60 Princess of Hynestia
A foreign feeling at touch, soft and silky. Her eyes began to open slowly, white sheets, blue comforter with a silver lining and trim. She stared at the back of her ebony hand, her eyes squinting slightly as her sight began to clear up.
This room, it looked familiar, like the inside of a Star Destroyer or an Imperial Citadel.
Rinetta's hand tightened on the sheets already in her grasp, her eyes began to travel down to the rest of her. She was wearing a white long sleeved shirt of refined material, white slacks to match and a pair of powered boots. At least she was still dressed.
Her mind was processing all the worst things that could have possibly happened. Yet she found herself not in restraints and free on the bed. She wasn't alone either, as she began to squirm a little where she was laying around, her eyes rested upon the two others. Vaylin and Riané, whom were comfortably sleeping.
Compared to them, she felt extremely weak. She could barely lift herself as if there was some sort of weight holding her down. Her head throbbed. What was this? Why did she feel so drained?
"Gris..." She groaned out for her Strategy instructor, flexing her fingers. Yet there was no one there, no one to answer the plea. She had been taken? Had she been taken by the Empire? She squeezed her eyes shut, then opened them slowly.
She was still in this room. Her eyes gazed over the decor, it seemed to be that of someone's personal quarters. There were books written in the high galactic alphabet on shelves across from the bed. There was a flat holographic screen in the corner facing the bed at an angle. She moved her head to look behind her at the mantle, her eyes narrowing on the frozen girl in carbonite. The facial expression wasn't something that was comforting to see.
Groaning, she forced herself into sitting up on the bed. There was a twenty-four hour based clock device on the nightstand beside the headboard. She narrowed her eyes, figuring this ship followed the standard galactic time.
Reaching down she pushed her shoes off her feet before kicking them off the side of the bed. The eery hum which often lulled starship personnel to sleep at night, gave her the idea that she was on a ship. Though since it wasn't something emanating from closeby, she could only assume the ship was massive.
She was not equipped to escape, so she wanted to gather information. Best way to do so, was to make some noise. Someone was guaranteed to show up, however after several minutes there was nothing.
Was the door not guarded. Her gaze finally hovered over towards the door and she could only blink. The little light by the door was green, meaning the door wasn't even locked. Her eyes then moved towards the girls who seemed to move a bit.
On the hip of Vaylin however was a hilt, a lightsaber hilt which had the ability to extend into that of a hilt. Could this person be the owner of this room? She looked towards Riané, she also had a lightsaber hilt on her belt hip.
The two of them seemed to be wearing similar outfits too, ones she didn't recognize. These outfits consisted of mainly black trousers, white boots and white tunic with silver and black trim.
They didn't look like Imperial Inquisitors, and even if they were, why were they all on a bed? That's when her eyes narrowed on a pair of boxers that was spotted with her peripheral vision. They looked clean, yet they weren't for girls. She pulled herself across the bed and reached off the side, picking it up with two fingers and examining it.
She then proceeded to toss it in the general direction of the hamper. Missing, but not bothering to get up and drop it in. "This is a boy's room for sure," she huffed slightly and slowly flung her feet over the side of the bed. She wiggled her toes weakly, she wasn't getting much of a response. Her body seemed really stiff from whatever happened.
That's when her eyes narrowed on a paper calendar which was on the nearby desk which was covered in unused and still boxed art supplies. What she was seeing almost made her pale.
Year 968 After the Ruusan Reformation, this meant it was around her birth year. How was she possibly here? Could it just be some old Calendar? Yeah, that had to be it.
The door to the room slid open and her head shot to the side, her eyes locking on a young man standing before her. It was Valad who casually entered, the door slid closed behind him without him commanding it physically to do so.
"So you're awake," Valad observed as he looked her over for a few moments.
"Why am I here?" Rinetta blurted out, gripping the sheets of the bed in both of her hands. Glaring at him as if she would bite his head off should he not give her an answer.
Valad ignored the question and answered with one of his own. "Mind if I call you Rin?"
"My name is Rinetta," She said with a dull tone as she found he didn't answer her question. She was in no place to be asking questions.
"Riné then?" Valad asked another question about how to address her, keeping a completely straight face. It was as if he had completely ignored what she had said.
"Rinetta," The Princess would repeat with a dull tone once again, beginning to catch on to his little game he was playing. He was teasing her it seemed, and he was having fun doing it. It was written all over his eyes.
"Let's go with Ri-Ri then?" Valad suggested as he walked over to the bookcase and leaned against it. Looking her over still as she glared even more.
Rinetta would slowly let out a sigh, closing her eyes and flopping back onto the bed. If she could just fall asleep and wake up again in her own bed. This started to feel like a nightmare. "Fine, you can call me PRINCESS Rin." She tagged her title onto her name.
"Okay, Rin." Valad's lips finally curled into a bright smile hearing her speak, giving him 'permission' to call her 'Rin' at his own leisure.
She rolled onto her side with a groan of annoyance, she stared at him as she laid there on the bed. The gaze seemed to be more like 'This is my bed now, you get the couch.' His own response seemed to be like, 'there is no couch so I'm still sleeping on the bed.'
"I'm in need of a strategist and partner, one that I can agree with, when it comes to military and civil matters."
Hearing this she raised a brow slightly. She was brought here to be an advisor? She was what, fifteen years old? She didn't seem all that impressed, but there was a strange warmth in her mind. It was as if something had changed, but she couldn't quite tell what it was.
At least this answered the reason of why she was here. The more she looked at him, the more she could tell he was around her age. Maybe there was more to the whole, I chose you to be my advisor bit? "And what makes you think I will do this for you...?"
Valad simply smiled at her with his head cocking to the side lightly. "Because you have nowhere to go back to." Clearly he was referring to the Calendar, at least that is what she thought. He was rather unsure if this was entirely of legend's design, but so far everything seemed to follow that route. If her homeworld of Hynestia existed, it was somewhere near the Corellia System.
Those words made her flinch, her eyes were clearly shook. Nowhere to go back to? "What do you mean by that?" Her tone went dark and she immediately went to push herself off the bed. Acting tough she stood only a meter away from him. Her posture made her about an inch or two taller than she normally ways.
However she quickly found herself floating, she slowly looked around, it felt as if she was in a zero gravity environment. Her eyes narrowed on him, Valad was using the force with an open palm held out towards her.
"Will you serve me?" Valad asked as he brought her face close to his own, his eyes staring into her hazel hues. He didn't place pressure on her, he simply showed what he was capable of without causing harm.
Blinking a few times at how easily he moved her through the air. She rather liked the feeling of flying like this, though it made her innards feel rather uneasy due to the sudden motion.
"What did you mean... By not having anywhere to go back to?"
"You haven't been born yet," Valad said with a playful snicker.
That made sense, with the conveniently placed Calendar, but how could he be telling the truth? From her perspective, Time Travel wasn't a thing. And the tales of time travel only really involved going forward in time.
Had she really been brought to the past, before the fall of the Republic? Part of her was happy about that, she didn't have to deal with the Sith run Galactic Empire. At least not yet.
She slowly nodded to him, her eyes gazing passed his head and towards the books behind his head. They all had interesting titles, most of which she had never read before, nor even heard of. They were all lore books purchased from the system. They were mainly teaching material, as well as material for insights.
Smiling lightly, "My private collection is open to you. Welcome to the Imperious. My name is Vlad, it's a pleasure to meet you, Rin Gan." He said with her shortened name, gently giving her cheek a touch before letting her lower to her feet.
"Let's get you something to eat, shall we?" He gestured for her to follow him. He didn't bother waiting for her to put her shoes back on, but it seemed she didn't bother putting them on either.
Following him out of the room, the two made their way down the corridors towards the mess hall. Many of the trainees and those whom wished to join his cause rather than remain on New Aquilae, eyed the new presence.
Some of them verbally or mentally questioning how many girls are now following him around this time. It seemed like he already had Vaylin, Riané and a golden female Zabrak named Maddie.
Most didn't see Fay as a potential follower for him though, not in the same sense as the other ones however. Fay seemed to be more so a precision instrument, advisor and teacher. Even though she had left the order, she seemed to be busy helping him from the shadows.
Once they took over this planet of Tulpaa, she had gone down to the planet to help with relief and humanitarian missions. The world had been ravaged by slavery for several millennia, it was only natural for someone guided b the force to help those in need.
As they strolled through the corridors of the vessel, her eyes gazed over the people who were walking around. They wore the same standard outfit as the girls in the bedroom. Though when she saw his attire, he was wearing black everything with gold-silver trim.
He was a man of status it seemed, but his material was made of the same quality stuff as the others. The only difference was the colors.
As they walked down the halls, Rin noticed a Golden Zabrak with shining eyes walking towards them.
"So the sleepy head Princess finally woke up?" Maddie beamed, folding her hands behind her back. She was rather comfortable in her new clothes. She no longer had to wear that absurd outfit supplied by her now late master.
Rin bit her lip slightly looking at the girl, it kind of reminded her of the golden eyed inquisitors due to their dark side corruption. Her eyes the gazed over towards her hip to see if she had a weapon and noticed there wasn't a saber nor a gun.
Maddie grinned seeing this, "He cut mine in half." She pointed towards Valad who was walking shamelessly with the two girls at his side. He didn't seem to be bothered much by her informing that he had 'disarmed' her.
All three of their stomachs growled and gurgled as they walked. Which made mainly Valad and Rin flush at the face. Valad couldn't remember the last time he was hungry enough for his stomach to make so much noise in public. Especially with so many people transfersing near him.
"So we're all going to the mess, sounds like a great idea." Maddie laughed quietly, a hand over her stomach, rather happy she was feeling fabric rather than her bear skin.
On top of that, since it wasn't tropical on board, it would be rather cold with the lack of body cover. Letting out a sigh she looked at the doors which grew closer to them as they came towards the mess hall. 'Fooooood' was the only thing on her mind now.
Skipping ahead of them, Maddie slipped through the double doors before they could open all the way. "Heeeey~" Valad called out watching as she vanished amongst the crowds of people getting food onto their trays.
Of course all of the food which was here, was all redressed rations with various different flavors. It was generally some special rations he had bought from the system. He even had vending machines which could use ration chips to get snacks and drinks from.
Rin couldn't but feel empty for different reasons. While yes she was hungry, she had learned that she had no home, no family to go back to. While it made for an adventure of a lifetime, it also meant that she would not be able to go back to her previous life.
It was as if she had been spirited away.
She was finding herself missing her mother...
This room, it looked familiar, like the inside of a Star Destroyer or an Imperial Citadel.
