12 Reaching the fores

Has been 4 days since I did catch Mankey.

The training of my other pokemon its going fine as I just keep training their speed, even Mankey had joined. Mankey is strong but he keeps doing the exercises reluctantly, he needs motivation and I have an idea that may work but I will need my full aura to try it.

Karna can use Ember correctly, no one bug-type pokemon can do anything against him.

Yesterday I've been training how to put aura in attacks, and I almost fainted from tiredness. I have not gotten overwhelming power but I can at least make pokemon lost their balance if I use it correctly. Because of that, I've overslept and when I wake up it was almost noon.

Red: "Its time. Come Pikachu, let's see if Nurse Joy can check our friends before we leave."

Today I'm leaving for the forest, I hope my pokemon can grow stronger there. Karna and Pidgey have the advantage.

I walked to the reception room and give my pokemon to Nurse Joy, so she can check them out.

Nurse Joy: "Oh Red, take here your pokeballs. Your pokemon are fine."

Red: "Thank you. Then, ill take my leave. I want to go to Viridian Forest, I heard that many trainers meet there."

Nurse Joy: "I wish you good luck. You probably will meet with Misty, she leaves yesterday towards Pewter city."

Red: "huh? she probably got lost after running away from an insect-type pokemon."

'Pika pi?'

Red: "Its ok Pikachu, she is a skilled trainer. I'm sure she is fine."

I hook all my pokeballs in my bell.

Red: "Goodbye and Thanks for everything Nurse Joy"

After that, I started to walk the forest.

Let's see...my closest goal is to defeat Brock. I already have Mankey that would be really helpful against Onix. I should have some of my pokemon to learn steel-type moves, in the show, Pikachu learns Steel Tail after training his tail by lifting rocks. I suppose Steel Wing works in the same way.

My pokemon need more training, I need them to get into Lv.10 at least.

Pikachu sleeps in my shoulder while I lost myself in thoughts. After a while, we made it into the forest.

Charlie: "Tch, how come that no one has guts enough to battle against my pokemon. What a bunch of cowards."

He he he, in the last days, two of my Caterpie have evolved. I will create an army of Butterfree and become invincible!

I need to find more Caterpie to catch, those stupid Spearow. They are scaring the Caterpies, in the last days I have not seen any wild Caterpie, just a bunch of Weedle. They are cool but it hurts really bad if they bite you.

I was about to go home when I hear something.

Boy: "I told you Pikachu, there are a lot of trainers in this forest. We just need to keep searching."

'pika pika' He sounds worried.

A newbie trainer, this is my lucky day!

Charlie: "You over there! Fight me!"

'Pika!?' it seems that I scare him.

Red: "Sure" He smiles and take a pokeball from his belt.

Charlie: "Caterpie I choose you!"

Red: "A Caterpie huh? Come Rattata, this is yours."

Charlie: "Caterpie! Use Tackle!"

Red: "Rattata, dodge and use Tackle. "

'Rattataaaa'

Rattata dodge Caterpie easily and send him flying with a Tackle.

Charlie: "nooo! Caterpie, stand up and use String Shot."

Rattata started to fight against the silk threads.

Red: "Calm down, Rattata. Remember that you are the fastest here. Use Quick Attack."

Caterpie was hit again and this time he fainted.

Red: "That was awesome Rattata. Now come back and rest.

'Rattata'

Charlie: "tch, beginners luck. Let's see how you do it against my evolved pokemon. Come out Metapod!"

'Metapod'

Red: "whatever, come out Pidgey."

'Prrrrrr'

Red: "Pidgey, use Gust.'"

Charlie: "Not so fast! Metapod use Harden!"

'Metapod'

Red: "Idiot that just have effect against physical attacks."

Charlie: "What!? Nooooo!"

I frowned and look at the boy

Charlie: "You have no honor, to use a Flying type against my Metapod. Shameless!"

Red: "What are you talking about...Pidgey let's end this with other Gust"

Metapod was knocked out just like that.

Red: "Come back Pidgey, good job."

'prrrrrrrr prrrrrrrr'

I only have one pokemon left.

Charlie: "You just win because Pidgey has the advantage, not because of your skills."

Red: "Sure." He looked annoyed.

Charlie: "Metapod, let's show it what is the meaning of strength."

Red: "I don't plan to use this one against you, but you are really annoying. Come! Karna!"

I don't know what moment this boy walked close to me. He extended his hand, to help me to stand up I suppose. What a good guy.

Red: "Eh? I win, and the loser is supposed to pay to the winner."

Charlie: "It's the first time that I heard about that." I said while frowning

He paled and freezes in the place.

Pikachu keeps trying to make him snap out. He covers his eyes and a few seconds later he started to laugh.

Red:" ha ha ha, I see... so it works like that. Ha ha ha hA Ha HA HA HA HA HA"

He lowered his hand and I see his eyes shining in red.

Im scared. This guy is dangerous. I have to run away.

I don't know how, but a moment later I find me on my feet running as fast as I can.

That guy seems to notices this.

Red: "Wait! You did not give me your phone number! You don't want the rematch?"
