99 THAT WAS HIM?!

Liu Yang felt breathless after uttering those words. She did not even know she was holding her breath. In front of her, Wan Li went stiff and is seemingly speechless. He blinked his several times while looking at her blankly.

"Girl," he finally uttered and gripped her hands tightly. "Are you sure that's who he is? What's if he's a fraud?"

Liu Yang flicked his gripping hands away from hers. "Yeah, I'm a hundred percent sure. He looks like CEO Niu and, Mei would never want me to have a blind date with just anyone."

"Why?"

"What do you mean 'why'?" feeling flabbergasted at his words.

"I mean, why you? How did he know you? I remember that according to Mei he just came back abroad so, how in the world did he get to know you?!"

Watching at Wan Li's skepticism, it feels like she does not deserve to be dated by someone like Guan Ning. Liu Yang put her right hand on her chest near her heart as if in pain by his words.

"So, what are trying to say? That I don't deserve to be dated by someone like him?"

Wan Li frowned. "Stop being the 'drama queen'. That's not what I'm trying to say. What I really mean is, how did he know you?"

"I don't how to say this." She took a deep breath before continuing. "Do you remember the guy at the bookstore days ago? Oh, and the guy at the coffee shop, the one I bumped into…that was him."

Silence filled her office.

"Girl! I think I dropped my jaw somewhere," he said after a minute while looking down, searching for something. She laughed at his actions and lightly slapped his arm.

"That was him? No wonder he totally looked so familiar at first." His face still could not believe what she had just said. "So, what have you talked about? Was it love at first sight?"

Liu Yang scoffed. The way Wan Li looked at her right entails that the Young Master is into her. "No! It wasn't. He needed a favor so, he asked Mei to see me."

With his eyes narrowed, Wan Li probed, "What favor?"

She contemplated once again. "I don't know if I have the right to tell you about this but, anyway, I'm going tell it to you." She inhaled first. "He asked me to help him forget about someone."

"What? I don't get it. Enlighten me, please."

As she was about to open her mouth, a knock came. Their eyes both darted towards the open door and saw Qiao Lan awkwardly standing outside.

"Sorry to interrupt you, Editors but Ms. Min called an emergency meeting today."

"When was that?" Liu Yang asked almost in horror.

Qiao Lan thought about it and answered, "About five minutes ago?"

The two of them scurried from their seats. Liu Yang gathered things that are essential during the meeting. They did not even noticed that they have been talking for almost an hour.

"Why haven't I received any texts from them?" he muttered while taking his out of his pocket. "Shit! I received one but did not even noticed it coming." He turned to Liu Yang who is busy organizing herself with a mirror in hand.

"I'll go up first. They're heading towards there now."

Liu Yang just nodded without even looking at her. Before completely going out of her office, by the door, Wan Li eyed Qiao Lan from head to toe who also, subconsciously, checked himself from head to toe that made the latter frown in confusion.

"Let's go." Qiao Lan heard it and glanced at Liu Yang with a smile.
