15 Winged Serpent Tribe

There were thousands of different tribesmen by the coast. Many more were being carried over by large Throne Restorers ships.

Some of the tribesmen had legs and hands severed from their body. There were marks left by sharp weapons, poisonous arrow and the burns from the fire. Even the children unspared from cruelty. Many corpses lined up by soldiers. They looked unrecognizable, and only their shape looked human. Their body had turned purple from lethal poisons and it had already started to rot.

There were snakebite marks present all over their body. A mix of saliva and blood had come out of their mouth. Their head severed later to make it less painful for them.

The survivors looked miserable. Many had their guts cuts open. The wound held together by ropes and torn clothes prevented the intestine from bulging out. Their body smashed with blunt weapons. Shattered bones popped out of their skin. Tribal Women had their face burned and their honor was taken from them. Their eyes looked dead inside.

Aisina with the other kids couldn't hold on anymore, and they threw up. The foul smell made from burned bodies covered the air. They had never witnessed such a cruel scene.

Rais had experienced many bloody scenes within his vision but his body still shook from the brutality. Ludos threw up and turned around as he couldn't look anymore. He couldn't imagine how cruel the actual battlefield must have been.

They saw a few more ships approaching the shore. These ships carried women and children. They jumped down from the ship and started running. They gathered around their tribe leaders and shamans corpses to mourn for them. Few surviving warriors from the tribes looked humiliated. They couldn't look them in the eye. Their eye became moist confronting their kids and women. They could do nothing but seek foreign help or die knowing their women and children be enslaved.

They had dishonored the sacred totem carved on their body. They had dishonored their ancestors' glory, and they let down the people who believed in them. Their blood boiled from hatred and humiliation.

Rais and Ludos approached Mursina and Aisina to confront them about entering the Szronix Garden. All of them stopped seeing a more massive ship further within the ocean. The wind carried the smell of fresh blood and salt. A majestic serpent covered the whole sail spreading its wings.

"The Seven Winged Serpent Tribe," Aisina eyes filled with fear as she hugged her sister.

"Rais, are they the one who attacked Mursinas Tribe?"

Rais nodded as they walked away with the other children. "This is the second time this year, the Winged Serpent Tribe getting more aggressive by the day."

"With so many people settling here going to anger the forest?"

"No, most of the tribes' men are the forest folks. Although they have various totem gods, they are still sheltered by the forest deity. If they were not, They would be left to die like many other tribes. Many Unfortunate Tribes, that have no connection with the forest deity have next to no value to The Restorers. They are not running any charity."

"So this poster is too good to be true. My luck depended on the misery of others." Ludos let the poster fall from his hand.

Anila and Sumia were deep within the ocean, moved farther away to avoid attention from the Winged Serpent Tribe or the Throne Restorers.

"Are they going to attack?"

"If they are morons. The Winged Serpent Tribe is one of the most dominant tribes in the northern Ranatelia. In recent years they became more confident but It's because they can always retreat within the forest for protection. If they try to be brave here, they will sink before they attack."

Mursina walked backward looking towards Rais and Ludos who were walking behind them. "You had nothing to do with their misfortune and why are you two looking for us sisters."

Rais became mildly embarrassed to ask for such a big favor. "Elder sister please help us enter the forest with a new reasonable negotiable term."

She laughed and kept walking backward."You didn't need to ask for such a minor matter. If we didn't invite you, someone else would have sooner or later." Aisina remained quiet as had a pleasant smile on her face.

Rais became puzzled by the complete change of mind. He didn't understand what she was implying, but he became too excited to care.

"I told you before my sister is a great person."

"For the term, take us out of this miserable place when you join the Throne Restorers, so we never have to come back."

"What about the Winged Serpent Tribe? Are you letting them go?"

"Only the strong are worthy of seeking revenge. It's delusional for me to think I could do any harm against them."

"We would have taken elder sisters to the inner lands without this request. Please ask for something else to make this a fair trade."

"I have nothing that I seek right now, so don't forget you will owe us a favor in the future."

Rais and Ludos were most excited to have a chance to explore the great unknown like the Szronix Garden.

"Many thanks, sister Mursina" Rais and Ludos expressed their respect.

"Carry out your business and come back here by evening. We should be ready by then."

Ludos and Rais run towards Ludos house to give few cultivation manuals to his elder sister Illma. Dinna gave it to Illma to aid in her cultivation. She didn't understand all the steps, so Rais draw all the pictures and diagrams to aid her. He then included some of his manuals he gave to Ludos previously.

They came to a small rundown town close to the port city. The place vegetation only had a few small trees and shrubs. The different fruit trees didn't grow anything. Infertile soil made it difficult to produce fruits and vegetable. Excessive rain and fierce winds ruined them most of the time.

The houses on the town were put together with few planks of wood, dried grass, and straws as the roof. The door made of worn-out clothes and few rusted pieces of metals. Some houses deformed and others destroyed. Few of the houses had a women skirt hanging on a rope as their door.

The rainwater Accumulated on the street and yards. Some street turned in to mud pond. Children taking a shit on the street and some were eating right next to them. A woman grabbed hay and straws from the roof and collected the shit between it and flung it behind her house. A boy pissed through the widow of his house while dancing. The iron rod had rusted in the middle and split into two pieces.

They finally arrived in front of Ludos and saw a little boy of two walking inside mud and having fun. He smiled at Rais and Ludos.

"Big bro"

"little monkeys"

He had mud stain all over his face. Ludos grabbed him with one hand like a frog and walked inside the yard.
