26 Two Lake Lords

Daikon cultivated the rest of the night with his two dragon pokemon. When the sun rose, Daikon opened his eyes and a flash of red light shot out from his eyes. Exhaling a breath of air Daikon reached up and removed Vibrava from the top of his head. Vibrava's wing twitched but he continued to sleep as Daikon placed him on the ground.

Standing up, Daikon stretched his body before walking away from his camp. Finding an open area, he cleared his head before he started the first stance of Dragon Body. Soon covered in sweat, his body bent and stretched in weird ways but it felt more comfortable than the day before.

An hour later Daikon's clothes were sticking to his body, wet with sweat. Daikon finished with the first stance and walked over the the lake to wash himself.

Taking off his clothes, Daikon dove into the lake. Opening his eyes underwater he saw schools of Magikarp and Feebas. He also saw a couple of Poliwags, Goldeen and even a Wooper. Most of the pokemon scattered when he entered the water but something appeared right in front of him, scaring the shit of him.

Scampering to the surface, Daikon glared at the Kingdra as it slowly broke the surface of the water.

"What the hell Kingdra!" Daikon exclaimed.

Giving him a mocking eye, Kingdra ignored him and waded toward the shore, where Gerald was standing.

Seeing this, Daikon swam towards the shore and quickly put his clothes on.

"What was that for?" Daikon asked his grandfather.

"Once again your stupidity astounds me." Gerald said, pointing towards the center of the lake. Following his finger, Daikon saw a water typhoon in the center of the lake. Listening closely, he could hear what sounded like a battle happening.

Suddenly the typhoon dispersed and a Milotic and Gyarados were facing each other. Milotic seemed to be on the losing end, as its body seemed to be covered with bite marks.

"The two rulers of the lake have finally clashed." Gerald softly muttered.

Daikon was in awe as the two pokemon clashed repeatedly, causing loud explosion like sounds. The battle seemed to have reached its conclusion as Gyarados sent the Milotic flying before letting out a victorious roar. Gyarados charged Milotic before using its large jaws and clamping down on Milotic's neck.

"We have to stop it!" Daikon yelled, not wanting it to die.

"This is the natural order of things." Gerald said unperturbed.

Daikon knew that but still didn't want it to die. "Dratini! Togekiss!" Daikon yelled.

Quickly they both appeared next to Daikon after he called. "Dratini save that Milotic and bring it back. Togekiss provide support but stay out of range." he commanded, knowing how strong the Gyarados was, he didn't want to risk his pokemon's safety.

Dratini dove into the lake while Togekiss flew into the sky.

Gerald's eyebrow raised but didn't say anything and just watched as they flew off. He then gave a small gesture that Daikon didn't catch and Kingdra slowly disappeared into the lake.

Togekiss was the first to reach the Gyarados who still had the unconscious Milotic in its mouth. She sent a Shadow Ball towards the Gyarados' body, carefully avoiding the Milotic.

Getting hit, the Gyarados threw Milotic away with the whip of its head. It then released a Hydro Pump towards Togekiss who carefully avoided it. She quickly responded with an Aura Sphere that crashed into the Gyarados' head.

Gyarados, who was already injured from its previous battle, roared in anger as it glared at the flying Togekiss. Soon it disappeared into the depths of the lake, surprising everyone.

Gyarados' were known for their explosive temper and how they rampage and leave a wake of destruction so when it quietly left it was more than strange.

Dratini had already grabbed Milotic with his mouth and was dragging her back to shore. Togekiss was cautious by nature and watched the water carefully before flying back to shore.

Daikon rushed over to Dratini and Milotic, taking out a potion from his bag. He was stunned on how large Milotic was, the pokemon was over 6m long with the hair like fins half as long as its body.

Seeing bite marks and bruises on its body, Daikon quickly got to work and started spraying its wounds. He quickly went through the potion but quickly grabbed another one and started working again.

After going through three bottles, Daikon quit and started wrapping up her wounds with bandages. After an hour of working on Milotic, Daikon wiped his forehead and looked down at his work.

Giving his work approval, Daikon walked up to his grandfather and said, "I apologize for delaying our training."

Gerald stared at his grandson for a while before giving a slight nod. "Take your stance." he said.

Daikon nodded and lifted his fists in front of his face. He then quickly attacked, sending a quick jab towards his grandfather's face and followed it with a kick to the mid section.

Gerald smiled as he defended against the attacks.

'He's improving… fast.'

The rest of the pokemon all left to train as well while Milotic was lying unconscious on the shore.

The day went by as Daikon was beaten down again and again. He couldn't tell himself, but Gerald was starting to see improvement already.

"Enough." Gerald said, lifting his hand to stop him.

Daikon stopped, covered in sweat and dirt. His breaths were rough and ragged as he tried to stop himself from collapsing.

"Go bath. We are done for the day." Gerald said walking away. He turned back and looked at the unconscious Milotic. "Milotic is your responsibility."

Daikon nodded and started to take his clothes off and jumped into the lake to bathe. After washing away the dirt and grime, he started to gather firewood to make a fire. Daikon and his pokemon were going to camp at the lake's edge until Milotic woke up.

Soon Daikon's pokemon all came back from training, sore and exhausted. Daikon smile and took out rags and wiped the dirt off them. He then took out some blankets for them and make them some food.

Quilava had started a fire and all of them gathered around the fire. Espeon was telling Daikon about their day and their training.

Daikon smiled at her, as she complained on how cruel those dragons were. Rubbing her ears, he consoled her, telling her that someday she would beat them down.

Happy with his words, Espeon purred and rubbed her head against his hand. Quilava also seemed to be grumbling about his trainers as he laid down and went to sleep.

Vibrava soon came and landed on his head while Dratini coiled around Daikon. Exhaling, Daikon started to absorb energy from his dragons, rotating it around his body. His number of cycles had increased to 25 now and it filled him with a new vigor and vitality.

After everyone had fallen asleep, Milotic slowly opened its eye. It looked around at the pokemon around the fire before staring at Daikon.

She found it strange that this human had a pokemon sleeping on his head while another pokemon laid in his lap with another one coiled around him.

Giving Daikon a final look, Milotic silently slinked into the water and disappeared.
