17 Cold
The man ran inside and ran to the girl still paying at the cash register. "They towed the car, I left it in a no parking zone and they took it. How can I be this stupid."
Tangli looked at the man "Just call the residence and they'll send a car over no worries." she said with a calm tone.
He looked at his phone and his expression got worse. "My... my phone doesn't have battery I just used the last energy to receive a call."
The girl looked at him and then her expression changed she checked her pockets and remembered her phone was in her purse. She looked at Tangsu "Its in the car... my phone is in my purse in the car."
They both turned to the employee who was getting ready to close the store.
"Do you have a phone we can borrow." they said at the same time.
"There's a pay phone outside the store. I need to close the store, sorry." the shy employee said while the two walked behind her.
They were left outside with only the lights from the store to illuminate them. They made the call to Elder Ling on the pay phone but she wouldn't answer. There was a bus stop next to the store and they could at least go to a hotel. As time went by the night got darker and colder the two sat next to each other on a bus bench.
They sat quietly covered by the mans coat. The girl trembled harder every minute, and without realizing it Tangsu hugged her to warm her a little.
Suddenly the last bus arrived and they got on. The two sat next to each other. The man turned his head down and realized the girls hands were red. He looked at her worried "What happened to your hands?"
Tangli raised her hands "Nothing, their just cold." her voice was calm but there was worry in her eyes. Tangsu wrapped his hands around hers to warm them.
They got off at a hotel and made a call to the residence. They waited at the lobby patiently until a white sports car stopped in front of the glass doors.Without realizing it they were soon at the Ling mansion.
The man took the sleeping woman in his arm up to the room. He put her on the bed gently took her shoes off and covered her in thick blankets.
