87 MEETING

Liu Yang eyed the dress and found it a bit familiar.

"Is that…"

But before she could finish her sentence, Li Jun cut her off. "Yes, it is. Now go, we don't have much time. We haven't fixed your hair yet." He pushed her towards her room once again.

As Liu Yang finished changing into the dress, Wan Li and Li Jun were once astonished by her looks. They really did a good job at giving her a make-over.

"Oh my god! You're so beautiful!" Wan Li bounced with joy. "Pair it with these," he put a pair of white shoes in front of her feet. She looked down saw her own shoes that made her giggle.

"You two really did exert an effort in doing this." Liu Yang effortlessly put on her pumps.

"That's how supportive we are to you," Wan Li said as he pulled Liu Yang to the couch to fix her hair.

The two men were torn between letting her hair down or tying it into a bun when Liu Yang suddenly asked, "Do I have to wear my glasses or my contact lenses?"

Noticing their silence, she looked up to them and saw their darkened faces.

Li Jun: "Oh, fuck! I forgot you are visually challenged."

Wan Li: "No worries, you don't have to wear any. You will only look at your date tonight anyway."

Liu Yang pouted as she heard them. Whatever…

After further deliberation, the two decided to tie her hair into a ponytail. Liu Yang is ready to go when her stomach started grumbling.

"Can I eat?" she asked the two who profusely shook their heads in disagreement. Liu Yang grimaced but she had no choice but to obey.

----

At 6:30 in the evening, Liu Yang's doorbell rang. Wan Li stood up and opened the door. A man in his forties greeted him and is somewhat wearing a uniform. He frowned and asked the man, "Yes?"

"Is Ms. Liu here? Sir asked me to pick her up," the man politely said with a smile.

Wan Li answered with an 'Oh' and called Liu Yang inside.

"Yang, someone is here to pick you up."

Liu Yang stood up and peeked the man by the door who is patiently waiting for her. She took a deep breath and glanced at her two friends. They hugged her and even whispered 'good luck' to her. She snickered and lightly slapped their shoulders.

"Good evening, Ms. Liu. Please," the man greeted and made way for her towards the elevator.

Downstairs, Liu Yang saw a luxurious black car. She knew nothing about cars therefore, she didn't know what type of car it is, all she knew is, the car in front of her is quite expensive.

The man opened the door of the back seat and Liu Yang entered willingly. She couldn't help but think: 'Maybe Li is right, her date is some sort of a big shot. Weird.'

The journey went smoothly until Liu Yang noticed that the road they were taking felt so unfamiliar to her and was somewhat nervous. Then, she noticed that they entered a gate.

Liu Yang glanced at the dim lights outside through the car window and saw that the place is full of trees but it's not sinister looking instead, it calmed her erratic heartbeat.

Now her intuition is finally answered – the person she is going to meet is of high status. Only a person within the elite circle can enter this kind of place.

"Miss Liu, we're here," the man uttered.

Liu Yang thanked the man and alighted from the car. From afar, though her eyesight is really not that promising, with its lights, she could tell that a gazebo is waiting up ahead facing a lake. She could that tell it's a body of water because the cool breeze said so; good thing she had a blazer on. The path towards it is illuminated with LED lights on both sides.

As she is nearing the gazebo, she could hear the faint sound of a piano playing. She lightly scoffed. Why does it seem so romantic? It's just the first date.

Entering, Liu Yang was greeted by a staff in uniform who smiled at her, in which, she reciprocated the gesture. She was led to the man in a gray suit with his back facing them.

"Sir, the guest has arrived."

The man slowly turned to face them. He wore a subtle smile on his face. As Liu Yang clearly saw his face, her eyes widened in total surprise.

"You…"
