7 First Objective!

After witnessing the horrifying fact displayed by the TV, the atmosphere inside the teacher's office became tensed. Each person was deep in their own thought and worry. Saya was biting her own lips, the sudden bad premonition about her family circumstance crept inside her, and she's not the only one who harbor such a thought.

"How come this be? When I checked the internet this morning it just all about business..." Kohta grasped the chair's head with obnoxious appearance.

"This has spread into the whole world only in a few hours?" Rei retreated, her eyes widened then she grasped Takashi's sleeve, "It's not gonna last long, right? Thing will get better soon, right?"

Takashi could only stare at his own feet, unable to give out a comfortable response toward the brown haired woman. As someone who had watched and played this kind of flick, he knew thing will just get worst by later.

Saya set her eyes toward Rei, she crossed her arms, "Don't be an idiot..."

"Eh?" Rei absentmindedly faced her.

"You don't have to say it like that!" Takashi snapped his head upward and glared at the pinkish hair woman.

Saya felt a little scare by his sudden spat but she steeled herself, "Wake up! This is not just epidemics, but pandemics! Such a thing will not only last for a few month, but years, years! And the casualties could be millions of life!"

"Pandemics? You mean like the black death?" Shizuka frowned.

"Yes, it precisely like the black death..." Saya nodded.

The dark history of humanity, known with the name of the Plague, one of the most devastating pandemics that cost more than hundred millions of lives. It began in 1347 and ended in 1351. There are many theories how it was ended, one of them stated because the pandemics had cost so many lives thus no one left to be infected.

"But this is... different..." Saya held her glasses, "a virus could only survive several hours in the air and perhaps days in any surface, based on temperature and climate. But Them... they walked around, spreading the virus through one bite to another, they had the ability to infect people in different area as long as they moved onto there or bite one of those people.

It's impossible to assume how this pandemics could be ended, the military clearly busy on securing important personage, then provide a secure quarantine for the civilian, only after that, they will start clearing the undead, but perhaps when that time comes, it already has been too late."

The room devoid from any noise as Saya finished her speech, one could hear a droplet of one bead water from the sink.

"This is not changing our plan... we still going to check on our family, starting from the closest one..." Takashi dropped down his worries, this is not the time for waiting and brooding, they needed to get out from here before the situation around the school is getting dangerous.

Everyone glanced to each other, and they looked at him and nodded their head.

As Takashi about to continue his speech, a cold voice belong to a man resounded from beside him,

"Are you a moron?"

The air as if froze in the moment, all eyes went to the side and captured the image of blue-haired man with glasses attached to his eyes, sitting on the top of desk with crossed arms and eyes closed.

Takashi expression lagged, with cold sweat drip from his temple, he swallowed his throat and said: "Hayate-senpai, what do you mean?"

"The TV specifically told us civilian to stay inside our home or building, yet you want to wander around in a messy condition like this, that's why I ask, are you a moron?" Fujimura said without opening his eyes. his voice is lacked of any emotion.

Takashi frowned, goosebumps filled his chest, clutching his hand into a fist, he faced the boy older than him, "I know what they had been said, I heard it clearly, but we are all worried about our family, thus I think it's the best for us to just go..."

"That's it? Just because of sentiment reason you want to endanger everyone else life?" Fujimura opened his eyes slightly and glanced to the black-haired boy.

"This place also has been swarmed by them, it's no longer provide us a safe sanctuary..." Takashi's heart skipped a beat the moment Fujimura cold gaze swept his body.

"It is swarmed, but not crumbled..." Fujimura closed his eyes once again, "take a look at this room for example, the door still perfectly fine, the window still intact, the water is running, there is a bathroom, I bet there are plenty room that is still in fine condition, not to mention the school's vast territory, so tell me... why we must abandoned such fortress?"

"It is indeed their quantity is still too many and bear a threat for us, but so long we careful and silent, I believe we can sweep clean most of them from the building..."

"And we don't have to be in rush, perhaps we can start by killing the one in this floor then do the second floor by tomorrow, and so on..."

"The most important thing is don't act on your own accord, don't separate from the group, and don't try to act as a hero... so long you keep that in mind, you will be fine..."

All mouth coagulated, and sound sank in silent. Fujimura's words had some right in them, with the school vast coverage area, so long they can eradicate those monster out from here and barricade the gates, they could have a big territory all for themselves.

It had a lot of room to move, many door that can led to exit, and certainly supply.

"And if the situation here is ever get bad, then we can use the minibus to escape..." Fujimura added with a shrug on his shoulder.

Saya as if remembered something, she held her glass and said: "Senpai, you mention before so long we careful and silent, is that mean you had discovered their blind weakness?"

The group was startled, they set their gaze to Saya then back to Fujimura, the blue haired senior opened his eyes and glanced at Saya, "What do you think I had been doing aside from killing them while I paved my way?"

It's true, as he walked on the floor, he had conducted many experiment to test the monsters capability and weakness. Albeit the absence of pain and stamina made them a force that needed to be reckoned, including the increased stimulation of their hearing and smelling sense. But they unfortunately was blind, while it's hard to avoid their detection if there are only one or two, but a group of undead will have their nose filled with their own scent, thus a person may escape their clutch so long they stayed quiet.

This advantage could also be done to create a decoy and distraction for them, Fujimura had tested it as he patted the wall with his iron sword and he trod lightly to the side. The result was four out of seven of them followed the sound and ignored him, but the other three as if noticed his appearance thus he slaughtered them nevertheless.

Mentioning about his iron sword he soon wrinkled his eyebrows, because no one within these people had actually asked him about it, not even Saeko. He had placed his sword on the table but its presence as if invisible to this people.

Could it be that they really can't see it? Or they are too hesitant to ask him about it?

Fujimura decided to let off the issue for a while as there more important matter at stake.

Takashi frowned then he peeked at Rei's expresion, the reason why he wanted to go out from the school aside from worrying about his mother, was actually to relieve Rei. He knew how much she was under the pressure of her parent welfare, especially her father since he is part of law enforcement and certainly handling this situation in the front line. He didn't want to see the despair and hopeless expression once more on her face, it was enough he saw it that one time.

"I reject..." Takashi mumbled as he clenched his hand, gaining many attention from the curious eyes, including the fierce looked Fujimura. He lifted his chin and stared straight at Fujimura's crimson eyes, "I reject the idea of staying here..."

A gasp had been rung in the vicinity of the room, they could sense a stiff thread between Takeshi and Fujimura, while the younger one's donned the brave mask, the older one instead rather stiff but his eyes lit with dangerous light.

No one spoke after the sequence, not to mention the dull Shizuka, even Saeko kept her mouth shut as she stood beside Fujimura.

"Senpai, hadn't you worry about your family?" Takashi forced a smile.

"My father and brother is out of city, my sister is on different country, my mother probably is safe with her boss, even I worry again, they are too far for me to reach, also what's the point..." he chuckled, "with such outbreak like this, only 50% chance of humanity could survive, the rest... perhaps already dead."

Rei immediately stiffened, she raised her hand and pasted her finger to her own lips. Takashi looked at Rei worry expression, he clenched his hands and fiercely stared at Fujimura, "You don't know that! You don't know the capability of human! You don't know that things not just base on number!"

"Really?" Fujimura shrugged, "Do tell me... after you witness the outbreak occurrence in the school, how many students or teacher that actually made out alive?"

"..." Takashi declined his head and stared at the floor, no matter how hard he tried to deny it, it was indeed a low probability for any people to survive the school's outbreak. Not just caused by the undead, but also dead by the chaos that happened. If the situation inside the school already like this, what are the odds for the same thing happened at the outside?

"Nevertheless, we shouldn't give up on hope... hope that our relative is still alive somewhere, waiting for our return and reunite, hope that the government can find a way to solve this, hope that situation will get back to normal..." Takashi set straight his eyes at Fujimura.

"..." the older boy didn't respond at his junior statement, merely bore his eyes at his own thigh then he faced Saeko who stood beside him.

The dark purple haired woman just faintly smiled at him, the corner of natural lips crooked upward, revealing the genuine soothing expression for the Fujimura eyes to feast.

He had been surrounded by many eyes that held an expectation, the wish for his mind to change.

"Fine..." after some times, Fujimura let out a sigh, he jumped down from the desk, "lead the way then..."

Everyone's eyes began to lit in excitement, Takashi exhale a mouthful of breath, and Saeko's smile turned more gentle.

Naturally, it wasn't because Takashi's words that managed to affect Fujimura's intention, but as he closed his eyes while thinking, a strange message appeared within his vision.

"Alert! Alert!"

"First main objective received!"

"Escape from the school!"

"Together with the main cast of escape from Fujimi High school!"
