Annabelle was soon discharged from the hospital, she wanted to thank the man who had helped her after grandma Adrian had let slip during their discussion one afternoon the truth about her rescue. The man was a godsend and even helped in paying all her bills.

Grandma Adrian had already lost the business card given to her which made Annabelle helpless. Annabelle was extremely grateful for grandma Adrian's help during one of her toughest times. She learned from grandma Adrian that she had helped her apply for permission of absence from school.

Her course mates had even taken the time to visit her. Charlie, Samantha, and Samuel had all kept her company during this period of time, helping her with her school work. With Charlie always looking for ways to annoy her she never felt lonely.

She was a bit disappointed that Rose, Elisa, and Emma did not visit her even once but thinking about it, everything was for the best. At least that way she won't keep chasing shadows or holding onto to things that were not meant to be.

The apartment she stayed at was actually gifted to her by Rose, Elisa, and Emma after her family's demise but staying there reminded her of too many sad memories. She could no longer bear it and decided to move out.

Taking what little belongings she had bought herself, she left every other thing that was given to her by the girls. Well, especially Rose, half her wardrobe was filled with clothes from her.

Once she was done parking, she left the apartment. She had just stepped out of her building when she saw grandma Adrian walking up to her. She was a bit stunned.

"Grandma Adrian, what are you doing here? are you not supposed to be resting at home" she asked the old woman that stood opposite her. "Do you have a place to go?" she asked a question of her own.

Annabelle was surprised by this, she had expected her to ask about something else but she could never have guessed that the first thing the old woman will ask is if she had a place to go.

She smiled sweetly at Grandma Adrian before asking her jokingly "Why? are you worried about me?" Grandma Adrian humphed "Who is worried about you? I only came here to see the poster on the signboard"

Annabelle laughed at her words, this was the first time she had laughed sincerely in a very long time. "I am staying over at Samantha's place before I finish school. That way we get to study more together" she told Grandma Adrian not even the least bit annoyed with her. "Oh, that is good then, since I am leaving anyway, let me help you out"

In all honesty, Grandma Adrian had been worried about her after hearing everything about her horrible friends. She had a nagging feeling that Annabelle was moving out and just to satisfy her suspicions she had come to check it out for herself. She had wanted to take her back to her place but she knew what she needed most was not a burden but a few true friends. Since she mentioned moving in with Samantha she found herself sighing in relief.

Samantha's apartment was not really far from hers and in no time they had arrived. Samantha and her brother were waiting for her just outside the apartment. Seeing her they rushed to her to get her bags. They may have been course mates for a few years now but it was when she was at her lowest she knew who her true friends were.

When they entered Samantha's apartment she noticed Grandma Adrian looking around as if she was not comfortable. Seeing her reaction the Annabelle, Samantha, and Samuel understood her meaning "Don't worry Grandma Adrian, Annabelle already told me to not inform him she was moving in with me and my brother is not loose-lipped" The 'him' they were referring to was none other than Charlie. Grandma Adrian may have liked him but for some reasons, she didn't like it when he was around Annabelle. As she called it, he was too playful. She did not even notice her reactions were abnormal for a person who is not Annabelle's parent.

"Hmph, like I care if he knows or not," Grandma Adrian said and although she said this she was very happy within. 'Finally, I can find my beautiful girl a suitable groom' she thought to herself. If any of the trio in the room with her had heard her they would have puked blood by now. Looking at Samuel sternly she gave him a 'What the hell are you still doing here?' look.

Samuel laughed bitterly at himself, the apartment was bought for the twins by their parents but because of Grandma Adrian, he had to look for a place to crash. He was getting overwhelmed by her gaze. Annabelle noticed something was wrong and immediately voiced out "Grandma Adrian, this apartment belongs to the two of them, they are only letting me stay here for the time being"

"You can always move to my place then" Grandma Adrian retorted. Samantha could not hold it in any longer and let out a laugh. Samuel's face had contorted by now, the woman was like the goddess of doom. She behaves like she doesn't care about Annabelle but in reality, she is overprotective of her. There is no wonder why she was discontented with Charlie. Charlie might be playful but he is a loyal friend and everyone knew he had feelings for Annabelle. Well, everyone except for Annabelle herself.

The boy was too playful for his own good. Annabelle and Charlie might have been a perfect match but their characters were too similar. Maybe they could understand each other better but they were too hot-headed. Grandma Adrian knew this from her own experience and did not want the same for Annabelle especially since she was so broken. Imagine saying something serious and your partner laughs it off, or say a joke and your partner takes it seriously. That was not good for any relationship.

Grandma Adrian gave herself a tour of the place and after finding it to her liking she said "Not bad" The twins' did not know why but they sighed in relief after hearing Grandma Adrian. Their happiness soon became shortlived though when they heard Grandma Adrian's next words "How can a place be as dirty as this and you expect someone who just came from the hospital to live here without going back in no time"

"How exactly is the place dirty, Miss Adrian," Annabelle asked sarcastically. Although she knew the old woman was looking out for her she was still angry. The siblings were just helping her out, telling them their house is dirty was the worst insult anyone could bear. "Don't worry Anna, I will clean the place again," Samantha said surprisingly she was not angry at Grandma Adrian.

They may have only known the old woman in less than a week but they could relate her to their own grandmother. The old woman had a twisted way of showing her love. Her compliments were rare but that had helped them to become who they were now. Grandma Adrian glared at Annabelle. "See the owner even said she will clean the place again, I don't know for whom I am even concerned," she said with anger apparent in her eyes turning around and pouting like a child.

"Miss Jennifer, I am very sorry," Annabelle said. Samantha and Samuel were confused hearing her but they soon understood who she was referring to when they saw Grandma Adrian turn all smiles. "Finally, someone gets it, I bet if the two of us stood together they would think we are sisters, don't you think so?" Grandma Adrian asked Annabelle. The old woman had forgotten her anger in her ecstasy.

"Who is Jennifer?" Samantha asked curiously. Shaking her head Annabelle could only reply with "Your idol". She had heard Samuel talk about Jennifer Matori as Samantha's idol when she was still hospitalized. "WHAT!!!" the twins screamed in shock at the same time. "You mean the superstar Jennifer Matori, my queen?" Samantha asked helplessly.

Annabelle shook her head vigorously, she wanted to see Samantha's reaction as her idol was being compared with Grandma Adrian. She was not disappointed when Samantha looked at Grandma Adrian scrutinizing her from head to toe. "I don't see it nor do I get how you look like my idol. You look nothing like her"

Grandma Adrian's mood turned sour, "I knew you wouldn't get it, Sam boy what do you think?" she asked Samuel who had no plans of staying once Samantha's idol was mentioned. He knew how crazy she could get when the name was being mentioned. Looking at Grandma Adrian he thought the old woman must be out to get him. He stayed silent not knowing what to say the three women were all staring at him.

Samuel could not answer Grandma Adrian right without offending Samantha and vice-versa. "Why don't we clean the house Samantha, Annabelle is supposed to be resting and she still hasn't eaten. How thoughtless of you" Clearing his throat "I will start the cleaning in my room" With that he turned around and walked away as fast as he could to his room.
