Professor Oak handed a clipboard over to an aide before answering his phone.

"Agatha." the Professor said, reading a paper in front of him.

"You should come to Cerulean City quickly as possible."

Putting down the paper, "Why?" he asked seriously.

"The boy is seriously injured." Agatha told him.

The aides all stopped working and looked at Professor Oak, a cold chill was coming from his body. "What happened?"

"Bart's nephews tried to kill him." Agatha said with disgust in her voice.

Bart Hyet was a high ranking official in the Pokemon League that covered up his family's incidents. He was loathed by many but was able to maintain his position by manipulation and his cunningness.

"Is Daikon alright?"

"He lost a lot of blood and has a serious shoulder injury but I was told he should pull through. The doctors said his healing ability is incredible." Agatha said a little shocked. According to her agent, the boy healed at an incredible rate.

"Good good." Professor Oak nodded, glad to hear Daikon was okay. "The boys grandfather is on his way so I will stay here."

"Grandfather?" Agatha asked surprised.

"Yes, be careful of him. He's strong." he warned.

Agatha nodded her head in understanding.

"Did you record it?" Professor Oak asked one last thing.

An evil smile flashed across Agatha's face, "Yes I did."

"Good. Now let's go bring that bastard down." the professor viciously said.

Gerald landed outside the city and jumped off his Aerodactyl. Flying within the city's limits was illegal so he had to walk into town. It was mid afternoon with the sun beating down on him. Excited to meet his grandson, he walked with a fast pace, passing buildings quickly until he found the pokemon center.

Walking in, he went straight to the reception desk and asked the nurse, "Hello, I am looking for my grandson Daikon Klein. Is he still checked in?"

The nurse checked her computer and told him that Daikon hadn't checked out yet.

'Thank goodness.' he thought. Now he didn't have to search for him and could wait for him to return to the pokemon center.

Gerald found a comfortable seat and sat down, the day slowly passed by.

Gerald's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of two ambulances that raced past the hospital.

"Wonder what that's about?" Gerald muttered under his breath.

A third ambulance stopped in front of the pokemon center. The doors flew open as two gurneys entered the pokemon center.

"I need a pokemon doctor and a psychic specialist now!" the EMT yelled as he wheeled the pokemon into the pokemon center.

On the gurneys Gerald saw a Quilava who was cut up badly with blood soaking through its bandages and an Espeon who looked to be having a nightmare.

They quickly disappeared behind the wide doors into the pokemon center. 10 minutes later the EMT returned, he was covered in blood and looked exhausted.

Gerald approached him and asked what happened.

"Some scum bags attacked a trainer and a defenceless girl." the EMT spat out in anger.

Gerald looked at him, waiting for him to explain.

"I don't the exact details but when we got there a young trainer was passed out and covered in blood, while another trainer was trying to kill him. The young trainers pokemon were fighting against the other trainers while his Espeon was using her powers to seal the little girls wounds. The girl couldn't be more than ten years old…" the EMT said, clearly traumatized by what he saw.

'That Espeon must have over used her psychic powers…' Gerald surmized.

"Thankfully the gym leader, Misty was able to defeat the two pokemon or that Quilava would have been killed by that Scyther." the EMT continued.

"Wait two pokemon? Was that Quilava fighting two at the same time?" Gerald asked confused.

"No. A Dratini was fighting a Pinsir. It was a strange Dratini though… black in colour." the EMT muttered.

Gerald suddenly stood up. "Did you say it was black?" he asked quietly, a cold edge creeped into his voice.

"Yes. Very strong too. We tried to take it to the pokemon center but it refused to leave its trainers side." he said.

Gerald turned and left the pokemon center, his red eyes burning with fury and concern.

'If anything happens to him…'

Misty and Daisy stood in the waiting room, waiting to hear about Daikon. When they found him, Misty thought there was no way he could still be alive. Laying in a pool of blood and covered in countless cuts all over his body, she thought he was a goner. But the EMT yelled he had a pulse and quickly started working on him. Misty had left him and started working on the little girl with a cut across her back. Thanks to Espeon, the little girl was in better shape than Daikon.

Soon a doctor came out, Misty and Daisy both approached him.

"By some miracle he is stable." the doctor said.

"Thank god." Misty said, feeling a pressure lift off her chest.

"With his injuries he should have died two times over but somehow he didn't." the doctor said shaking his head in amazement. "His neck injury should have been fatal but we were able to stitch it up."

Misty thanked the doctor over and over again while Daisy also thanked him.

"There is a problem though. His Dratini refuses to leave him and is getting in the way of the doctors and nurses and when we tried to remove it, it attacked us. Could one of you remove it?" the doctor said, a little exasperated.

"Of course." Misty said and started to walk.

"Don't touch that pokemon or I will kill you." a deep cold voice rang out.

A man with dark hair that was starting to grey had walked into the waiting room and must have heard the tail end of the conversation. His body was well built and he emmitted a pressure that made Misty tense up.

"Who are you?" the doctor asked, annoyed that someone threatened him.

"The boys grandfather. Leave the pokemon, it's the only thing keeping him alive at the moment." the grandfather said.

"Grandfather? You're Daikon's grandfather?" Daisy asked incredously.

Ignoring her, he looked at the doctor and said, "Take me to him."

Feeling the pressure this man gave off the doctor agreed instantly and guided him towards Daikon's room.

As he passed Misty, he locked eyes with her and quietly said, "I'll settle this will you later."

Misty felt a sliver of killing intent coming from those red eyes that made her break out in a cold sweat.

Steadying herself, Misty watched the old man walking away. 'Looks like Daikon has some powerful people backing him.'

Gerald entered the hospital room and saw a young man laying on a bed covered in bandages.

'He looks like his father.' Gerald said as he approached Daikon.

Next to Daikon was Dratini who sensed Gerald approaching and got in a defensive stance.

"Hahaha easy little guy. I know you are saving him." Gerald took a blood red gem from his interspatial ring and offered it to Dratini. "This should help."

Sniffing it, Dratini's eyes became large and swallowed it whole. Dratini's body gave off a faint red glow before fading away. Dratini curled up onto Daikon's chest and went to sleep.

"A black Dratini… amazing." Gerald said as he watched Dratini.

Gerald grabbed Daikon's wrist and sent a thread on energy into his body.

'Dragon energy is exhausted and he almost died from excessive blood loss but he should recover.'

Seeing the large wound on Daikon's shoulder, Gerald frowned and lightly touched it.

'Traces of aura, at least a master level. Impressive.'

From the aura remnants, he was able to tell the level of mastery the user had. For his 15 year old grandson to be able to fight an aura master without any training and live? It was an impressive feat.
