52 LOVE STORY

Yu Mei saw how expectant her friends are to hear their 'love story'. She laughed lightly and said, "Fine," and took a deep breath, trying to relax her overwhelmed emotion.

"I met him at a friend's party who came back from America two years ago." Yu Mei started, with a hint of smile is visible on her lovely face.

At a villa two years ago.

Yu Mei stepped out of the car with hesitation. If it wasn't for her mother urging her to attend this party, she would be at home leisurely enjoying her day off.

As she makes her way inside with a gift in her hand, she's greeted by Wang Lijing, the owner of the villa and the host of the party.

"Yu Mei! You're here," he said enthusiastically and hugged her. Truth be told, this Young Master has a crush on her.

She smiled at him and gave the present prepared by her mother. "Happy birthday. Here, it's for you."

"Wow! Thank you," Wang Lijing delightedly accepted her gift. "Come, they're all here waiting for you."

They? Oh, of course. Her so-called friends in her social circle are all here. Did he say they're waiting for her? Yu Mei internally rolled her eyes, how fake!

Wang Lijing ushered her to the backyard where a pool is situated. She can see women in their bikinis and topless men. Sure, they're handsome but Yu Mei doesn't mind, their attitudes are boring as hell anyway.

"Yu Mei!" she heard a female voice calling out her name, waking her up from her reverie. She forced her smile upon seeing the person.

"Jiang Kixin, you're also here," she said as she forced a smile.

Yu Mei took a seat right next to Jiang Kixin on the couch. The people around are all sons and daughters of some of the most influential people in the city, and Jiang Kixin is known as her 'bestfriend' which is probably not.

Jiang Kixin told everyone about them being close to her just because she likes Yu Mei's brother, Yu Jei. She even told everyone that the Yu elders favors her as their future daughter-in-law. The latter is somewhat true but Yu Jei brushed off the topic and doesn't really care.

Yu Mei just lets her be, she doesn't really want to burst someone's bubble. That would be rude.

"Where's your brother? Why isn't he here? How's Auntie and Uncle, by the way?" she heard Jiang Kixin's series of questions beside her.

Yu Mei's lips twitched in irritation. She forced another smile at her and said, "My brother is busy at the company. Mother and Father are both doing fine." Then she takes a glass of wine from the waiter and sips it silently, ignoring the people around.

Jiang Kixin and others kept engaging her in the conversation but she kept answering monosyllabically. When someone proposed to play a game, Yu Mei excused herself and pretended to go to the toilet.

It is already 8 o'clock in the evening. The party lights illuminated the vast yard of Young Master Wang. She made her way out of the crowd, trying to find somewhere quiet with a glass of wine in her hand until she found a pond nearby.

The pond is really not that big but she felt that it was deep. Yu Mei casually sips from her wine while she stood at the edge of the pond when she heard someone softly coughed behind her. She turned around and was startled to see a towering figure.

She subconsciously took a step back and got tripped by something. She closed her eyes, expecting to land on water when she felt a firm hand clutching her.

"Are you, okay?"

Yu Mei slowly opened her eyes and saw a handsome face. She pushed the man immediately. Knowing how awkward their position is.

"You're quite heavy," the man said while smiling. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight. Though the place where they are is not really well lit, she could that this man is good looking.

But what, heavy?! She's a doctor! She always monitors her diet. She frowned and glared at him.

"Thank you," she said in an unfriendly tone and was about to leave the place when she heard him chuckle.

"Is that how you repay your savior?"

Yu Mei turned to face him at a distance and folded her arms on her chest and scoffed. "What should I do repay your kindness?"

"Go out with me." The man bluntly said.

She rolled her eyes and laughed. As expected! "Do you even know who I am?"

"Yu Mei, only daughter of the Yu family, a doctor at Xinjiang Hospital. Tell me, is there something I missed?" he said while slowly making his towards her.

Yu Mei's eyes widened. How come he knows almost all of my information? Then she saw him extending his hands towards her.

"My name is Su Bin, Third Young Master of Niu family." He said with a smile.
