79 ‘ACCIDENT’

Guan Ning turned his head to face him with an uninterested look. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Su Bin chewed on the straw of his frappe. "My dearest cousin, do you believe in serendipity, luck, coincidence...?"

"Shut up!"

Su Bin pursed his lips. He chuckled as Guan Ning returned his sight back to the entrance of Yinyang Publishing.

Not far away from their table, Su Bin could see Liu Yang and Wan Li happily chatting. He rose from his seat and tapped Guan Ning's shoulder.

"I'm going to greet some friends over there."

He winked at him. The comical look on his face irritated Guan Ning to his core and ignored him, flicking Su Bin's hand away.

Su Bin took big careful strides towards the direction of Wan Li and Liu Yang with his frappe in hand. In front of the table, he cleared his throat and greeted them.

"Ladies, good afternoon."

Liu Yang heard a familiar voice and turn to face who was it. Before she could react, Wan Li got ahead of her.

"Third Young Master, wht are you doing here?"

She smiled at Su Bin and greeted, "Mr. Su, hello."

"Come on, guys, just Su Bin. I feel so awkward whenever you call me those kinds of stuff." He gave his most friendly smile to them. "Are you off work already?"

"No, we just need to a break for a while. It's too busy right now inside, so, here we are." Wan Li answered merrily.

"Uhm…Su Bin, please take a seat." Liu Yang offered the vacant seat in between them.

Su Bin's brow perked up subconsciously; he was shocked by how Liu Yang is amiable today towards him. He willingly took the seat while checking his innocent cousin not so far away, stifling his laugh without the two people in front of him noticing.

The café they are in is not that big and wide but Guan Ning's seat is at the other corner with his back facing the crowd, therefore, he was not able to spot Liu Yang inside.

Noticing Su Bin hasn't been back for a while, leaving his cheesecake untouched. Feeling a bit bored and hungry, he started eating it and found how delicious it is. He just had a vague idea to buy the café one day.

After eating the cheesecake, he glanced at his watch and saw that it's already 4:30 in the afternoon. It's been thirty minutes since Su Bin left. He rose from his and decided to go to him.

Just as he was about to take a step towards him, he saw him talking to man and a woman. He narrowed his eyes that immediately turned wide upon seeing the beautiful woman he's idiot cousin is talking to. 'This jerk is such a traitor!' he cursed in his mind.

Liu Yang looked at her watch and frowned. "Oh, Li, it's time to go back," she blurted, cutting what Su Bin had been telling them about Yu Mei's job.

"Oh. I'm sorry, Su Bin, we have to go." Wan Li just said and nodded at Liu Yang. All of them rose form their seats.

"Are you going home already?" Su Bin asked, moving his eyes from Liu Yang and Wan Li.

"No, we are busy right now and to take some overtime at the publishing," Liu Yang answered.

"Oh. You better go, then."

"We'll get going now."

Guan Ning saw that Liu Yang is headed for the door so, he took big strides and purposely bumped his body onto hers. The latter is wearing a two-inched heeled shoes making her trip.

Liu Yang's body twisted. She closed her eyes hard, anticipating to land on the floor. Instead of the cold hard floor, she felt she landed on something that she could not distinguish what is with a whiff of some fragrant scent. She slowly opened her eyes and saw black captivating eyes staring at her.

For a moment, she felt the world stopped spinning just by staring at those eyes.
