23 Graduation

Finally, it was Annabelle and her friends' graduation day. Grandma Adrian, as usual, was being all dramatic and fussing on Annabelle. "Belle dear, you should put on the rose colored dress you made. It really suits you as the Valedictorian" Grandma Adrian said to Annabelle. "Yes, Anna you should wear the dress cause if you don't I will borrow it" Samantha added.

Samantha had been eyeing the dress ever since Annabelle made it but Grandma Adrian had somehow made an appearance each time she wants to ask Annabelle for the dress. Annabelle was a bit skeptical about wearing the dress, it was her mother's favorite color and even though she was graduating she still felt awkward wearing the dress.

Grandma Adrian noticed her hesitation, "Belle dear, I believe your parents would have been proud of you seeing you today. I know it is not the same but you have me, Samantha, Samuel and that naughty boy" She used the naughty boy instead of calling Charlie. This earned a laugh from Annabelle, Samantha, and Sophia, Grandma Adrian's granddaughter.

Soon the girls were ready and went downstairs to meet the boys. "Wow, Annabelle you look so beautiful," Charlie said while Samuel nodded in agreement. Annabelle smiled shyly "Thank you boys," she said in response. Samantha scoffed looking at this, "I can understand Charlie complimenting Anna but my own brother. I am so disappointed" she sighed dramatically.

They all laughed before Annabelle complimented her "Samantha, I don't think you need anyone to tell you how beautiful you are because you are" Charlie sneered "I don't see the reason in telling her that. Anyway since there is still a bit more time before the ceremony, how about we make good use of it by taking some pictures" Charlie suggested

"I agree with that, I will help you with that" everyone turned to Grandma Adrian as she said this, she actually agreed to something Charlie suggested? That was rare. Seeing everyone looking at her weirdly she cleared her throat before saying "I only liked one of his suggestions, I still don't like him" "Ooh, Grandma Adrian. I love you too" Charlie said while clutching his heart dramatically. At this, Grandma Adrian hit him with her walking cane. Another round of laughter before they finally got into positions for their photographs to be taken.

On their way to their school for the ceremony, Samantha decided to make the atmosphere a little bit lively and relaxed for Annabelle. Folding her hand and bringing it to her mouth like a microphone, she cleared her throat before she started her questions "So, Miss Annabelle Horton, how does it feel to be the best graduating student in the whole university?"

Everyone turned their heads to Annabelle waiting for her reply, "Honestly, guys it feels so weird. I will be standing on that stage today and I don't even know what I am supposed to say" Samuel laughed at this "Well, maybe Samantha should help you up there, though I must say. You two look nothing like each other". Haha, Samantha and Annabelle laughed

Samantha looked at Annabelle clearly for a while before she finally decided to ask Annabelle straight "What are your plans for after graduation?" Shaking her head Annabelle gave her answer "I have no idea on where I should go or what I should do next" "Well that is good then" Samantha said happily. Everyone turned to look at Samantha. "WHAT?" Samantha asked as she noticed their gaze on her.

Moving closer to Annabelle she said shamelessly, "If you don't know how about joining my company?" she asked her bright eyes full of hope.

"You have a company?" Samuel asked his twin sister. "How come I didn't know about that?" Samuel continued a bit confused. "Cause I didn't tell you" Samantha replied. Charlie laughed listening to the siblings. "Anna, please don't be mad when I say this but I may or may not have given your sketches to my parents" Samantha decided to come out with the truth.

"May or may not?" Samuel asked rolling his eyes at his twin. "Fine, I gave it to them. I needed to convince them to help me out with the company and they only agreed after seeing Annabelle's sketches. It was supposed to be a surprise but I can't do it without my chief designer or can I" Samantha said in a very low voice but they all heard her.

"Me, chief designer?" Annabelle asked a bit overwhelmed pointing at herself. Nodding her head enthusiastically Samantha replied with a yes and a smile. "Wait, is it just me or is nobody going to ask Samantha about the name of her imaginary company?" Charlie said with fake mockery. Samuel laughed at this. "You are the imaginary one" Samantha snapped at Charlie.

"Alright, Sam girl you should at least tell me the name," Annabelle said. Scratching her head Samantha replied awkwardly "It doesn't have a name yet". Charlie laughed at this, "See imaginary" he stated taunting Samantha. Closing her eyes Samantha replied through gritted teeth, "It doesn't have a name because I haven't found a suitable name yet"

"How about Sam and Co then?" Samuel asked. "You are not taking credit for my work" Samantha retorted. "Well we can make it Charlie and friends then," Charlie said unabashedly. "NO" everyone replied unanimously. Samantha glared at him, he just called her company imaginary and now he wants to name it after him. Grandma Adrian hit Charlie with her walking cane. Samantha grinned at this.

"What do you think, Anna?" Samantha asked Annabelle who had remained quiet. "Hmm, Knight Indulge Fashions" Anabelle said. "That is actually good and also the only reasonable name I have heard since," Samantha said looking at Samuel and Charlie spitefully. "What do you think of "Belle's designs' though?" Samantha asked

"Wait, you want to name your company after me?" Annabelle asked in shock. "Yes, it is actually quite unique and you are also going to be the chief designer so I don't see anything wrong about it" Samantha kept her fingers crossed as she made this statement. "But don't you think that is too big of a commitment?" Annabelle said at last.

"Well let's just say I believe in you then. I think it is quite nice to have your name on the company" Samantha said, Annabelle looked around and saw all her friends including Grandma Adrian nodding their heads. "Thank you, Sam, but I think it is better we leave the name as 'Knight Indulge Fashions' The clothes we make are all going to have my signature anyway"

Hearing this it sounded reasonable and doable and Samantha nodded happily. Grandma Adrian looked around and seeing as nobody was saying anything more she asked "Don't we need a face for the company? "Well, we do need one but how about we continue the discussion after the ceremony?" Samantha said as she looked outside and noticed they were already in school.

As they stepped out Samuel decided to humor Grandma Adrian, "Anyway, we should at least know who Grandma Adrian has in mind for the company's face" "Why not we can still talk before we get to our seats" Samantha said not detecting the hidden meaning behind her brother's words. Grandma Adrian smiled at this and gave one reply that left them all speechless "ME!!!"
