23 Arachne
PS. Next week we return to Rigel and see what has become of the motherland! Stay tuned comrades!
PSS. It has come to my knowledge that many western historians and media channels have always downplayed the role of the Red Army in WW2. So disregarding the political standpoints, those who believe that it was the Red army that contributed the most in defeating Hitler in WW2 please leave an F for the fallen heroes in the comment section. Thank you all!

The outer regions of the forest where Add currently was, usually was home to monster and only few magical beasts of the Knight class. Stronger magical beasts usually did n venture out in this regions and stayed within the deeper parts of the forest. This was because, the density of mana grew higher as one went deeper into the forest, no one know why this was so, but everyone agreed that the great forest of Waldestien was able to house such dangerous and absurdly strong beasts because it's abnormally high availability of mana. For magical beasts growing stronger was similar to how human warriors and mages grew stronger. They absorbed mana and store it in heir cores, using it to strengthen their bodies and increase their abilities. Although the creatures could absorb mana from the environment directly, just like taking in oxygen while breathing, There also were certain naturally occurring things which stored large amounts of mana within them such as certain crystals and rare plants and herbs. But, there was an even simpler and easier way. The magical beasts just had to kill other magical beasts and devour them, especially their cores which were filled with mana. As such, as one went deeper into the forest the magical beasts grew stronger and more deadly, as everyone wanted to devour everyone else.
The Arachne was a strong creature which should not appear in these outer regions; however she had her own troubles and was forced to leave her old home and come out here. Fortunately, she had found a large group of Green bellied huntsman spiders and became their 'queen', thanks to her racial trait which allowed her to command other spiders that were weaker than her in strength. With their help, she had taken control of a large area of the forest, which was her own domain now, countless beats and magical beasts had already died by her hands, and she was slowly getting stronger, waiting for the day when she would be able to go back deeper into the forest again. However, today as she was resting atop the largest tee in the area, her followers sent her a message that there was a new prey but they were unable to deal with it and many of them had died. Irritated, she went to see just what had been causing trouble to her otherwise 'efficient' followers. She found that a lone human had ventured into her domain. It was a young boy, who looked quite pleasing to the eyes and was apparently quite strong to be able to survive the attacks of her minions. Her instincts influenced her and she made an offer to the human, to become her mate. However, the human looked at her with a dull expression and shook his head.
"I appreciate your feelings, but I am not interested in any romantic relations at this time. However, we can be friends if you want"
With the classic way of friend zoning people, he rejected her. She was a beauty alright, but he knew very well what happened to the men who became the mates of an Arachne. Their final fate was to be eaten up by the Arachne; in more than one sense of the word.
"Thee dareth to rejecteth this queen?"
(You dare to reject this queen?)
The Arachne who called herself a queen with pride, felt really offended on hearing that reply, she did not know why, but she just felt like it. Here expression immediately became frosty.
"Humph! Foolish human! This queen tooketh a plaited to thee, yet thee reject'd h'r gentle off'r! well then just becometh food f'r mine own kin!"
(Humph! Foolish human! This queen took a fancy to you, yet you rejected her noble offer! Well then just become food for my kin!)
As if guided by her will, the spiders immediately resumed their attack. But Add was also ready; he threw a bunch of incendiary grenades which lit dozens of spiders on fire, and retreated, since they were everywhere, he knew that it would not be so easy to get out of this situation. However, the spiders were only a minor problem. The real threat was the King class Arachne standing behind them, he could deal with Knight class magical beasts, but going against a king class head on like this was probably not a good idea for now. The spiders shrieked in pain, as they were burnt but more and more still rushed towards him. The Arachne just stood behind waiting for her minions to deal with Add. She did not have much compassion for the spiders, they followed her and obeyed her out of their instincts, and since there were thousands of them, with more being born every day, the deaths of a few hundred of them was not much of a loss at all. However, she quickly realized that the human male before her was not that simple. Even though he was being besieged by thousands of spiders, he was still able to defend himself and the spiders had not been able to hurt him at all. She did not know what strange sorcery the human was using, his strange attacks, killed dozens of her spiders, and not allowed them to approach him.
"I've had enough… God damned bugs, you kill one and there's ten more to take its place…"
Mean while Add who was being besieged from all sides by the spiders, was finally running out of patience. The spiders just kept coming no matter how many he shot or burned to death. However, he did manage to clear a path of retreat gradually. As he was slowly getting away from her grasp, the Arachne frowned. He devoted followers were unable to take care of a single human, and were dying by the hundreds while the human was escaping. Finally, she had enough. 'These spiders are just insects in the end, looks like I was expecting too highly of them.' She chose to act herself. She ordered a large group of spiders to swarm before her, becoming a meat shield, and then rushed towards Add, her speed quite high for her size. The later who was almost out of the encirclement of the spiders, felt really annoyed. A bomb responded her aggression and blew up right in the wall of spiders, obliterating it and causing damage to the Arachne as well. Although she was largely unscathed by the explosion thanks to her innate physical defence, and the spiders taking the brunt of the force, the shockwave and heat still managed to injure her slightly and this made her even more angry. Although using such powerful bombs also put Add at some risk of being caught up in the explosions, he had little choice, now that the Arachne was actively engaging him.
"Thee dareth act wantonly bef're this queen? Valorous, v'ry valorous, anon seeth how this queen shall amerce thee!"
(You dare act wantonly before this queen? Good, very good, now see how this queen will punish you!)
But before she could retaliate, two more bombs were hurtling towards her, by now she had seen enough of these small but deadly objects and was forced to retreat as the explosions killed even more spiders. Taking this opportunity, Add increased his distance from the swarm of spiders and continued using these powerful bombs, to clear any spiders in pursuit.
"This human! What s'rc'ry ist he using!? I feeleth nay charm from him, but then. What in the w'rld is that human doing?"
(This human! What sorcery is he using!? I feel no magic from him, but then....what in the world is that human doing?)
The Arachne was really shocked. The human before her was so frail and so vulnerable, and she did not sense a shred of mana from him, yet he had such devastating means at his disposal that he could actually push back a full assault from so many spiders, and even she herself had been forced back! Her spider followers had also taken huge damage, and hundreds had been killed by now. She realised that the human was not at all the easy target she was thinking it to be, instead he was a formidable opponent, and a very dangerous one at that. She had to make a choice, whether to keep chasing him and risk the lives of more of her followers and herself, or to give up her pride and retreat back into her lair. While she was torn between the two, a shrill sound reached her ears.
*Hiss*
At once, her expression turned gloomy and all the spiders around her became erratic, they began surrounding her, and shrieking towards the trees from where the sound was coming from. Even the spiders that were still following Add stopped and then hurriedly returned to the Arachne's side. Add who was hundreds of metres away from the Arachne by now, found this awfully suspicious and stopped in his tracks. He kept his vigilance to the maximum as he saw the horde of spiders retreating hurriedly. Back at where the Arachne was, hundreds of spiders were gathering all around her, as she looked at her new foe with a tensed gaze. The new arrival flicked its tongue in the air, as its greenish yellow eyes stared at the Arachne like a hungry wolf looking at a juicy piece of meat. Slowly, from within the thickets of trees, a large creature slithered out.
It was a giant snake monster, called the Laika Stone Serpent. This was also a King Class monster. Its body was over 15 metres long with a diameter of over 1 metre. Its head could easily swallow a large cow whole in one gulp. Its boy was covered in reddish brown scales and two lines of spine like scales also ran across the length of its body all the way from the base of its head to the tip of its tail. This serpent was not poisonous; it killed by crushing and its prey to death by using its powerful muscular body. The mouth was filled with hundreds of nail like teeth which were curved inwards. The name was given due to its tough scales which were very hard and it was said that armour made from these scales was able to withstand attacks from rank 9 warriors. It was a tough and fearsome predator, and currently a solid threat to the Arachne.
However, another king class monster appearing at the outer regions was quite a surprise and it seemed that the Arachne was unlucky, first a strange human caused so many losses to her followers, and now such an enemy had appeared. What she did not know was that the serpent had been wandering some distance away and would have passed by her domain without any problems, but it was attracted by the explosions which Add continuously caused. Who knew what she would have felt if she knew this. Although both the Arachne and the Laika Stone Serpent were classified as King class magical beasts, but that was just a term humans used in a general sense. In reality, although the Serpent was not sentient like the Arachne, it was quite a lot stronger than her and she knew this as well. The serpent dwarfed her in size, her body was only around half of its in length, and the mana she possessed was also slightly less compared to it. The situation was dire.
The large snake hissed and the rows of its teeth peeked out of its mouth as it gazed at the Arachne. Its eyes clearly showed its intention of wanting to kill. She signalled her fellow spiders to take and aggressive stance and she raised her front legs, showing the sharp pike like feet as a threat display. Unfortunately, the snake was not intimidated by this and instead chose to attack. Its huge body moved very fast as it tried to ram into her. The Green Bellied Huntsman spiders in its way were crushed into paste, and the ones that tried to bite it, were unable to even tickle its tough scales; the gap between an A rank monster and a King class magical beast was just too great. They also used their silk in order to trap and slow down the serpent, but the thing just bulldozed its way through them tearing the webs and crushing the spiders into mush, those strong webs were nothing but mere threads of cotton before the serpent's strength.
When the serpent reached near, the Arachne tried to attack using her legs, but her strong legs could only put some scratches in its tough and smooth scales. The serpent immediately began coiling around her, and its mouth tried to bite her frail Elven upper body. For some time she was able to defend herself but had to constantly retreat under its attacks, but then the serpent found an opening and tackled her using its larger mass. Unable to balance the force of the impact, her legs buckled and the two fell to the ground in a pile of tussling beasts, the snake trying to bite, and the Arachne defending with her front legs. The odds were completely against the Arachne now; the serpent had managed to coil around her body and was crushing her with her amounts of force. Since her lower body was that of a spider, and it was quite large compared to the Elven body, it was at a greater disadvantage. As the hold of the serpent grew stronger, her body was being crushed, and cracks began appearing in her carapace. The spiders were helpless, they were trying everything they could do, but unable to save their queen. Finally, one of her spider legs was unable to bear the force and snapped in half from a joint. She screamed in agony as bluish blood oozed from the stub of her leg. The serpent took advantage of her distraction and bit onto one of her sharp front legs and tore it off with a jerk. The horrendous pain assaulted the Arachne; her body was losing strength and being crushed, her wounds bleeding badly. Her strength was rapidly leaving her and everything seemed hopeless. The serpent, assured of its victory raised its large head and bent its body in an S shape, preparing to bite her un protected upper body, as its wide mouth opened o devour her, despair and unwillingness filled the Arachne's mind.
"Is this the endeth? is this queen going to p'rish h're this day? Nay! This queen does not accepteth this! This queen has't not proven herself yet! She cannot perish h're, not liketh this!"
(Is this the end? Is this queen going to perish here today? No! This queen does not accept this! I have not proven myself yet! I cannot die here, not like this!)
But no matter how unwilling she was, no matter how much she struggled, she was unable to free herself from the grasp of the coiling serpent or defend herself. The serpent was not going to have any mercy on her either. As its mouth came closer and closer, the queen of the spiders lost all will to resist, the crushing force and pain and the reality of her situation had broken all her resistance and she closed her eyes thinking, "Just end it already". But then right at the last moment...
"Sigh… I am too bloody soft-hearted…"
A few hundred metres from where the two monsters were tussling, our protagonist who had been watching the whole battle happen through a rifle scope, sighed as he pulled the trigger of his rifle. The bullet sped away at mach 4 and bored its way into the target. This was not the TSAR-77E assault rifle though, but rather it was a much powerful beast. Over 2 metres long and with a prominent scope, this was clearly a sniper rifle.

The TAR-88K was a sniper rifle belonging to the same era as that of the TSAR-77E. It operated on the same principle, but was a lot stronger and accurate. Its bullets were of the armour piercing discarding sabot (APDS) type which gave them more lethality, and much better ability to penetrate armour. It had a distinct flat and rectangular muzzle break. The only negative to his weapon was its rate of fire, which like all sniper rifles was slow. The bullet hit its target, which was not the Arachne; rather its target was the Serpent that was trying to eat her. The serpent felt a sharp pain assault it, and was forced to stop its eating plan. More bullets hit it, and although they barely put a scratch on its scales, they did annoy it a lot, just like a pesky mosquito biting a human. It hissed angrily and looked around to see what was attacking it, and by the time it had spotted Add, a few tens of bullets had hit it. Enraged, it released the Arachne and rushed towards Add.
"Its skin is really thick huh…"
He had tried to hit its head, but even the bullets of the TAR were unable to penetrate its thick scales. It was not a King Class monster just for show. Add, even with all has stats and skills was not an opponent of this creature, but who said that he had to play fair? He dropped the rifle and took out an Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) launcher and fired a missile. This was a futuristic missile which once fired, locked on to its target using a built-in laser. The serpent felt threatened as it watched the strange thing coming towards it, its intuition was warning it, and it tried to dodge the missile by moving in a zigzag manner. However, this was a missile designed to defeat the most advanced deterrence systems of its time, how could this simple manoeuvres of the serpent trick it?
*BOOM*
The missile hit it as expected and with a loud bang, the entire bulk of the serpent was thrown backwards, it was not enough to kill it though, it only wounded it. Before the serpent had time to steady itself, another missile rammed into it, and then another one and another one. Add launched a total of 15 missiles, each hitting its mark. After the smoke and dust cleared, the serpent could be seen writhing and convulsing in agony, on its body there were many wounds. They were not that fatal alone, but the shockwaves created by the many explosions had damaged the serpent's internal organs which were not as tough as its scales.
"Still not dead… That was half a million CP for each missile… King Class monsters are really hard to kill…"
7.5 million CP to kill a single monster was really a bad bargain for him. He lamented as he watched on with caution, the movements of the snake gradually slowed down, and finally it stopped moving completely and succumbed to its injuries. Only when the system notification arrived that the serpent had been killed, did he relax. He then made his way towards the Arachne who was unable to move due to her injuries. She had witnessed everything with her own eyes and was terrified of the human before her. She could not understand, the human clearly used no mana, there was no a single trace of it, yet only magic could be the explanation for what she had seen. She felt really stupid for trying to capture this human. If he wanted, he could have easily annihilated her without her being able to resist. As Add walked up to her, the surviving spiders wanted to attack him, but the Arachne stopped them, lest they anger him and cause the deaths of them all. He stopped a few feet away from her and looked at her with his chilling eyes; his expressionless face caused her to shiver on the inside. She gathered her pride and asked…
"What doth thee wanteth human?"
(What do you want human?)
"I don't think that you realise your present situation, so let me set it straight for you." He spoke coldly as he placed this rifle on her forehead. She had seen him using it to kill the spiders, and although she did not know what it was, what she did know was that it was a fearsome weapon. Add continued in a cold tone…
"Right now, I am the one who decides your fate. You and your spider buddies have been trying to kill me since a while back and because of that I am really tempted to blow off your head, and burn all of them to cinders and be done with it. The only thing that is stopping me from doing that turning you and your friends into dead bugs is the fact I see some use in keeping you alive; for now. Do you understand me?"
She glared at him hatefully and stayed silent. It was true that she was completely helpless now, badly wounded and in no shape to resist; completely at his mercy. This was the law of the jungle; the weak could only bow before the strong. When she had first seen this human she thought that he was the prey and she was the predator, but now the roles had completely reversed!
"I will take that as a yes then. You only have two choices now. First, pledge loyalty to me and become my subordinate and you can live. Second, refuse to submit and die. The choice is up to you, think over it carefully."
"Impossible! This queen shalt nev'r boweth bef're thee filthy human!"
(Impossible! This queen shall never bow before you filthy human!)
She roared in rage. How could a proud and mighty queen like her become the servant of a puny human? She really wanted to rip his throat out and feat on his blood t this moment, yet she was completely unable to. She had no strength left to even stand or defend herself, much less try and fight with him. The Arachne knew very well that although the human appeared weak and unremarkable, his mysterious methods that could kill the Laika Serpent without taking any major damage were not to be underestimated. She herself stood no chance if the same things were used against her. This was the main reason why Add had saved her, and to a certain extent he was reluctant to watch such a beautiful creature die so miserably.
"Really now? Is that your answer? Are you sure about that?"
He asked again, his detached tone and brimming killing intent really scared the Arachne. She felt that this human before her had no care for life, and killing was as simple as breathing for him. Even many other monsters and magical beasts she had seen, did not give her this feeling. Her bravado fell apart and her face became tensed.
"Come on, I don't have all day."
Realising that he was growing impatient and feeling the cold touch of death on her forehead, the Arachne was struggling within herself. She did not want to die, and she also did not want to become the servant of a human. But life was not easy and she could only choose one option.
"V'ry well! If 't be true yond's what fate wishes, then this queen shalt accepteth t! Human! This queen shall accepteth thy condition!"
(Very well! If that's what fate wishes, then this queen shall accept it! Human! This queen shall accept your condition!)
Add removed the gun from her head, and placed his hand on her forehead. He activated the [Contract] skill and a string of information related to the contract appeared in her mind. As soon as she accepted the contract, a bluish light covered the two of them. They felt a faint electric shock like feeling travelling across their bodies, and when it faded, the two of them felt a sense of spiritual connection with each other, signalling that the contract was complete. It was a feeling like they were connected by an invisible thread and could feel each other's presence clearly and sense each other's feelings to a little extent.
[Ding! Arachne has accepted the contract!]
[Ding! You have gained a contract! Contracts remaining : 4/5]
With this, he had gained a strong partner, a King class Magical Beast was a very strong force to have. Now that the contract was preventing her from harming him in any way, Add did not have to worry about her trying to kill him. He told her to control her spiders, she was bound by the contract but they weren't. He then shifted his attention to the system notifications.
[Ding! You have killed 690 x Green Bellied Huntsman spiders!]
[Ding! Received 34,500,000 Exp. and 34,500,000 CP]
[Ding! You have killed Laika Stone Serpent x 1]
[Ding! Received 12,500,000 Exp. and 12,500,000 CP]
[Ding! You have levelled up! x 11!]
[Current level : 411 || Experience Required : 2,176,068/4,181,344]
The Serpent gave him a whooping 12 and a half million Exp. in one go, but the spiders that gave 50,000 Exp. each were not bad either. He then turned to look at the Arachne and looking at her sorry and wounded appearance he sighed. Now that she was his serva- *cough* subordinate *cough*, he had to at least ensure that she was in top condition at all times. He observed her wounds for some time and then looked around for a suitable medicine in the system shop which could heal all her wounds. Till now he had been using the Advanced Healing Serum for dealing with any occasional wounds he had, however that was clearly not going to be enough for the Arachne. After some searching, he found a healing medicine called 'Regeneration Serum'. This was a light blue liquid with a sweet smell, and once ingested it could heal mortal wounds as well as re-grow lost limbs and body parts. But it was very very costly, at 1 million CP a bottle. He purchased 5 bottles of it, considering the Arachne's size and then also purchased some hyper saturated nutrient solutions. He had learnt from the system that all healing serums drew nutrients from the body to heal wounds. If the body was very weak, the healing serums would also lose most of their effect. So the body had to have all the necessary nutrients so that the serums could function properly.
"Drink this."
He walked over to and offered her the nutrient solution, but the Arachne was unmoving and did not respond, only looking at him hatefully. Add frowned and his expression hardened at her blatant disregard of his words.
"Either you drink this yourself or I swear I am going to shove a dozen bottles of this down your throat myself. Choose." He threatened.
"You…."
"I sincerely suggest that you do not test my patience…"
The Arachne was speechless, she felt so angry and hateful towards him, but looking at his expression she understood that he really would do what he said. Reluctantly she took the bottle from Add and began inspecting it. The glass bottle had a slightly viscous liquid which was milky white in colour, the amount was not a lot, just 200 ml, as stated by the system. She tried to smell it but the smell was faint and did not resemble anything she had known before. She turned to look at Add whose face was as deadpan as ever, waiting for her to drink it. She had no other choice but to brace herself and drink it, however the moment she took a gulp her expression scrunched up, the liquid seemed to be tasteless ye at the same time had a strange taste as well, on that her taste buds could not recognise. With some difficulty she swallowed the mouthful and then shouted at Add…
"What is this tasteless thing!? What has't thee madeth this queen drinketh filthy human!?"
(What is this tasteless thing!? What have you made this queen drink filthy human!?)
As usual he ignored her words, and stood there silently. Left with no other choice she forcefully drank the contents of the bottle and then threw it away. Once she had drunk it, Add passed her another 4 and had her drink all of them as well. By the 5th bottle, the Arachne was wondering whether the human was feeding her poison or simply torturing her. When she had drunk all of those, he gave her the Regeneration Serum, and had her drink all 5 of them as well. However, much to the Arachne's surprise, the liquid in these bottles was rather sweet and fragrant and she even had a slight desire to drink more. After drinking all those serums, the Arachne suddenly felt warmth spreading through her entire body. At first she felt threatened and was preparing to have a life or death battle with Add, but soon she was greatly surprised. He many wounds began closing at a visible rate, and the pain was vanishing as well. The many cracks in her carapace were also closing and what shocked here even more, was that her two legs which had be torn by the snake, had also began growing back! She watched in disbelief as within minutes all her wounds were healed, and she was feeling very healthy and full of energy.
(Human what miraculous medicine did you give this queen? This queen has never seen such medicine before, is it some speciality of you humans?)
"You do not need to know that."
Add said flatly. Internally he was also appreciating the Regeneration Serum, it worked faster than he had expected. However, the price still felt a lot, although he himself had a regeneration skill, if he could find a way to produce these serums by himself, then that would be very advantageous to the Red Army. Putting those thoughts aside, he continued…
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Adolf Kaiser Weismann, Marshal of the Soviet Union, and acting General of the Red Army. You shall refer to me as Add, unless I say otherwise. Do you understand?"

The Arachne was unable to understand over half of the words he said, she only really understood his name. Still, she nodded lightly not wanting to bicker with this strange human. The hate for Add in her heart had largely diminished by now, since he healed her wounds and now that she thought properly about it, he had actually saved her life. And given that she had tied to capture him earlier and her spiders had tried to kill him, it was already very generous of him to spare her. If not for the fact that he had forced her to form a contract with him, she would have considered making him her friend!
"Well then, you should introduce yourself as well."
At his urging, she hesitated for a while, she was a proud Arachne and liked to refer to herself as the queen. Finally she gave in and spoke lightly,
(Sylvia, that is this queen's name.)
"Well then Sylvia, I will cut to the chase. Your main job will be to help me defeat my enemies and protect me at all times. You cannot reveal anything about me to anyone, unless I say so. Aside from that, you will have to obey my orders to the best of your ability. Is it clear?"
The Arachne, Sylvia, nodded in agreement.
"Good. Also let me be clear about this. Since you are my subordinate, I will ensure you have all your basic needs fulfilled. As for dangers to your life, I will try my best to minimize them but I cannot make any promises. However, what I can promise you though, is that when I feel that you have done enough for me, I will terminate the contract and set you free."
Sylvia was slightly surprised at his words. She did not know if he was lying or not, but due to the contract she had a pretty strong feeling that he was not lying. Add looked at the Arachne and her large size made him concerned. Her appearance was okay in the forest, but he intended to have her follow him back to Rigel and having a magical beast follow him into a town was not the wisest idea.
"Can you do something about your appearance? I have no problems with how you look, but it's just that a large body is more of a target in others' eyes."
Sylvia was dissatisfied with his words, but she did not say anything.
(Yes. When we made the contract, I realized that I had obtained some new knowledge, it allows me to take a humanoid appearance as long as I wish…)
In fact, most magical beasts above the King Class could take a complete humanoid appearance, and it appeared that due to the contract Sylvia was allowed to do the same while still being at King Class. When in a humanoid form, a magical beast's overall strength dropped by over ten times, however while in a humanoid form it was much harder for others to identify them and it was much easier to mix within other races. As such countless magical beasts took humanoid forms, some taking the appearance of humans, others of Were beasts etc. Sylvia closed her eyes and focused her mana. A bright light covered her body, making Add unable to see what was going on. Within the light, her body greatly shrunk in size, and when the light vanished, a very different Sylvia was standing before him.
"How beautiful…"
Add subconsciously muttered. Sylvia's appearance had not changed too much, her upper body was still the same, but her lower spider body had been replaced by a pair of long and slender milky white legs. As she already had the natural look of an elf with the long ears and everything, now she completely looked like an Elf. Her one piece dress exposed a lot of her fair and plump thighs, her pure beauty complemented by her hourglass figure was enough to make the toughest of men fall in ruin. Perhaps this was what the old legends meant by a "beauty that could cause wars". If her previous appearance as an Arachne was that of a noble and proud queen, she now looked like the manifestation of a dream. Add had enough control over himself and quickly got accustomed to her new appearance. Sylvia however felt embarrassed hearing his complement, 'humph at least you have eyes..' she thought, very proud of herself.
"Ahem… now that all of this is done, there is only one thing left to do…"
The man had no time to appreciate beauty however, he had a mission, and he needed to complete it as fast as possible. He walked up to the corpse of the Serpent, and began stripping the scales off of its body using a sharp knife. Due to the missiles, many scales had been broken and burnt, he collected the ones which were relatively intact. These scales which were each the size of a human palm, were very tough and could be used to make armour. He had used millions of CP to upgrade his [Inventory] and now it could store items which were not obtained from the system as well. The space however was fixed, 1000 cubic metres and no more than that. Storing all the scales that he could take, he retrieved the mana core of the serpent and stored it, under the reluctant gaze of Sylvia who was shocked watching the scales of the serpent and its core vanish into thin air. He also stored as much of the meat as he could from the serpent the bones were not that useful, so he ignored them and let the spiders devour the leftover remains. Sylvia looked at her spider followers who originally numbered over 3000, but were now reduced to a third of that number thanks to Add and the Serpent. The spiders' reproduction rate was quite high, and hopefully they would soon have their original numbers back. After he had completed harvesting the snake, he turned to Sylvia and said,
"Let's go Sylvia. We have got work to do."
"Where to?" Sylvia asked, her followers awaiting orders from their queen.
"You will see soon…"
Followed by a cautious and slightly curious Arachne and a horde of spiders, Add disappeared into the trees. His first ever trip to Waldestein had just began, and there was a lot of game for him to kill.

[Ding! You have levelled up! x 11!]
[Current level : 411 || Experience Required : 2,176,068/4,181,344]
