11 Gathering The Pelts!
After looting the only item, the loot window closed.
Dro stood up and looked down at the corpse of the Vampire Bat, "I need five more pelts to complete the quest," he thought and turned his head to look around. He didn't have to look for long as just as he turned his head to the left, he saw the monster he was looking for.
"I took a while to kill it," he thought and unsheathed his axe. He put it in front of his face and frowned as he thought, "I can't use Blood Slash with this axe… I need to get a sword or a spear… maybe the town has a weapon shop? … but even if it does, I don't have any gold to buy it with." He shook his head and focused on the Vampire Bat.
He walked in the five-yard range of the Vampire Bat and used a skill.
The bat screeched and it rushed towards Dro. He narrowed his eyes and with his axe rushed at the Vampire Bat.
…
"Finally down!" he heaved a sigh of relief but then frowned as his eyes landed on the corpse. "The body is not glowing? There is no loot?" he mumbled slightly stunned and then he tried to touch the corpse but even as he did nothing happened – there was no loot window.
He narrowed his eyes and thought, "So it's not a 100% drop chance, typical…" He then scanned the area and upon finding the next Vampire Bat attacked.
…
He continued killing the Vampire Bats and by the time he gathered all the pelts and stopped, he had killed 8 more Vampire Bats and he was now only 10 experience points away from levelling up. He looked at the experience bar.
"One more and I will Level Up!" he thought. He then looked around and in less than a single breath of time, he found the Vampire Bat that he had searched for.
Dro walked up to the bat and when he was five yards range away from it, used a skill by extending his hand at it.
…
After another long battle, a notification message flashed.
"I did it," he thought and smiled. He opened the menu and the character window.
"What should I increase now… Looking at the base stat distribution the three main stats are Vitality, Strength and Dexterity. I think I should focus on those three. Even if I don't have any skills that require Dexterity, I am sure that I will get them but since there are no skills like that yet, I should first focus on Strength, then on Vitality and lastly Dexterity."
Dro added the points by tapping the plus icons near the attributes. He added 8 points into Strength, 5 points into Vitality and the last 2 points into Dexterity.
Dro nodded his head and closed the character window. He glanced at his experience bar, "The quest will reward me with 100 experience points, I can kill two more Vampire Bats and then go back," he thought.
Dro looked around and locked his eyes on the Vampire Bat. He walked out to the Vampire Bat and in the range of five yards used the skill, that he used to initiate every fight.
Because the skill did percentage damage based on the enemy's health, it did the same amount of damage, even when his attribute points have increased.
The bat receiving the attack screeched and rushed at Dro. He unsheathed his axe and approached the bat before striking it with a swing of the axe. The axe swing was no longer clumsy as when he used it for the first time. After swinging the axe for more than a hundred times, he got used to it.
"Huh? What did I just?" he mumbled and froze. His eyes trailed downwards before landing on the dead Vampire Bat, he blinked his eyes and tilted his head in confusion. A breath of time passed and he recovered from his shock. "Did I just create a skill? And did it just one hit the monster, I took so long to kill before?" he mumbled.
"I need to check it," he thought and then he opened the character window from the menu.
His eyes jumped to the very last skill and then he carefully read it. He blinked his eyes and smirked, "That's cool ... I can create my own skills!"
