1 The dragon's magic

The curtain was drawn in a tastefully decorated room, with the only source of light coming from the 32' led TV. There were three girls seated on the couch in front of the TV watching the drama that was ongoing intently. The drama which was named 'The dragon's magic' was particularly eye-catching and interesting since there was absolute silence with only the occasional mms, awws and ahs.

The three girls stayed glued to the TV in hope to see the main characters when they were younger as Rose called it they were two 'Adorable kids' you could see the light in her eyes whenever she sees the kids. In the group, she was known as the mother figure although they were mostly the same age.

'Young one I promise to give you all you desire if only you just help me get some water for my parched throat' the dragon which was in form of a human said to the male lead in the movie. The dragon usually uses his human form when he wants to test out who his new master would be, he's lived a long time and ever since his last master died a little over three decades ago, the dragon hasn't found a suitable master yet. They were all either too arrogant or they just weren't nice.

He was beginning to lose hope of ever finding a master when he saw a little boy no more than the age of five playing in the field with a sheep, the boy looked very handsome even with the tattered clothes he put on, he was smiling radiantly like he didn't have a care in the world.

The dragon came to him and made his request, the little boy looked up to the dragon and smiled before handing him the bottle of water around his neck. 'Grandpa you can't stay in the sun too long or else your skin won't look good' the little boy said to the dragon. The dragon finished the water in the bottle and handed it back to the boy. When the boy saw this, he wanted to cry because that water was supposed to last him till night. The dragon was amused with the boy's reaction because although the little boy looked angry, he still smiled at him.

'Young one, what is the matter? I did something horrible now, didn't I' He noticed the boy refused to talk and hence he took out two silver coins to give him. The little boy saw this and his crystal clear eyes became bright but when he raised his head to look at the dragon, he smiled pleasantly and rejected him politely before telling the old man to make sure he brings his bottle of water with him if ever he was going out alone.

As the little boy turned to leave, he looked back at the dragon and then asked him to follow him to his house so the dragon could sleep.

The dragon was pleasantly surprised and decided to be the little boy's servant.

They were still watching the movie starry-eyed when the door was suddenly opened with a loud bang, causing the girls to look up with a frown to scold the intruder. Elisa who had been crying and heartbroken since her breakup with Trevor was even angrier when she noticed the glare her friends were giving her. As Emma, the blonde one among the three girls earlier was about to insult the intruder she suddenly stopped when she noticed her best friend crying, the scolding turned to worry immediately "Elisa what is the problem? your eyes are swollen"

Elisa did not reply and instead started to wail loudly,

seeing this the remaining two girls who were still seated stood up and walked over to her with concern written all over their faces. As they were consoling her, they suddenly heard Emma scream out loud. They were all shocked and turned to look at her, even Elisa's tears stopped.

Rose was angry at Emma and stared at the latter like she was an idiot. Emma ignored the look on Rose's face and came up to Elisa holding her hand and giving proper scrutiny. They were all waiting for her to say what made her scream and she didn't hold herself back any longer and blurted it out "Did Trevor hit you?" Elisa stared at her mouth agape and when Emma didn't get a response she was even more certain that was the case. "That son of a *****, that bastard, a**...." She was rambling on when Elisa laughed out, she held onto her stomach as tears fell out of her eyes. "Why exactly are you laughing? " Emma was furious when she saw this but even the other two were puzzled when they noticed this reaction from Elisa.

Finally, Elisa decided to say the truth "He didn't hit me and he wouldn't even dare but he broke up with me, can you imagine that. What rubbish" hmmph. The three girls looked at her in shock. Rose could not help it any longer and decided to ask "So why exactly are you crying again if that's what happened? Isn't it just a breakup?" "Are you been serious right now, I said he broke up with me, I should be the one to break up with him, not the other way round" Elisa retorted angrily

Annabelle who hasn't said a word since decided to ask Elisa too "Why did he break up with you?"

"I caught the idiot cheating on me with some bimbo and when I confronted him about it, he told me he didn't love me and that I was controlling, humph, me controlling that's ridiculous" Elisa took a sip of the water Annabelle handed to her sometimes back only to see her friends looking at her. "What?" she snapped. Rose was the one pushed to answer "Well...." she started "I wouldn't call it controlling maybe pushy, too bossy, forceful, paranoid, too over the top, but I still won't call you controlling" she finished as she saw Elisa's face turning darker than the bottom of a pot. Emma couldn't hold it in any longer and burst out laughing.
