8 Travelling to Spring Continent 1

Chen Ming Yu came down from the carriage when they arrived at the town square. She bid goodbye at the Mercenary Flame Demon and they looked at her until she disappeared from their sight before proceeding to their inn.

Chen Ming Yu and Lan Ke agreed to meet at the town square tomorrow morning to start their journey to the Mercenary Flame Demon's hometown.

Wan Cou open his mouth, "Does Miss Chen an ordinary human? I don't feel any fluctuations of spiritual power from her. If she is, how did she survive that hit?"

And Shu Lei answered, " I don't know. Maybe her cultivation is higher than us."

"It's impossible! I did not even see her used her power in the battle. She's just using her sword!"

Shu Lei fell silent. She remembered Chen Ming Yu did not use any spiritual power or magic once.

"Head, do you think Miss Chen is just an ordinary human?" Wan Cou looked at Lan Ke who also had a thoughtful look on his face.

"I don't know. Even though the Snow Flaming Beast is not in the tier of the powerful beast it is still very strong. If she really is an ordinary human she'll be dead the moment its force hit her body. That little girl should never be looked down upon."

"One must not provoke a person who had a terrible past. They're dangerous."

"Are you saying Chen Ming Yu is dangerous?" Shu Lei asked Lan Ke, his brows knitting together.

"Dangerous to her enemies. Evil to those who want to harm her. A powerful person is those who experience hell in their life and Chen Ming Yu is one of those people. Ordinary or not. She's not a person to be trifled with." Lan Ke said finishing his words before entering his room.

Chen Ming Yu also arrived home. All is silent and only the sound of the wind and her footsteps can be heard.

She finds herself in front of her grandfather's room. No one. Of course, he's already dead.

This is the first time Chen Ming Yu enter his room ever since her grandparents passed away.

"Yu'er, if I and your grandmother passed away, you can use all our treasures to your heart's content."

"But, I am not related to grandfather and grandmother. Why can I able to use it?"

"Your grandparents will give this all to you. What's ours is all yours."

Chen Ming Yu walked around the room. She saw all the precious techniques that her grandparents used, books about forging weapons and others, gems and ingots of golds are there. She also notices a black brocade box at the top of the shelves.

Even though she doesn't want to use this treasure, her grandparents still gave this to her to help her grow.

Chen Ming Yu jump into the air to reach the brocade box.

She opens it. And what's inside is a black pouch and a piece of paper.

"Yu'er, this pouch is yours. It is more valuable than those space rings... Although they have the same usage, this pouch has way deeper space. It's rare and precious since this is one of the two only pouches in the entire realm. Keep it, and store your things inside. This time, it's finally goodbye."

Tears roll downs her face.

This time, it's finally goodbye...

That hurts grandfather. Even if you and grandmother had already left this world you will never leave my heart. I will never forget you and grandmother, and the things you did for me. Even if I died a thousand deaths.

Chen Ming Yu leave the room after putting all the things in the black pouch. Wiping out all the things inside the room, still, the pouch is not full.

Entering her grandmother's room, there was only an armor set in the room but the dignified presence made Chen Ming Yu remember her grandmother.

This armor set was used by her into the battle. This armor was used to protect herself.

She can vividly imagine how fearless her grandmother was when facing the horn of war.

If someone might come across her home while she's not here, she's afraid that if she leaves something behind, precious or not precious, but is still useful, they might steal it.

Chen Ming Yu's gazed stopped at the armor set again. It feels like it's hinting her to come closer, and that's what she did.

When she touched the armor again, a small paper drop.

She picked it up and read the letter aloud.

"Only the chosen one can wield this set of armor. Give the armor a drop of blood and if it chooses you it will show you its true power but if you were not, you must leave this behind."

Chen Ming Yu bit her thumb and presses her thumb at the armor. She waited if something will happen. Nothing.

'Heh'. She snorted to herself. 'Obviously, this armor didn't want me to wield it.'

She left the room after, to go to her own room to rest. Chen Ming Yu had just taken two steps outside when the set of armor suddenly disappeared and Chen Ming Yu was oblivious about it.

In her room, she's done preparing her things, stuffing it inside the black pouch. She then lazily lay down to her bed to rest.

Early morning...

Chen Ming Yu walked passed through the busy streets again just like she always does in the morning.

"Our loyal customers! Come! We have fresh fish that had arrive today!"

"For those with sweet tooth buy our famous cakes!"

"Miss Chen!"

Chen Ming Yu turned around when she heard the familiar voice of the shopkeeper.

"Did you think carefully about the competition? Are you going?"

She nodded.

"That's good. You had a great future ahead of you if you can enter a guild, at the same time enter a school in the Zephyrus. You must do better!" Shopkeeper Sun cheerfully said and was full of smiles.

This shopkeeper was the only one who treated Chen Ming Yu like this normally. The shopkeeper who always had a smile on his face whenever he sees her. Unlike the others, they treated her as a ghost who was just passing by their stores.

"Miss Chen, bring this food with you. It's a long journey so you better eat to have energy."

Chen Ming Yu thanked Shopkeeper Sun.

"Shopkeeper Sun, this is for you. Since I won't be able to buy in your shop for long." Chen Ming Yu said while smiling, and gave Shopkeeper Sun two ingots of gold.

Shopkeeper Sun was stunned at Chen Ming Yu's warm-hearted smile and at the ingots of gold. Before he could thank her, Chen Ming Yu was nowhere to be found. He then anxiously put the ingot of golds inside his robe and a smile of gratitude spread on his face.

Lan Ke and the others spotted Chen Ming Yu blending in with other people while walking. Even though she's not that tall, and with so many people, they can easily spot her because of her extraordinary looks. Her solemn appearance greatly noticeable in the crowd.

Her red skirt and white top fluttered and her long black hair flawlessly tied into a ponytail.

And her face that can't easily miss, won the hearts of every young men and woman. But her cold and distant atmosphere made this young men and women can't easily approach her.

"Miss Chen, good morning." Shu Lei greeted Chen Ming Yu while scratching his nape shyly.

"Good morning."

"Miss Chen, you bring so little. Are you sure you have all your things with you?" Wan Cou cannot help but asked when he notices that Chen Ming Yu only bring a small box that was wrapped with a blue cloth and a tiny black pouch that is attached to her hips.

"Rest assured. I have all I need with me." Chen Ming Yu answered while getting on inside the carriage.

Everything she needs is all inside the pouch, even all the priceless treasures her grandparents had given her. Everything is inside.
