2 Chapter 1
[Welcome! Candidate #2212345678. Mission will start in 30 minutes. Please prepare yourself.]
Oliver found himself in an empty small room. It was completely made up of some kind of grey metal and there were no windows or doors present. By now Oliver had completely given up on understanding what was going on. All he wanted was to die and leave his nightmares behind.
Except the hope for saving all of them kept him from doing something stupid.
'I hope that I'm not hallucinating due to the weird drugs prescribed by the hospital.'
So, he pushed forward....awkwardly.
[Candidate #2212345678 as this is your first mission, you have been given a welcome gift. Would you like to open it?]
Oliver jumped back due to the sudden sound and the weird blue window hovering in front of him. He tried touching it, but his hand just passed through the floating window without any resistance.
[Candidate #2212345678 would you like to open it?]
"Umm…yeah?"
[Congratulations!
You have obtained Enhancer Serum (Basic). It will improve your physical body by 1.5 times.
You have obtained 5 Skill Points (SP). It will improve the level of your skills. You have zero skills currently.
It is suggested that you use the Enhancer Serum right now as Candidate #2212345678 has a very weak physical body. The chances of completing the first mission are very minimal.]
'Calm down Oliver. You can do it. Just ask questions and then move from there. So, what should I ask?'
"Hey! Whoever you are I have a question?"
[Please ask Candidate #2212345678.]
"THE FUCK IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?"
[Candidate #2212345678 It is suggested that you work more on your language skills. It may make the future missions a bit easier.
Now, by sheer coincidence you have been chosen as a member of the Orb, and you have formally bonded with the contract. Every world has only one member to maintain the secrecy.
Generally, the members are chosen from the 3000 worlds chosen by the creator, but you are an anomaly. You are the first person ever outside of the 3000 worlds to become a member of the Orb, so you have been compensated with the welcome package you just opened.
All you have to do here is to complete a mission, collect as many Survival points (SVP) as possible, and use those points to become stronger. You have to do this every two weeks.]
"Can I not do the missions?"
[Sure. You will be killed as that is the only way to lift the contract safely, and your body will be transferred back to your world. If you want that to happen, please say okay or yes.]
"Wait no, I don't want to die so soon and in such weird circumstances. You should try to understand that all this is very confusing for me. A guy from future told me that I will be sent back in time and I can make everything right."
[No, I won't try to understand as it is very tiring. And yes, if you struggle hard enough you can even become a god.]
"Sigh. Why are you being so cold to me? Can't you give me some helpful advice please."
[Sure Candidate #2212345678. I have a few lines for you. First, if you are 'technically' alive after returning to this room then you can recover completely. Though recovery time may vary depending on the injuries and points spent.
Second, there are hidden mission present in each world, and they can drastically increase the number of points you obtain.
Last, take that Enhancer serum ASAP and get used to the feeling of soul searing pain as quickly as you can. They will become a very intimate part of your life.]
"Technically alive?"
[Man, you are so stupid. I planned on behaving professionally like a good AI, but no! You have to keep on asking stupid questions. It means that your HP should be above zero and you can check you current HP by saying 'status'. Get ready soon man. If you are not into the mission world before the 30 minutes end, then you will go *kapoosh*.]
"Damn! Then give me the serum. And can you provide me any info about the upcoming mission?"
[You need to spend SVPs to know more about them. Brace for the pain from the serum.]
Even before the AI had finished his warning, Oliver fell down backwards and started twitching like crazy. His eyes rolled back and he completely lost his consciousness after 20 seconds.
....
[Ah! You are awake. There is only 30 seconds left before the mission starts. I wanted to give you a little warning before you go. All other candidates have average attribute points of 7 but yours barely pass 2. So, Best of Luck! You will need it.]
Oliver had barely regained his consciousness for a few seconds before it was covered with darkness again.

Main Mission: Kill 10,000 Hive members.
Note: Further branch missions may be added depending upon your actions.]
An old man wearing a very decorated military uniform was giving some blood-boiling speech in the background. But Oliver was more occupied by the blue window floating in front of him.
As soon as his eyes had opened, he had found himself surrounded by thousands of young men and women wearing military uniform. All of them were standing in a square formation and he was standing at the end of one of the lines within the formation. Suddenly the blue window accompanied by a cold and gender-less voice had appeared in front of him.
He almost jumped out of surprise. But he was so tired mentally that his body didn't react fast enough.
'So, I have to kill 1000 Hive members. I have never heard about hive before. Well except for insect groups. I guess I should finish attending this assembly first and then fish for some information.'
Oliver started focusing on what the Old man on the stage was saying.
"Many of you may die, and it is indeed a very sad thing. But think of your family members, your loved ones….they are still alive because of sacrifice of millions of army personnel that came before you. If we want human race to survive then we MUST win the war against the Hive."
A deep silence covered the assembly hall as everyone present contemplated the words spoken by the old man.
He gave a small cough and continued, "All of you will be trained for one month. You will learn how to operate your armor. There will be lots of simulations to get you accustomed to the way the Hive army fights. There will also be lecture on various aspects of a battlefield and more. Do your best so that you can survive a moment longer on the battlefield. Now does anyone have any questions? No?Then dismissed."
'Damn! How am I supposed to survive a war? And what kind of armor needs training to be used?
Looking at the resolute expression on everyone's face around him, Oliver gulped down all of the saliva in his mouth and walked forward shakily towards an equally shaky future.'
