Chapter 38 A Sword that Runs Rampant in the Apocalypse (38)
Bai Tang leaned against her sword, "That's why I won't save people like her. In a peaceful age, I may not have been able to kill her, but in this age of zombies roaming, I'll let her dig her own grave. It's also an explanation for those who shouldn't have died."
Shi Minzhi stated, "If you were a normal woman, you would have been killed by her."
Shaking her head, Bai Tang continued her search for survivors, "This may not be the case, there are unusual noises coming from the bedroom. I must stay vigilant, saving lives is my duty and I will not be deterred by the potential dangers of doing so. When I am doing this, I have already prepared for the worst, imagining the worst of people. Saving others will not impede my ability to be cautious."
Evil always exists, the heartless and deceitful were never in short supply.
"The Captain is truly unexpected," Shi Minzhi said, lowering his eyes.
The Captain's way of thinking was truly unique.
Perhaps some people prepare for the worst before saving others, but it was usually about the situation of the person being saved. How could anyone imagine the person they were saving as the worst of people? If they did, why would they still go ahead and save them?
Bai Tang did not explain too much, it was her own method of self-preservation. Without prior contact, these people were all strangers. Saving first was her principle, and caution was her self-preservation. If that person truly was a bad person, then she will become the sword of judgement.
After a thorough search, they found many more survivors. But this was too tiring, Bai Tang found a loudspeaker from one of the rooms and brought it with her, turning it up to the maximum volume.
They stopped at every area where there might have been survivors, giving them half an hour to send out a distress signal or come out of hiding.
Shi Moxuan followed behind the team in his car, gritting his teeth with hatred for Bai Tang. He couldn't deny that she was truly powerful, and following her increased his chances of survival.
