18 Chapter 18
*Andy's POV*
I could not believe Lydia is the culprit. I didn't see it coming. She was so sweet and loving. I should have known she was just after my money, a deal between her and her father. No wonder how badly I treated her before, she still stayed by my side. And here I am who stupidly fell on her trap. This revelation was right on time. God, she's a great actress. All this time she was faking it.
I arrived at the mansion almost ten in the evening. I went straight to her room. Good thing it was not locked. She was sleeping soundly. She's wearing her 'Hello Kitty' pyjamas. I turned on the lights but she didn't move. I scanned her face and it seemed that she was smiling in her sleep. However, she's a bit pale. I don't care anymore. She had fooled me.
She stirred and finally opened her eyes and found me standing near the door. Her face lit up. "Honey?" She jumped out of bed and was running towards me. She looked so delighted to see me. What an act? God, she is so good. No wonder she fooled me with her father-daughter plan. She was about to hug me when I pushed her back to the bed.
"Cut that bullshit darling!" I stated thick with sarcasm.
"What's wrong?" She asked me and giving me that stupid innocent look.
"Stop pretending like you know nothing, you b*tch!" I saw fear in her eyes but I will never be fooled by this woman again.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about." Her voice is shaking and tears are falling nonstop.
"Then you better give me a good explanation about this." I've thrown the folder to her. The contents scattered on the floor. She took it one by one and stiffened as she scanned it. It includes pictures of her with her father in a restaurant handing a folder. It also includes all other evidence pointing that she's the culprit.
"It's not me. This is all a lie. You know how much I love you I wouldn't do such thing. I never contacted my father until now." She defended herself.
"Do you think I will believe you? Those documents came from a very reliable source." I snapped at her.
"It is not true. Believe me!" She's now pleading. She's been trying to hug me but I keep on pushing her away.
"I love you darling, for who you are, for being the loving and sweet you. I didn't love you for what you have." She was crying hysterically. She had become paler as minutes passed but I didn't mind it.
"The wedding is off. We're over. I will never marry a liar." Her eyes went wide by my statement. I could see so much pain in her emerald eyes. She deserved it. Her hands instantly went to her stomach.
"You're lying right?" Lydia whispered. "The only person who perfected the art of lying is you." I shouted at her. She cringed with fear but she hugged me tightly. I tried to push her away but she's not giving up.
"Please Andy, please I love you.... please please I beg you. Please stay.... don't leave me please... I love you.... please...." She was begging in between tears.
"We're over Lydia. I don't want to see you anymore."
"No no no.. please Andy, I love you. I will die without you. I can't do it. Please... Please I beg you. We need you... please .... please... I love you..." She's still hugging me like her life depended on me. She's breaking down I know. But how could I trust her again? She had ruined everything.
I used so much force to push her away from me that her butt landed on the floor with a very loud thud. I looked at her face now as white as paper. She slowly looked up at me. Sorrow, longing, love are evident in her eyes. How can she convey a lot of emotions in one time? She stared at me for a second before her eyes turned lifeless right in front of me. Lifeless? She closed her eyes and her body gave up. She collapsed on the floor. I was dumbfounded. I was stunned and couldn't move. My heart is pounding so loud I can't hear anything. It took me a few minutes to gain myself back.
"LYDIA..!" I went to her side and checked on her. She was not moving. I held her hand but she was as cold as ice. Then I noticed the blood in her thigh. I panicked. I didn't know what to do. God, what have I done?
A few more minutes, Lydia is bathing with her own blood. Her pulse now is very faint. "Lydia! Wake up! Lydia please...! This is not a good joke darling." A while ago she was the one who's begging me to stay. Look how the tables turned in just a blink of an eye.
