Liu Yang looked at his side profile and was in awe. At first, she did not know what view she would admire. She inhaled the night breeze and nodded with a smile. "Yes, it is."

"You have allergies, remember?"

He grinned and took another cigarette. "Come here. The view is better out here."

Liu Yang unhurriedly moved to his side. He parked the car facing the towards the city lights so, they leaned against the hood of his car. The two of them did not utter any words and just admire the city lights. She put her arms on her chest and shivered as the breeze gently blew past her.

"Here." Liu Yang turned sideways and saw him handing his blazer to her and is now only wearing a shirt.

"What about you?" she did not reach for the jacket immediately.

He just shrugged. "I'm good, I'm used to it."

"Thank you."

He took a long drag from his cigarette and chuckled. "You're my girlfriend from now on, it's my pleasure."

"Right," she said with a smile and put the jacket on. "By the way, how did you know this place? For someone who hasn't been back home for a decade, you sure are capable. Even I don't know this place exists."

"I found this place by accident when I just arrived here. We were racing at that time…"

"You do car racing?!" Guan was not able to finish his statement because she interrupted him. As he turned his head to face her, he saw the glint in her eyes; something that he did not see in Min Chu.

He narrowed his eyes. "Yeah. You race, too?"

Liu Yang leaned back on the car. "No. I just find it cool."

"You've been on one?"

She shook her head. "Nope. I've only seen it on TV."

"Oh. Don't worry, I'll take you whenever I got the time."

"Really?" Liu Yang got excited.

Guan saw her smile that reached her eyes and found it very cute. He could not help but also laugh to himself.

"See? I told you would get benefits of being my girlfriend."

Liu Yang pouted and pulled the jacket closer to her body. "Speaking of which, I want this relationship to be hidden. After all, we are only pretending, why bother announcing it to the world. And after this, we are never going to see each again." She turned to him with a serious face.

"You're a public figure. If the world out there knew, my life would be in chaos and so is the people around me. I don't want that to happen. I hope you'd understand."

Guan threw the cigarette and put his hands on his pockets. "Your friends knew."

"They're an exception. My life is an open book to them."

"Okay. I understand where you're coming from."

He was about to lit up another cigarette when he remembered the thing that happened just this morning.

"Shit!" he cursed and closed his eyes agonizingly.

"Hey, what is it?" she asked with concern.

Guan sighed. "Promise me you won't get mad…Mother knew."

"What? What! How?" she exclaimed.

"I don't know for sure. I have a hunch that someone from the servants told her since most of them were from the old house." He explained while putting the cigarette back into the pack.

Then he added, "But don't worry, I told her not to intrude in our matters since we just started getting to know each other."

"Good then."

"Let's go back, it's getting late." Guan casually puts his hands on her shoulders.

Liu Yang went stiff but just lets him be. He opened the door for her and puts her safety belt on. She leaned her body on the seat as his face is near hers that she could even smell his scent, making her cheeks red and vision blurry. As he finished and left her side, she let out a silent breath that she did not she was holding.
