37 Why do you care?

"Who were those three guys?"

She opened her mouth to say something and closed it again. Then she pulled her hand away from me and asked me with a tinge of anger in her eyes, "Why do you care?" I intended to ask her what did she mean by that but she used her speed and went inside the hall again.

I followed her behind, but she was talking with some Vampires when I saw her again. Then she talked with Jacob and she smiled often, looks like he cracked some jokes. Only her appearance has changed, the aura around her has become special but she is still the same girl.

When I was thinking about how to talk to her again, I saw her gaze on me. She is really angry and she looking deep into me. I starting to realise how much I missed her. She is angry, so much angry, I can see that.

After some staring contest then and now, the party ended smoothly. I stayed next to Lord Lucian because she might meet him before she leaves. I don't know what's the cause for her anger but I have to deal with it.

Like I thought, she came with Lord Valdimir and some other Vampires. My gaze was on her, they all commented about the party. Then Lord Lucian introduced me to them and said, "..... He was once, Asuna's team captain. They were really close and he thought her many things".

I nodded at him, Lord Valdimir extended his hand and I took it. We did a handshake and his eyes changed wild but he said, "Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter back then, Mr. Brookeswill". I smiled a bit and said, "It was my honour, Sir". He smiled and patted my shoulder.

We both chatted for a while, he asked about how she was during that time. I told him how brave, how wild and how beautiful she was. He gave me some glares inbetween but I didn't mind it much. She has got an awesome dad now. She is part of a royal family and she doesn't feel out of place, not even a bit. That's something to be proud off.

Then they left and I couldn't talk to her again except the staring contest. Her eyes and lips were tempting so much and I want her back. I want the girl who was in my arms and the one who blushed whenever I say something. I really want her back.

After we left the party and we boarded the car, I was silent. I'm hungry and I need blood. His scent was something, I really wanted to taste his blood but I shouldn't! I'm going back with dad while Uncle Vivin is in the driver seat. I stared outside the window, the image of that man flashed in my mind.

I really don't understand, why I'm so captivated by him still now. Maybe because the memory of that night which I never knew I had rushed to me the instant I met his gaze. That guy, he pulled me into his room and he kissed me and he touched me.

I had no idea these things happened between us. The alcohol must have hid it from my consciousness and my powers have now gained more access to my brain. But he said, he thought of me as his little sister just because I confessed to him.

What did he thought of me as? I'm never ever going back to him. But..... his touch on my wrist, it still burns. "Is everything alright, dear?" Daddy patted my head softly as he looked at me with worried expression.

Thank God! I have learned to block my emotions from his abilities. I smiled forcefully and said, "Nothing Dad, a little tired". He didn't ask anything further, he removed his coat and unbuttoned the cufflink in his right hand. He then folded the full hand shirt as he gave me his wrist.

I don't know, how to feel when he does things like this. I sunk my teeth into his wrist, as his blood rushed into my system. I forgot how powerful and healthy his blood is. I indulged myself in the blood in front of me as I fell asleep I guess.

When I woke up the next day, I was asleep in my room in my shorts and tshirt. Maid Mary must have changed my clothes. I went out of the room and had breakfast with my three familiars. They were as lively as ever. I tried to talk to Haru but he brushed me off saying, it's fine.

But he is not a bit fine in any way. Then we went to training grounds, I sparred with my brothers. I said while taking deep breath, "I think I need a decade to catch up with you guys".

"I really doubt it, sweetheart", Bezek's voice was heard from my side. I shrugged my shoulders at his comment. He and Haru have been fighting with swords intensely. They also heal fast as they were supernatural beings. Haru cut his right shoulder and said, "Concentrate here!"

Bezek shouted in pain, "Ouch! Oh Man! Be true to yourself. Her movements were graceful and on top notch". I smiled at them and continued with Raphael. Brother Charles were giving training to some soldiers and he corrected my moves inbetween.

After the training, I spent some time with Rachael and the little one in her tummy. Then Brother Charles called me for assigning me and my team on a mission. We went off to north, his province to help him.

A week went by since the party, but my heart still had that urge to meet him. I twisted and turned in my room in the early morning.
