102 NOT DROOLING OVER YOU!

Liu Yang heaved a sigh of relief as the car moved its way towards the traffic.

"Are you alright?" Guan glanced sideways with his hands on the steering wheel. "You seem so tensed just now. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Where are we going, anyway?" she lied and changed the subject.

Guan also did not think too much about it. He said with a smile, "To have dinner. My treat. You can eat as much as you want."

Her brows perked up with interest. "Really? Don't take back your words later." She heard him snort.

"Sure."

Just then, Liu Yang felt some vibration inside her bag and immediately rummaged through it. The vibration came from her phone and her eyes went wide when she saw the caller.

With hesitation, she answered the call in a hushed voice. "Hello, Li? What is it?"

"What do you mean, 'What is it?'! Where the hell are you?!" On the other line, Wan Li's enraged and piercing voice could be heard. She even has to pull the phone a little farther from her ear.

She bit her lip and felt guilty about what she just did. "I'm sorry. I…Let me explain, please?"

Liu Yang heard Wan Li sigh. "Where have you gone?" This time, his voice is softer than before.

As an honest friend, Liu Yang told him the truth. "The truth is, he fetched at the publishing today. And I don't want everybody to see me because…because they'll think that…you know."

"What do you mean? And who is 'he'?"

Liu Yang secretly glanced at the man beside him and tried to suppress her voice out of his earshot. "You know, Niu Guan Ning."

Guan still heard her since the car is so quiet but did not interrupt her. He just smiled and continue to focus on his driving.

Wan Li gasped. "What the fu--! Damn, girl! So, that's the reason why you were nowhere to found?! Okay, I'll forgive you now but, please don't do this next time. You are going to give me a heart attack." He sighed. "Awwwe, you are such a big girl right now."

She rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Big girl your ass! I'm sorry once again. I did not mean to leave just like that. It's just…"

"I know. You don't have to explain everything. I'm hanging up now, a call is waiting. Oh, and we have so much to talk about. Bye!"

Without waiting for her to reply to his blabbering, the call ended. Liu Yang smiled and put her phone back inside her bag.

"We're here."

She heard him say and looked outside. Liu Yang took a big gulp when she saw the view outside. It's a restaurant called 'Breeze' and it's a newly opened restaurant in the city.

Guan opened the car door for her but hesitated to get out.

"Are you we are going to eat in there?" she asked looking at him in doubt.

"Don't worry, I can afford it."

"It's not that, it's…"

"Come on!" Guan pulled her hand and dragged her into the restaurant.

Inside, a staff greeted them and led them to their table. The staff gave each of them a menu. As she browsed through it, Liu Yang could not help but closed it straight away. The prices of the food were rather high than expected.

"What would like to eat? Just say it," Guan peered at her through the menu with a smile.

"You decide."

"Fine." He folded the menu and peered up at the staff standing on the side. "Two servings of sirloin steak, well-done. Also, give us some vegetables, any kind, and fries. Oh, and a bottle of wine, please."

"Would that be all, sir?"

"Yeah, thank you."

Liu Yang narrowed her eyes at him as the staff takes his leave. She did not know that this Young Master could be this polite at times. She thought that being arrogant and conceited is all he could. Liu Yang began to admire him a little because of this.

Guan caught her looking at him admiringly and it delighted him the most.

"Am I that handsome for you to be drooling over me?"

'I take back what I said.' Liu Yang thought as she heard what he said. He really is full of himself. Is it a necessity for a son of a conglomerate to be conceited?

"I'm not drooling. And if I'm drooling over someone, it's never going to be you." She retorted and rolled her eyes.
