17 New destination

After we had lunch we decide to walk around the city, it's too early to go to the pokemon center.

Red: "So... do you have plans about how you are going to fulfill your dream?" Maybe I can give her some tips, in the games, she has become stronger. She could win against some of the elite four. It would be a shame if she stays weak as in the show.

Misty: "It's not that different from any other pokemon journey, it's just that in my case and I just catch water pokemon."

well, that's too vague. She doesn't collect badges because she is a Gym leader herself. But there will be a problem if she doesn't have any goal to accomplish.

Red: "did you have catch any pokemon lately?"

So she has not gotten any pokemon since she left Cerulean City. Well, there are not many rivers in this part of the region.

Red: "You have not even caught a Poliwag on Viridian City's outskirts? I know that there are also Psyduck but they are rarer and hard to catch."

Red: "Let's see, your Staryu is a good choice for a water-type based team, they are resistant and can heal themselves. The next will be a pokemon with a strong attack like Gyarados, they also can learn many different at-."

Misty: "I like water-type pokemon, but Gyarados is a different matter. I will prefer not having to deal with one."

Red: "Well, your Goldeen could be a strong attacker if you train her hard and she evolve into a Seaking. You will also need pokemon that have strong Sp. Attack. Like I said before, you can catch Psyduck, there are many of them in Kanto. Another choice could be a Seel but they use to live next to the sea, you can also try to catch an Eevee but they are harder to find."

Misty: "I have a Seel but I leave him at my house. But he is not used to fighting, are you sure that its a good choice?"

They are really strong and can use Ice-type attacks, so they can defeat grass-type pokemon easily. You can even defeat dragon-type pokemon, that is known as the stronger type of pokemon

Red: "Yes, but as any pokemon, it needs a good trainer to reach his full potential."

Misty: "You don't need to tell me that, I know that."

Red: "Look Pikachu, this place looks interesting. you come, Misty?"

Misty: "Sure, why not?"

We walked into the shop. Here are many things but many of them don't even work. There are some fishing rods but I doubt they still work, its a shame.

Come, on. It has to be something here that still works. I did keep searching for a while, but the only useful thing that I got was a macho brace. It cost me 600 pokedollars, a new one would cost 1500. The system also allows me to buy items, but they are much more expensive, a macho brace cost 3000 pokedollars. That's insane! But there are many items that can not be obtained easily in this world, but if I have the money I can just buy it on the system.

Red: "Have you found anything you want?" I asked Pikachu

It's about time to pick up my pokemon. Misty keeps nagging me about the way I train my pokemon, but I just ignore her.

After we make it to the pokemon center, I walked to the reception area.

Red: "Hello again, Nurse Joy. Are my pokemon ready?"

Nurse Joy: "Hello Red, and yes. Give me a moment, I'll go for them."

She walks into a room and got back after a few minutes.

Nurse Joy: Here. They look good, just a little tired, remember to be kind with them.

Red: "I will. Thank you."

She did smile and say goodbye to me.

As we leave the pokemon center, Misty did start to ask me about my plans.

Red: "I'll be training here for a couple of days before leaving toward Route 3. My plan is got into Cerulean city in 2 or 3 weeks."

Misty: "I-I think this is where we parted. Good luck fighting for the badge."

I smirked.

Red: "Well, I'm not really worried about Cerulean Gym."

'pika?'

She knit her brows.

Misty: "Do you think that you are strong enough to defeat the gym leader from Cerulean city?"

I looked directly into her eyes.

Red: "It's not like that. I heard that the actual gym leader doesn't like to fight, and he simply gives away the badge to anyone that challenges him."

She turns pale...

Misty: "I'm sorry, I have to use the phone. Wait here."

She did run into the pokemon center.

Brock: "Red. I see that you have come to pick up your pokemon. I'm sorry for what happens early, something really important came up. And I've been talking with my father, he said that he will take care of the Gym and look after the family. So I will start traveling to fulfill my dream."

Red: "That sounds awesome, don't you think Pikachu?"

'pikachu'

Red: "I wish you good luck Brock, I know that you have the talent to become the best pokemon breeder."

Brock: "Yeah, about that. It bothers you if I travel with you and Misty?"

Red: "That's fine with me, but I think Misty w-"

Misty: "I'm going with you!"

She is already back?

'pika!'

Red: "I thought that you don't wont to come to Cerulean."

She should be talked with her sister...

Misty: "Something came up, I need to make there as soon as I can."

Red: "Wow, calm down. Why are you so mad?"

Misty: "I'm not mad!"

Red: "Whatever..."

I turn toward Brock.

Red: "It seems that the 3 of us will be keeping us company."
