-1 Phenomenal Author Evolution Data

~*~*~

The story takes place in two locations - one virtual and one in reality. Origo, a VRMMORPG fantasy-themed game, is the dominant setting for the storyline, while the real world setting is a small European town. As with most books from this genre, there will be a time skip, or rather a 'rebirth' of the main character, who goes back into his own past while retaining his previous knowledge. In essence, the main character goes from 2063 back to 2052.

The main character is called Raphael Simon in real life, while his in-game personality is dubbed Jiver Lefevre, part of the human race. At the age of 32, living in Berlin, Raphael dies due to an undisclosed reason and is 'sent back' to his own past eleven years earlier when he's 21 years old and lives alone in a small town.

There will be a specific reason for his death which I will not elaborate on outside the fact that he was not directly killed by neither a friend nor real-life person. His death was however linked to something that happened within the game. His 'rebirth' can thus be viewed as a second chance to live out his life and do all of the things he never managed to do. One of the consequences of his untimely death will be a deep-rooted fear and hatred of the cause of his death, which will be occasionally used in the story as both a comedic relief and a factor behind his decision-making.

[Minor Spoiler Alert!]

At this point I would like to point out that there will be ambiguity as far as whether these side characters are real players or NPCs, as Origo does not offer a ready-made skill or item and there are no markers which would identify anyone as an NPC or player. This is done for a specific reason, which will at this time remain unspecified.

As far as the game itself, Origo is fantasy-themed, which means the typical assortment of races - elves, humans, dwarfs, non-sentient and sentient monsters plus other races that will at this time remain unnamed. Players will be able to choose from a variety of classes - some are universal and available to all races, others are race-specific and some will only be available in-game through hidden opportunities and/or quests, if the player meets certain criteria. Each class will have its own skills - passive and active. Races will also have some personal passive skills that are unique to each race. All skills will require training to reach higher levels, new skills will have to be learned through certain interactions. There will be unique skills - both universal ones and class/race-specific ones that have to be obtained. Further information will be revealed only within the novel itself.

[MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!]

The synopsis is, of course, available where all synopses thrive - at the starting page for this book - so you can go back there and read it, if you have yet to do so.
