"Think of the magic as an armor protecting your body and True qi inside the body like an armor protecting your soul. The protection from magic will allow for stronger body allowing for better control of the magic, and the protection from the true qi will increase the soul force. The stronger soul force in return will build a stronger base for the body allowing it to become powerful. It is unwise to concentrate on one power because it is a cycle that depended on each other."

Rais grasped the concept perfectly. " mom I don't understand how one would control magic energy. It is completely external. It has no connection to a mortals body. How do we manipulate it to work as part of our body?"

"It is known that mortals are always better at wielding tools than manipulating their body. It consists of properties that allow for outside control. Magic energy or mana always moves towards the denser contention. You have to make sure your body has a higher concentration mana than the environment around you. "

"Am I going to practice breathing technique like big sister Dinna?"

Anila thought for a moment and shook her head "That will take too long, there are better and faster methods for you"

She raised her hand with a solemn look on her face. A sphere of water-like substance started forming on her palm. The sphere became gigantic within few breaths of time. Unlike water, no sunlight reflected on the surface or altered the direction of the light within it. It was so transparent it was hard to see the outer layer of the sphere. Its as if it didn't exist in this world. A tiny crystal formed in the center and within a heartbeat, all the liquids and mana around the house swirled it in the center of her palm. It produced a rough piece of crystal. Mana rushed from farther away and started circulating around Anila from right towards left.

"I will leave this here, slowly try to approach it. When you are successful, we will start the next step."

without listening, Rais grabbed on to the crystal. His right had become full of cuts as blood started dripping to the ground.

Anila became ecstatic, and a joyful smile could be seen on her face "Really good, keep holding on to it."

"Close your eyes and let some mana enter your body. It will hurt slightly but keep holding the crystal. Take it closer to your body and imagine the wind moving around you. Gradually allow the mana to approach your body and pull in all the mana to the center of your body."

Rais had cuts all over his body and his clothes became drenched with blood. He tried holding his breath but with a scream, he fell to the ground. He slowly got up again but instead of pain, he allowed a smile on his face. Anila smiled along with her son.

"Try spreading the mana within your body it should be less strenuous. You will get used to it in no time as mana is full of life energy."

"is it over?"

"Sullow this and try once more in a major circle of a clock."

She gave him a small bottle.

Rais tried the same method a few more times and he looked like he came out of a bloody battlefield. He laid flat on the ground bearly breathing.

A little girl and a boy around Rais age walked in from the distance. They usually play around with Rais, but he didn't show up so they came to check on him. They became terrified seeing Rais laying on the ground. Two of them looked at Anila who sat on the side.

"Rais is undergoing the magic ritual. He will play with you tomorrow after he heals or two of you can join him."

They knew Anila who was kind and friendly with them, so they weren't afraid of her. "We just wanted to go to the city near the Zarieun temple" The boy with greasy hair expressed his respect to Anila.

"All of you can go with Dinna when she comes back. It's risky to wander around the port."

"Is Rais okay?" The little girl asked with concern.

"He is determined, so he should be up in no time."

The two of them left but Rais laid down there as he stared at the puffy clouds for a while

Rais barely got up the and set down with both of his arms supporting him. "Is this bad for my body?"

"This method doesn't leave any deep wounds, and the minor cuts you have should heal really fast. The other methods are less painful but less effective taking months for any results."

She drew an eight-pointed star inside a magic diagram and placed a different colored stone on each corner.

Rais became excited when he saw all the attribute stones.

"Primary attributes nature magic is special because it can be used really fast with help of attributes stone or by refining same source natured qi. If someone has the same magic and qi attribute we call it a dual harmonious attribute. Not only did they not need to cast spells, but it would also intensify their spells."

"What is this on my hand?"

"What you are holding is known as nature type magic crystal. Almost everyone is able to manipulate them with a little training. Some call it life crystals or just magic crystal.It just a contraction of pure mana."

She pointed at the diagram "now try bringing all of them together. The more you are able to move the batter."

Rais placed the transparent crystal in the center. He used all his power to pull towards the center with all the suction force from the life crystal. The crystal that moves the fastest to the center will determine his most suitable magic attribute.

He saw a jade colored stone and a blue stone moving at the same pace towards the center. Then he saw a red stone gradually moving towards the center, but all the other stone only made a slight movement."

"So am I going to practice wind and lightning magic?"

"No, we will wait a bit to see your true qi nature is. It's more important. For now, you will make fire. Fire is always useful."

Her hands became engulfed in flames.
