95 A Hidden Skill!
Dro turned his head to Lucia and Fina, but as he turned it, he frowned and turned his head in three other directions – the three directions where Cari sensed danger. Turning his head to the first one, he knew that a level 30 monster was there. Turning his head to the second one, he knew that a level 45 monster was there. Turning his head to third and final one, he knew that a level 71 monster was there.
"Cari was able to sense enemies by their 'dread' and now I can as well? But I thought that only active skills could be taken by using . And I didn't receive any notification for a new skill either… Maybe it's a hidden skill that is not displayed?" Dro thought and turned his head to Fina and Lucia.
"Why did you kill her," Lucia said with slightly furrowed eyebrows.
Fina smiled widely and turned her head to Lucia, "Big brother Dro saved me from the werewolf, and saved me from Erylis, and took me back from her, and patted my head, and stopped big sister Cari from hurting me and killed her. All because big brother Dro liked me from the moment we met and when he saw big sister Cari attack me, he got angry that he wanted to kill her himself. But he couldn't act rashly as big sister Cari can sense danger and she could paralyse all of us for five seconds and escape. He had to trick her. Big brother Dro made big sister Cari drop her guard by saying that he would punish both big sister Cari and me. For my 'punishment' he patted my head and made big sister Cari drop her guard and when she came close to him, he killed her," she giggled lightly.
Lucia frowned.
"Ehh? I only killed Cari because Fina acted in the same exact way I would have and I stopped her, which was a hypocritical action from my side. To make up for it, I killed Cari…" Dro thought; then looked into Lucia's beautiful eyes and said, "Everyone that betrays me or are my enemies, I will kill without any mercy or hesitation. And those that attack me or my companions become my enemies. Since she attacked Fina, she became my enemy."
Fina nodded her head happily.
"Cari was your companion as well, wasn't she? If I attacked Fina or if Fina attacked me, or even if the next one you turn attacked either one of us? Would you kill the attacker?" Lucia said, with a frowning expression on her face.
Fina frowned, but she didn't say anything and looked at Dro as she was curious about this as well.
Dro furrowed his eyebrows, "The next time a conflict between my companions rises, I won't interfere… Unless it's Lucia's life that will be at stake," he thought; then shook his head and said, "Cari is different from the two of you."
"How so," Lucia said and Fina nodded.
"When I met Cari, I had no intention to turn her. I turned her because she managed to survive my attack," Dro said.
Cari and Fina both nodded at the same time and they both smiled.
Dro turned his head in the direction of the enemy that was , "That monster will be much stronger than the nightmare beasts that are . I should get all of our levels to even before attempting of fighting it," he thought and turned in the direction where they were heading before, "Let's go. From now on, all enemies you will be dealing with together."
Fina and Lucia looked at each other and nodded. They together with Dro walked in the direction they were headed before. Walking for fifty-yards, Dro and the girls saw another nightmare beast that was standing and he cursed inwardly, "I forgot to loot the earlier nightmare beast… I am going to take it out on this nightmare beast that is in front of me!" he thought and said, "I am going to deal with this one alone."
"Alright, Dro," Lucia said.
"Alright, big brother Dro," Fina said.
Dro took a few steps forward, he unsheathed his sword with his left hand and in his right hand a spear made out of blood appeared as he used the skill, by using 35 blood. He took another few steps forward and chugged the spear at the nightmare beast.
SWOOSH!
The spear flew through the air and hit the nightmare beast standing in the distance. The damage number floated up above the monster's head . The nightmare beast was reduced to 18,128 health. Dro gained 49 Rage and both his passives activated. His first passive increased his damage by 10%. His second passive increased his damage by 49% and his damage reduction by 24.5%.
The nightmare beast roared in pain. It glared at Dro and started flapping its wings. "No you won't," Dro thought and jumped towards the nightmare beast by using his skill by using 35 energy. He landed atop of the nightmare beast. The monster roared in pain and anger and damage floated up above his head, . He was reduced to 5416 health.
"That's low enough," Dro thought, his right hand morphed into the hand of a werepire and he plunged it towards the nightmare beast's heart as he used the skill . The monster screamed out in pain and it collapsed onto the ground even before it could float up a single centimetre from the ground; it got enveloped in a golden light.
Dro touched the corpse and a loot window opened.
"It's the same exact item…" Dro thought and tapped on it, looting it.
Dro turned around, facing Fina and Lucia, "Let's go."
