96 FOR THE FIRST TIME

Guan arrived at the Niu mansion after thirty minutes. As he parked his car on the courtyard, he saw a white BMW also being parked next to his. He frowned and sensed something is not right. He contemplated to enter the house and decided to stay inside his car for a couple of minutes when he heard someone knocked on his car window.

It startled him a little and annoyingly wounded his window down. "What?"

Butler Han smiled at him. Though Guan hasn't been in the mansion for a long period time, as someone who had been in the mansion all his life, Butler Han knew how short-tempered he was when he was little and was used to it.

"Second Young Master, Madam had been waiting for you inside."

Guan did not hide his irritation. "Aside from Mother and Father, who else is here?"

The butler pursed his lips. "I think you should go inside and greet Madam yourself, Second Young Master. Master went golfing with his friends."

He didn't have much choice and disappoint her mother. Guan alighted from his car and went inside the house. On the way, he asked Butler Han behind him, "How did you know I already arrived?"

"Madam told me to wait for you outside," Butler Han politely answered.

Guan could not help but massage his temples and deliberately slowed down as he was approaching at the entrance.

As expected, as he entered the living room, he saw an elderly man and woman with their backs facing him.

"Guan, you're already here!" his mother beamed at him.

He could not help but force a smile. "Mother," he greeted and went to her side to kiss her cheeks.

Guan sat next to Choi Minjun and faced the visitors when noticed the beautiful woman sitting across him next to the two elderly. He had a clear idea of what was going on. His mother poured him a cup of tea.

"Minjun, is this your second son?" the woman asked with a bright smile.

Choi Minjun nodded happily and put her cup on the table. "Guan, do you still remember your Uncle and Aunt Jiang, and their daughter Xue? They were here on your seventh birthday."

Guan casually sipped the tea before shaking his head. He faced the elderly and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, Uncle and Auntie. That was a long time ago and I could hardly remember."

He was amazed and proud of himself right now. He didn't know that he could be this polite in front of others. Guan vaguely saw that the two elders looked at each other, rather pleased by his attitude.

"Even you forgot about me?" a sweet female voice spoke. Guan glanced at the woman and saw her looking at him intently. "I never forgot about that day, even for a bit," she added.

Is she talking about his seventh birthday? All he could remember that day were the gifts given to him, and that's it. It was totally a blur inside his head.

As if to the rescue, Choi Minjun uttered, "Guan is a bit reckless back then. He probably did not mind anyone when he was little except for his brother and cousin."

"That's alright, it's all in the past anyway. I heard that he just came back from his studies abroad." Mrs. Jiang replied.

Mrs. Niu: "Yes, he is. He probably knew nothing about the development of the city since he hasn't been home for a long period of time." then, she looked towards the young woman. "Xue, why don't you give him a tour around?"

Guan almost spat the tea out of his mouth. What is he, a kid? He had been back for over three months for goodness sake! He was tempted to roll his eyes at them. Even the Jiang elders nodded in agreement.

Jiang Xue's face brightened. "That would be a pleasure, Auntie." She turned to him and asked, "Guan, what do you think?"

Guan? How casual. They just met. He felt disgusted by the way she calls his name.

Wait a minute! Guan's hand holding the cup twitched a little that nobody noticed it. For the very first time, he felt disgusted because a woman tried to seduce her openly?! Different kinds of emotions washed over him. How in the world…?

"Guan…," Jiang Xue woke him up from his dazed state as she softly called his name.

She's intently looking at him, hoping that he would give her a satisfactory answer. But his answer shocked not only Jiang Xue but everyone in the room.

"I'm afraid I can't. My girlfriend won't be happy about."
