ruthless brothers who don't seem to think much of the blood ties.

As he was thinking in this direction, Adam thought out loud, "This overthinking is really annoying." He raised his hand so as to cover his mouth as he thought with a deadpan 'I thought that loud huh. I gotta control it.'

He suddenly felt something familiar in his hands. It was his own phone. 'What the hell is this thing doing here? Ain't this world supposed to be a medieval world with no technology edges? Then why is this thing here? I don't want to be those protagonists!?'
