After Xuanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Ganglie, and Sha Wujing had experienced ninety-nine and eighty-one difficulties, they finally arrived at Xitian.

After obtaining the scriptures, Tathagata bestows the title of Buddha to them.

First it was, Sha Wujing, then Zhu Ganglie, and Sun Wukong turn.

“Your six roots are not pure, and you have regrets in your body and mind. Therefore, you cannot be bestow the title.”

Xuanzang understood instantly what Tathagata meant by “regrets in the body”.

Because he once cut off a piece of meat for Xi Ying to eat, he naturally had a shortcoming.

But what does “have regrets in mind” mean?

Moreover, “six roots are not pure”?

Could it be that the Buddha was talking about him…

“You have been an orphan since you were a child. Although you have no worries about food and clothing, your feelings are rather weak. Human nature will make you unknowingly learn how to love. You are ashamed of someone, and you need to find your own salvation.”

Tathagata’s words made Xuanzang’s heart become clear. He felt his cloudy heart being cleared and he could see the sky.

He dug out the feeling deeply buried mind, faced it, and listened to its voice.

This is-

love.

“Buddha, this disciple understands!”

“I will take back all your spells. Starting today, you are no different from ordinary people.”

“In this life, just do what you want to do.”

Xuanzang left Xitian and returned to Nu’er on foot.

He was alone on the whole journey.

It was very hard, but there was always a smile on his face.

The years still didn’t leave any mark on him, and his handsome face was indistinguishable from the original.

Four years later, Xuanzang finally returned to Nu’er.

However, after asking passers-by, he realized that the queen was no longer a little girl.

“Zhanglao, why do you want to inquire about the queen after nearly five hundred years ago?” A female officer passed by him and stopped after hearing his question to passersby.

“Five hundred years ago?” Xuanzang’s pupils shrank slightly.

He just went to Xitian, why is it already five hundred years?

“Yes. Fortunately, I like to study the history of Nu’er, so let me tell you. It is said that after the queen sending away the master and three apprentices, the queen announced abdication, and then disappeared. The queen was really confident and free.
