11 Chapter 11
Later that night, we changed our outfits into a tank top, sweat jacket, ripped black jeans and a pair of shoes. Finally he told me where to go and I laughed because it's only in the park located at the center of this subdivision.
Seriously, huh?
"I just wanna have a walk with you tonight." He said as I asked him why do we have to go to the park. "Talk few stuffs about us... about how you see your life in the future." He added.
It's good to know that he wants to know what's going on with my mind 'cause honestly, it would explode in any second because of my wild imaginations.
"I'm ready to go." I announced as I sat down on his soft sofa while he's busy of something.
"Alright." He said and faced me. He scanned my whole body and just by looking at his eyes, I know he wants to pinch me or something nastier than it.
"Okay." I stood up and ran towards him. He gladly accepted my body and he lifted me up, making me shriek. "Royal!" I whined and hit his back as he's trying to tickle my sensitive part. "N-No!!!" I growled and pinched him, making him moan in pain.
"You're more sadist than I thought." He commented between his chuckle.
"Put me down!" I squawked.
"Fine," he chuckled and bended his knees to get me to my both feet. I panted and pushed him away.
"You know I'm no good when you're doing it to me." I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry. I enjoyed it very much." He smiled sheepishly and I mocked at him with a rolling eyes.
After that moment, we decided to go down and informed his parents that we'll just take a walk in the park and I'm thankful because Aunt Graciana had no problem with that.
"Where will you take your college?" He asked all of the sudden.
After few minutes of walking around the park, I decided to take a seat 'cause I think I'm going to have a muscle cramp.
The wind blows, caressing my naked face. The lights glisten like stars in the sky. And from here, if you'll look up, you can see the little dipper, even the belt of Orion.
"In Italy." I replied in torpor. The thought of leaving him here breaks me unconsciously. "I'll be moving to my grandmother's house. I want to escape from everything. You know I don't have any good relationship with my parents since Omega died."
"You mean... you're going to leave me here all alone?"
I looked down and had to gulp once because his question stung me so bad.
I have been thinking about it. I don't want to leave Royal here but for my heart's sake, I want to leave this place 'cause it will just remind me of my horrible past. I know grandma will take care of me while I'm under her guidance. She loves me more than just a grandchild. She treats me like her own child.
"I'm sorry..." was all I can say. Tears are pooling over my eyes as my heart sinks cursorily. I do hate this but I don't have any choice.
"It's okay..." he said in a sad voice and captured my hands and I looked up to witness how broken he is. "I understand you. And I'm glad you'll be moving to Italy. You have to chase your dreams as much as you want to chase away your bad memories here."
I nodded and looked down again with a heavy sigh. After that, he never dared to speak again. He remained silent until we both entered inside his room.
"Royal..." I called out, trying to sound comfortable.
"Hmm?" He hummed which made my heart break a little. I think it's my very first time to receive an answer like that. Like, he wants me to shut the fuck up and get lost with my damned life.
"A-are you mad?" I asked, stammering. My eyes heat up and tears dwell in.
"No." He curtly said that made my heart sink totally. I nodded even though he can't see it and whirled around to walk away.
I thought Royal will chase after me but I was so wrong. So I decided to go home on my own while crying in the middle of my way home. I'm so worthless. I turned off my phone, not wanting to receive any calls or messages from anyone, most specially from him.
Early in the morning when I woke up with my throbbing head. Last night, I slept almost midnight because I can't stop myself from crying. The harder I try to run dry my tears, the more my heart sinks which make me cry even harder.
"Hey! What's with the swollen eyes?" Angelika commented, inspecting me from to toe and I rolled my eyed tiredly because I'm in havoc right now.
"You know what? You've changed a lot." Janrez also commented as she took the seat beside me while the other girls sat in front of me.
We're inside our room. Everyone's busy with marriage booth. They're trying to make it more presentable and catchy. And I'm here, stuck on my chair while feeling depressed.
"I'm moving to Italy right after the final exam." I stated and they abruptly gasped at my statement.
"You're kidding, aren't you?"' Trixie voiced out.
"Do I even look like?" I whined and rolled my eyes again.
Last night, mom and dad told me I'll move to grandma's house right after our final exam. A part of me celebrated at that thought but who am I kidding? A part of me wants to stay here because I don't want to leave Royal. You see? The whole night, I didn't hear any word from him which took me to the time when he said once I hurt him, I shouldn't expect to hear any word from him. I guess he was really serious at all. I also remember when Desirque told me that once Royal utters his words, expect that it'll be done.
"But what about us?" Via questioned, wearing her sad eyes and I sighed in exhaustion.
"I don't know." I said. "But mom's so eager to send me to grandma."
"Oh, that bitch." Murmured by Angelika with a rolling eyes, which I heard it clearly.
"Do you even want to?" Asked Janrez, as if I was just forced to move to Italy.
"Yes," I replied in torpor. "You know I already told you about it."
"But why so soon?" Trixie whined in furrowed brows.
"I don't know. It was mom's idea."
They puffed and huffed, annoyed.
"I'm starting to hate your mother even more." Angelika stated.
"Yeah," Via agreed. "What kind of a mother is she?"
I snapped my tongue. "Nevermind her. If that's what she thinks is better for me."
"Better?" Via mouthed. "It's better to live here, Alpha. It's better to live here with us."
"What about Royal? Are you... going to leave him too?"
I sighed again in pain.
"Yeah," I murmured. "I have no choice, anyway."
"You have!" Trixie overreacted and I turned to her sluggishly. "You have choices but you chose to leave him here. What if he'll find a girl who's better than you?"
"Excuse me?" I reacted quickly. "What are we? We're not into a relationship."
"Why?" Angelika reacted abruptly. "Do you think you can leave people here just because you're not in a relationship with them?" She rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Let her," Via protested but I know her eyes are showing agreement to what Angelika stated.
"What "let her"? Psh." Angelika rolled her eyes once again and turned to me. "If that what makes you happy, then go! Leave us here. I know we don't really matter to you at all."
"It's good for her, Anj." Janrez insisted. "We just hope that if she'll come back, she'll have a good relationship with her parents. It's no easy to grapple with her life."
"Yeah," agreed by Trixie. "Don't be such an inconsiderate fathead."
"Whatever you say," Angelika muttered with a rolling eyes and I looked down for some unknown reasons.
As valentine's day is nearly approaching, we have ample of time to relax and of course, to prepare and finalize our marriage booth. The party will be on 13 since we don't have any class on 14.
"I'm so excited for tonight's party!" Trixie exclaimed in excitement.
"You're not too obvious." I joked and she giggled more.
We're inside the coffee shop. Today is 13 and true to Trixie's words, tonight is our party.
"I heard someone will dance you." Via butted in and plastered a teasing smile while Trixie pursed her lips and her cheeks flushed in red.
"Who?" I asked excitedly. The thought of Trixie dancing with someone is pretty invigorating.
"Oh, guys," she shrugged. "It's Riley Venturi!"
My lips formed into O. I can't believe my ears.
"Really?" I exclaimed in disbelief.
"Yeah," she wiggled her brows in between a mischievous smile and I know there's something going on between them.
"Congrats!" Janrez sarcastically blurted out. "I can hear howling voices already."
Trixie mocked at her.
"You're not in love that's why you hate this thing."
"Well, I believe boys are boys. They only want your attention."
I stared at nowhere, pondering. Maybe she's right at some point. But I believe not all boys only want attention. They also want your heart. Or should I say, they want your heart to be broken. I don't know. The hell I care about that, anyway?
"Huh! Enough with your dark perceptions, Rez. Just shut up and find your own party for tonight."
"No need." She quickly replied. "I don't need them."
"Okay." I said and brushed everything off. It's good to hear that she's not interested with any boys. Hence, she won't experience heartbreaks.
After the class, which is until 11:40 only because we have to ready ourselves tonight, we pampered ourselves with clothes and beauty products. We went to a dermatologist to handle our face and our underarms. After that, we decided to standby inside a coffee shop.
"I'm really excited, guys." Trixie suddenly voiced out. "I can hear the beats of musics. Tug tug tug. And I can see errant neon lights all over the place." She added dreamingly.
"Oh! I'm excited with bubbles all over the place." Janrez seconded. "You know... like in a bar or clubs. Usually they have bubbles with white lights that look like a flash of a camera."
"Yeah," I said between a sigh. "I hope we'll enjoy the party."
I suddenly imagine what will happen tonight. Will I enjoy the party? I hope Royal will be there and he'll dance with me. I can already imagine myself in his arms. His hands are on my waist while mine are on his shoulders, smiling all through out the music. His deep set eyes are on mine like if he'll blink, he'll lose me. I suddenly wonder what does it feel to be in that situation. I'm sure I'll get lost again. Lost in his eyes.
"Seems like you're not excited." I heard Via concluded, who took me back to my sanity and I turned to her, whose eyes are on me while sipping her cold drinks.
"Maybe?" I shrugged. "I-I mean... I'm just tired right now and I don't have any energy left to be excited."
"Okay," she nodded at my rationales. I don't know if she's already convinced but I hope so.
After that, we decided to go home because my body wanted to collapse. I haven't seen Royal yet. I haven't heard anything about him which is very new to me. In fact, this past couple of days, he was so cold to me. He doesn't want to talk to me. I don't know what had happened. As far as I remember, when we talked about me moving to Italy, he told me it's okay for him to leave. That he's happy 'cause aside of being chased away from my horrible past, I also want to chase my dreams. What are my dreams, anyway?
"Alpha..." called out by dad, who's walking now towards me and I gulped once for some unknown reasons.
We're in the living room. I am doing my assignments when he showed up, calling me.
"Y-yes, dad?" I stammered. My tears suddenly pooled over my eyes without my permission. I never thought being like this stung me so bad. I miss him so much. I miss him calling me "sweetheart", "dear", "princess" or any overwhelming nicknames.
He took the seat which is next to me and I stopped from what I'm doing just to give my whole attention in him.
"Your mom told me we have to be in Royal's house tonight."
I scrunched my brows, confused.
"But why? Remember, we have a party tonight." I protested calmly.
I can't ditch that party. My friends will be there. And they expect me to be there as well.
"I know but, can you set it aside?"
I looked away. I can feel annoyance slowly building up at the pit of my brain.
"How important is it, dad? And why tonight?"
"Royal has a big announcement. We are invited because they treat us as their family."
I gritted my teeth in resignation. You better assure me it's very important, Royal. Or else... or else.
"Will it take long?" I asked, hoping it's just a short conversation with Mocetti Family.
"Yes, dear. I assure you."
I melted at how he called me and I nodded obliviously 'cause I know in my part, he's still my dad and I will always love him.
"You better finish your assignment and after that, change your clothes into a formal outfit. I'm sure you can't wait about the announcement." And he smiled at me. A smile that melts my heart cursorily. It feels like it's my very first time to see that smile.
"Yes, dad." I smiled at him.
His smile disappeared and he cleared his throat.
"I'll be going now. I'm sure your mom will arrive at any moment."
"Sure, dad." I smiled bitterly while he nodded and stood up, tugging his tux and he whirled around and walked away, leaving me hanging.
I sighed for unknown reasons. My chest is heavy that I can barely breathe. How I wish this night will end.
Seriously, huh?
