80 CONCEITED MAN
Guan Ning stared at her beautiful eyes and felt dazed for a second. "Are you okay?"
Hearing his voice, Liu Yang returned to her senses. She immediately loosened her clutch on his shirt and pushed his body away from hers. She shuddered as she remembered how intimate their position was and held Wan Li's hand for support. The way she reacted somehow confused the man.
"It's okay," Wan Li whispered and gripped Liu Yang's hand after noticing how cold it was; she hid behind him.
He slightly bowed at the man in front of them. "Thank you for saving my friend."
As he raised his head and looked at his face, Wan Li frowned. He probed, "Have we meet before? You seem so familiar to me."
Before Guan Ning could open his mouth, he heard Wan Li exclaimed, "Ah! You're that guy at the bookstore! Yang, look!" he nudged Liu Yang who is hiding behind him with her head bowed down.
Liu Yang slowly raised her head and looked at Guan Ning with no emotions on her beautiful face. "Yeah, it's him, the conceited man."
Conceited? Guan Ning was stumped for words after hearing what she had said. He forced a smile even though his pride and ego is extremely hurting.
Behind them, Su Bin saw and heard everything, and was just holding his laugh all this time.
Liu Yang can't take it anymore. Her anxiety is acting up and felt like everybody is staring at her because of the 'accident'. She lowered her head even more, gripping Wan Li's hand harder.
Wan Li noticed this and took it as a cue to leave. "Mister, we better go. Once again, thank you," and they exited the café leaving Guan Ning with complex emotions.
Guan Ning subconsciously clutched his chest as he looked at their fading figures.
On the side, Su Bin could not help it anymore and burst into a bubble of hysterical laughter. Then, he ushered his poor cousin outside to their car; he's still speechless even the Liu Yang and Wan Li were long gone.
Back at Yinyang Publishing, inside the elevator, Liu Yang still looked pale that made Wan Li worried to the core. "Hey, do you need water? You look pale, what's wrong?"
Liu Yang shook her head. "It's nothing. I'll be fine in a while," she smiled to stop him from worrying.
Wan Li got out of the elevator still thinking about her current state but Liu yang assured him that she's totally fine. The two of them returned to their desks and buried themselves with their work.

Through the drive until they arrive at his home, Guan Ning still did not utter any word. Su Bin did not know if he should be worried or what. Just as he was about to tap Guan Ning's shoulder and ask him if he's okay, the latter grabbed him by the collar and pinned him to the wall.
Su Bin felt a stinging pain on his back as he was caught by surprise.
"C…co…dear cousin, what have I done wrong this time?" he stammered while raising his hands up.
He may be used to Guan Ning's temper but it still scared him out of his wits making him wanted to pee on his pants every time. He is really scary every time he throws into a fit.
The way he looks at him right now is filled with killing intent. Feels like his eyes are throwing daggers at him – if only looks could kill, he would have been dead by now.
Guan Ning still did not utter any single word and just continued gripping his collar as if there's no tomorrow.
"G...Guan, let go of me then we'll talk, okay?"
