11 Route 22

The next day, we leave early. I don't want to deal with Misty today.

Red: "We should start with a good breakfast and I will give you indications about how are we going to train."

'Chaaa chaaarr' 'prrrr' 'rattata' 'pika chu~'

I take out 4 kinds of pokeblocks and give it to them. [pokemon breeder] skill has almost at intermediate 2, my pokeblocks taste really good. I've tasted the flavor by myself.

I take a juice and a half sandwich from my bag.

After we end with that I tell them to come closer.

Red: "It will be in this order. Karna go first, Pikachu and Rattata are next, and Pidgey at the end."

I walked to Karna and pat his head.

'Chaaar'

Red: "Listen to me Karna, in our last battles you are grown very strong. You will be training to use the fire in your tail to attack, that move is called Ember. You should not be scared, your tail burn because you are healthy and not the other way. Try to use Ember against that rocks."

'Charmander chaar'

He walked to a nearby rock, he doubts for a moment. Then he started to throw some flames as he clumsily waved his tail.

Red: "Ok now. You two, it's your turn. Hi Rattata, we have not seen each other since I catch you. You and Pikachu will be training at speed. I want you to run changing between running the faster you can, and running at normal speed."

'pika?' 'Ratta?'

Red: "I know that it will not make you faster, but a good dashing would be a good start to learn Quick attack later. After we got some money I will buy some enhancing items. Enough talk, start running."

'pi pi pi' 'Rattataa'

Red: "Pidgey, come." I raised my arm and let Pidgey land on him

'prrrr prrrrrr'

Red: "You will come with me, we have something to do."

He inclined his head but don't say anything. We started to walk to a near three next to the high grass, I expand my aura. I know that these pokemon inhabit this area.

After a while, one of them decides to come.

Red: "Get ready Pidgey."

'Prrrr!' He started to fly.

A few seconds later a shadow jump in my direction, you cant not deceive aura little monkey. I moved and a Mankey fall rolling on the ground.

'Manki?'

Red: "Use Gust Pidgey!"

'Prrrrrr!'

Mankey tries to attack me instead of Pidgey but I just dodge it again.

'Manki!

Red: "Keep your distance Pidgey, use Gust again."

Mankey fell on his knees after the second attack. My eyes shine in a faint red while I check Mankey stats.

His ability is Vital Spirit, I prefer Defiance but I suppose this is okay. His nature is Jolly, more speed always is useful. And Mankey doesn't need Sp. Atk.

Before Mankey could stand up, I decide to throw the pokeball. It moves for a few seconds before it stops.

Red: "Good job Pidgey!" He lands in my arm and I give him some pokeblocks.

He goes up to Lv. 6 from this little combat. My other pokemon don't even notice the battle. I keep seeing them struggling in their training.

It was after two hours they finally stop, they were really tired. I did call them and give them some water. We find a nice place to rest in a shade and sit there. I started to meditate while my pokemon fell asleep.

Let's see. At last, I find a pokemon that would be helpful against Brook. Almost every one of my pokemon are weak against Rock-type pokemon. Tomorrow I will go to Viridian Forest, I hope to find many trainers there.
