17 Saiyan bloodline

For the past four days, Oliver had been using all of his time to understand more about the thing called Orb. He had gained a lot but he had come to a very astounding realization – Orb has a huge fetish for anime and web novels.

There was even some bad news mixed in too. Like his world was an unranked world - weakest world to exist. The ranks go from E to A, and then they transform into S rank territory which he wasn't authorized to know about. His mission worlds had a minimum rank of E. If he was unlucky enough then he may even be sent to a world with a hidden ranking as high as A.

Orb was even "kind" enough to remind Oliver that with his current strength he could barely qualify as a threat in E rank worlds.

Thankfully everything wasn't so bad. The day he had killed Brittany, Oliver received a message from the Orb. Apparently, there was a sale on low-level Saiyan bloodline. If he bought five of them at once, then he would get 80% off the original price. The total price was coming to 50,000 SVP.

For a moment Oliver was really excited about spending all of his SVP to get as many of the Saiyan bloodlines as he could buy. But then he saw the T&C section of the sale.

(You won't be able to become a super Saiyan using this product. A higher level product is needed.)

So, Oliver used the past few days to grill Orb about as much information as he could. He came to the following conclusion.

'Using SVP to directly raise my attributes is a very wasteful move. I can get a bloodline suited for increasing my attributes through training, or buy useful equipment to enhance my combat effectiveness.'

The scenery around Oliver changed into a shade of blue and time stopped flowing.

[There are only 10 minutes left until the end of the sale. Want to buy the bloodlines?]

"Yeah, I'm actually planning to buy some. But I want to confirm some things before that."

[Go ahead.]

"First of all, why are you giving me a sale?"

[That's pretty simple actually. I will actually talk to you about this after you complete your fifth world. Rules and all. Although it is nothing serious, but it is information after all. And you can never be too careful while handling information.]

"Sigh, ok. How much SVP do I need to get information about my next mission world? And how early can I get the information?"

[1,000 SVP for basic information. 5,000 to know about some key characters. You can get the information at most one hour before the mission.]

"Good! Can I bring anyone with me to the mission world? And what advantages and disadvantages will that have on my missions?"

[Right now you can bring 10 people with you. The limit may increase if you perform exceptionally well in completing a main mission. Although the difficulty of the main mission itself won't change, though branch quests may become harder or easier depending on the circumstances. They can also gain SVPs by completing Branch quests and killing assigned targets, but they won't get any rewards for helping or completing the main mission. If you want to make a person residing in a mission world come with you, things can get a little difficult, or to be more exact convoluted.]

"Difficult?"

[First, you need to pay 10,000 SVP as a penalty for E level mission world characters. It increases by 10 times as the rankings increase. And the most important thing is that they must decide to come with you of their own free will. No forceful methods are allowed at all. You can't even use something like hypnotising them or methods along those lines. Trust me, very few people are willing to leave behind everything just for a single person.]

"So, it can be very easy or very difficult depending upon your ability to make people follow you. Welp, I can just forget about trying to do that cause I'm pretty sure that I won't succeed."

[So, bloodlines?]

"Yes, I would like to buy 10 of them."

[Just a friendly reminder, beware of the full moon.]

"Haha, thanks! Will keep that in mind."

It was middle of the day and technically Oliver should be at his university right now.....but since he was so busy with making plans to save his planet, so he thought that university could wait.

He quickly dialled Romano's number.

"Hey, Romano! Are you free right now?"

"Yes, boss. What do you need?"

"Gather the girls at the Moonlight. Oh, and bring your most trusted subordinate capable of fighting. Take some moment to carefully select the person as this is going to be very important."

"Sure thing boss. I will get everything ready within an hour."

.....

Oliver walked into the 17th floor and noticed that all seven people were present.

Romano walked forward and said, "Boss I thought that Jeff would be the best candidate. He has been with me since the start of my career, and he has also saved my life on multiple occasions."

Oliver quietly observed Jeff for some time. Although he was in his early thirties, just like Romano, but the hideous scars oh his face made it very difficult to determine his true age.

"Jeff, this will be a very tough journey from now on. You will soon realize that your strength is nothing in face of our coming adversaries. And trust me you will have to struggle a lot just to barely survive. So, do you want to do this?"

Jeff gave his usual polite smile and said, "The only thing I'm not afraid of is hard work, big boss. As for struggling to survive...I don't want to brag but that thing has kind of become my field of expertise."

Oliver cracked a grin at that statement.

"Everyone I called you today because I came across something awesome and I wanted to share it with you guys. But before that, how many of you have watched Dragon Ball Z?"

Although Oliver had kind of expected it, he was still a little surprised that Ellie, Romano, and Jeff were completely clueless about it. They hadn't even heard of the name...ever!

"Well, watch it when you have free time. It is important for what's coming next.....except for Ellie, she won't be getting this thing as it may hamper her abilities to become a great scientist."

Oliver clicked his finger and seven small vials filled with a red liquid appeared in his hand.

"These liquids can grant us Saiyan bloodline, just a low level one but that will do for now. We are going to enter some serious combat very soon. And I want all of you to survive and become stronger. Don't even think of dying, I have spent so much to get you guys up to standard."

He then turned towards Emma and Matilda, "I want you to tell Ellie, Romano, and Jeff everything about the Saiyan bloodline. Don't forget about the full moon too."

With that, he handed one vial to everyone except Ellie.

"Ellie we all are going to be in tremendous pain while assimilating with the bloodline. I want you to make sure that no one disturbs us during the process."

Ellie's expression had been one of intense curiosity as she was about to see humans turn into something else. She wanted to ask lots of questions to her mysterious boss, but he had already warned them about his love for secrets. With a small sigh and her usual professional and cold look, she gave a quick nod.

'According to the internet, this is how smart girls should react when talking to their boss. It was explicitly written that men like it a lot. I hope the boss likes it.'

And so seven people started doing a snake dance on the floor, accompanied by their beautiful screams.
