14 Transformation
Lucas closed his eyes feeling the wind blowing through his hair, hearing the winds slight whistle in his ear. He entered a state of complete focus becoming entirely numb to all outside stimulation, while in this state of complete focus he started feeling a slight force in the wind, chaotic but gentle, aggressive but light, as he started feeling this power he started focusing more on it, as a result, the power became thicker and thicker as the mana hiding in the wind became increasingly exposed to his senses.
Unknown to him the wind began circulating around him at increasingly high speeds, Barthiz had to move far away to avoid being lifted off the ground while Artemis needed to use his demonic energy to keep standing still. The clouds in the sky began circulating as well as it began looking as if an F1 tornado was about to touch down. Artemis frowned as he stepped back and began enshrouding the house they were staying in with a thin layer of demonic energy to keep it from being torn apart.
'How can he already be at such a level with magic, from what I feel the mana signature coming from his body is not actually fluctuating in the way it would if it were to actually be drawing on power rather than just feeling it. Could it be that the mana is drawn to him on its own?'
Artemis's face turned grim as he followed this thought process.
'This is not good if the mana really is drawing to him on such a level without him being able to control it then more and more mana from the wind will cause a disastrous storm! He must finish detecting the mana in his body and drawing the demonic force in to forcefully remove it quickly if he doesn't I am not sure that even I would be able to withstand such a force without my full power! If it comes close to reaching such a point I will have to forcefully intervene.
If this is what happens when he concentrates on the mana in the wind alone I can't imagine the level of power it would be if he saw passed physical differences in the elements and saw mana as one entity on its own. What level of raw power would that achieve? Would the heavens fall and the ground shake under the force of such extreme power?'
The thought sent a chill down his spine as he broke out into a cold sweat as he imagined the scene of such power. While Artemis was turning more and more serious and thinking of his next course of action Lucas remained in his calm state of mind completely oblivious to everything happening externally. As Lucas began concentrating on the feeling of the mana contained in the wind as he also sensed within his own body for the same feeling.
Thankfully for everyone, he managed to find all the places mana was stored in his body within a very short amount of time. Due to the fact that he was no longer using the wind as a medium to detect the mana, it started to disperse once again as the once chaotic clouds evaporated exposing the clear blue peaceful sky above. Witnessing this Artemis and Barthiz heaved a sigh of relief as they looked around at the complete waste of what used to be a somewhat nice looking town.
Succeeding in finding all the mana in his body Lucas began once again feeling the negative energy in the area around him and began pulling the power towards him, due to the fact that he wasn't solely focused on the negative energy before he was not able to pick up on the subtle amounts of negative energy from the past as he did before. As Lucas channeled the negative energy inside him, the energy first went to his heart where it was turned into demonic energy before spreading throughout his body.
Lucas began feeling cold as he did the first time he sensed the negative energies around him but this time knowing what to do he exercised precise control over the energy directing towards the mana concentrations in his body. When the demonic energy came into contact with the mana under his control the mana started being forcefully removed. The moment this process started Lucas felt immense pain all throughout his body almost completely breaking his concentration causing the mana and demonic energy in his body to go slightly chaotic for a split second.
Due to the fact that Lucas reacted quickly enough the process was sped up as some muscle had been destroyed immediately from the chaos instead of slowly like it would've been. Despite this though Lucas was in immense pain as the process continued it took everything he had to keep himself from completely breaking down on the spot.
From the outside, Lucas was completely covered in blood as his skin burst open from the mana being forcefully pushed out from his body. This was the reason that without proper techniques and supervision trying to increase one's strength as a demon was considered a death wish. As Artemis witnessed the absolute pain and suffering his son was persevering through he felt partly concerned preparing to intervene if need be while also feeling immensely proud.
This was due to the fact that even the strongest demons would have difficulty with this process and this was when their attention was completely focused on demonic energy instead of having to split their concentration between two things! As the process continues Lucas continued trying his absolute best to get through it without falling apart as he began feeling weaker and weaker he also knew though that this meant the process would end soon and all he would have to do is calm the demonic energy and then it would be over.

'This is it! I must now concentrate for the last time and calm the demonic energy!
