77 AFFIRMATION

It's a Saturday but Liu Yang and Wan Li still went to the office as well as the others, to finish the tasks at hand.

At 10 in the morning, a knock snapped out of her focus from reading some manuscripts. She looked up and saw the proof reader standing by the door with some documents in hand.

"Okay, thank you."

As the proof reader left, Liu Yang glared at the stack of papers with contempt. She really feels like crying right at this moment, when she heard her phone suddenly ring.

With a lazy voice, she said, "Hmm, Mei? What is it?"

"Are you okay? You sound exhausted." Yu Mei's concerned voice could be heard.

She leaned her back on the chair to relax. "I'm fine. I'm just busy at work, that's all. What's the matter?"

"Oh. Is that it? I'm just gonna ask you when are you going to be free?"

"Why?" Liu Yang looked at the calendar on her desk as she said this. "I'm probably free...uhm...in the middle of next month? I guess."

On the other end of the line, Yu Mei lost her balance, almost tripping on toes eventuough she's wearing some slippers. She held the wall beside her as support.

"What?!"

Liu Yang held her phone away from her ear and grimaced. "Girl, what the hell? What is it anyway? Spill it right now, I'm super busy."

"Uhm, it's just that...someone asked me to go on a blind date with you."

"Hello? Yang?" Silence followed after what Yu Mei had said.

Then she suddenly heard a bubble of laughter on the other side and got confused.

Liu Yang hysterically laughed while holding her stomach with her free hand.

"Is that what you wanted to tell me? Why do have to go around the bush?" she said in between her laughter.

Yu Mei bit her lip. "I thought you are going to reject it."

Then she heard Liu Yang draw a deep sigh and said, "Why should I? I'll go since it's coming from you. I'll inform you when I'll be free."

Yu Mei did not know why but she felt extremely happy when heard it. "Really? Okay. Then, goodbye."

"Bye."

As the call ended, Liu Yang continued reading the manuscripts on her desk.

Yu Mei happily hopped back into the bedroom and pounced on the sleeping Su Bin.

He sleepily hugged her waist. "Why are you so happy, hmm?" he asked with his eyes closed.

With a wide smile on her face, Yu Mei answered, "Yang agreed! Yiiee! I don't know why but I really am happy."

Su Bin opened his eyes and affectionately stared at her smiling face. He patted her head with his big hand then kissed her pink lips.

"Give me your cousin's number. I'm gonna inform him about it."

He propped his head with his arm, and with blank face, he said, "No, I'll be the one who will do it."

His girlfriend pouted. "He's your cousin, why are you jealous? Tell him that she is still busy and will call me on her free time."

"Okay. I'll tell him personally today." He kissed her forehead before getting up. "I'll go take a shower first."
