Xiaxia was sent to the lab later than usual because Mo Zhaoshan went there first and Butler Rong isn't back even after three hours. She's going to be late. She haven't enough sleep as well last night, figuring her heart.

After fifteen minutes, the limo finally arrived as she hoped in. The air inside seems a bit heavy and she can't pin point what it is. The perky Butler Rong seems to be unwell today, she thought.

When they arrived at Olympus Laboratory, Butler Rong held her back for a moment.

"Miss Bai, Master said that you should go ahead and go straight to the Mistress' chamber."

She nodded in response and didn't probe any further.

"Miss Bai..." when she turned around to leave, Rong Yue called her again. His face is forcing a smile and a pinch of tear in the corner of his eyes. But Bai Xia stared at him indifferently and raised her brows.

"Please be safe, always." He said and went back to the limo to drive away without waiting for her to reply. Weird.

Bai Xia was still confused but she headed to Mengjing instantly. Her every footstep is heavy and her heart seems to be in turmoil for an unknown reason.

When she arrived at Mengjing, there were no team members yet and she just pushed the button at Gaia's feet to access the staircase going down.

But as soon as she stepped into the grassland, a sound of gun loading was heard. However the staircase was already closed and she can't go back. She just stood there in a daze.

Soon a man with golden robes and golden hair appeared infront of her with a gun raised in the level of her forehead.

"B--brother Sh--shan." She tried to walk backwards but he saw her already.

"Bai... Xia..." a cold glint came into his eyes.

Her heart stopped beating as her back numbed in fear. Cold layers of sweat instantly poured on her forehead. Her soul shattered. Yesterday, we went back to our childhood and I almost admitted something that I shoudn't. But now... he's going to...kill me?

"Today, I'll send you to oblivion."

Her eyes went wide and her breathing stopped.

She suddenly felt a sharp pain on her forehead as she slowly drifted to unconciousness while staring at the golden figure.
