8 Pewter City
Waking up, Daikon stretched his body, bones cracking. He absorbed energy from Dratini all night, completing 6 cycles this time, one more than last time.
He gently picked up the sleeping Dratini and placed him on the blanket. HE then grabbed his sword and left the campsite. Finding an open area, Daikon started practicing with his swordsmanship. A couple minutes later, Eevee and Quilava came sleepy eyed.
"Morning you two." Daikon smiled as he saw how tired they were. "I want you two to have a mock battle. Winner gets brushed first."
Their tired eyes suddenly became wide and excited. They faced off against each other and started battling.
"Don't go overboard! No injuring each other!" Daikon yelled as they started fighting.
Shaking his head, he continued practicing with his sword. Daikon still had the weights on he purchased from Viridian City but he barely noticed the weight. An hour went by and Dratini showed up with a dead Pidgey in his mouth.
Eevee and Quilava were exhausted after battling for so long but the winner was finally decided in the end, Quilava. As Dratini devoured the Pidgey, Daikon sat down and started to brush the exhausted Quilava. Seeing this Eevee's ears drooped and she let out a depressed cry.
"A bet is a bet. You lost." Daikon said trying to be firm. He caved after a short while, unable to say no to Eevee. After he brushed both Quilava and Eevee, they ate some breakfast and took down camp.
Daikon, Eevee, and Quilava all headed deeper into the forest to train, Dratini followed them to find some more delicious food.
3 months later…
Bzzzzzz Bzzzzz Bzzzzzz
The air vibrated with Beedrill's wings. A swarm of Beedrill surrounded Daikon and his pokemon. Instead of being terrified, Daikon had a grin on his face.
"Okay this is the final test. Let's go!" Daikon yelled as his pokemon jumped into action. Daikon himself wielded his black sword, striking down Beedrill. He used the flat of the blade to knock them out instead of kill them.
Eevee danced through the Beedrill, launching Swift and Shadow Ball, knocking down Beedrill.
Quilava used force when dealing with the Beedrill. Flame Wheel mowed down them down while he also sent Ember attacks out, causing losses for the Beedrill.
Dratini looked down at the Beedrill charging him. He gave a snort before releasing a powerful Dragon Breath, knocking them all to the ground.
All three pokemon showed tremendous improvement from two months prior. Their attacks were stronger and more precise, while their movements were smoother.
Daikon was no exception. His strength and speed had improved dramatically since he started absorbing energy from Dratini. He was now had 20 cycles of energy flowing throughout his body. With the increase of strength and speed, Daikon's sword skills had stepped into a new realm.
The four of them battled against the swarm of Beedrill. Using everything they had learn over the last two months into use.
"Veee!"
Eevee let out a cry as she knocked out the last Beedrill. All of them were gasping for breath by the end but had triumphant looks on their faces.
"We did it… WE DID IT!" Daikon did a fist pump as he yelled.
"QUILAVA!"
"EEVEE!"
"DRATINI!"
All his pokemon cheered as well, happy for finally able to defeat a Beedrill swarm. It was the goal they set for themselves before they were allowed to leave the forest. It was a daunting task that required a lot of sweat and blood to accomplish.
Daikon quickly ran to the Beedrill hive and scooped some honey into a jar. He then set his pokemon back into their pokeballs and ran away. The Beedrill were starting to come around and Daikon and his pokemon didn't have enough energy for another fight.
Finally a safe distance away, Daikon doubled over, placing both hands on his knees taking deep breaths. Taking down an entire hive was a daunting task for them and they had finally accomplished it.
He slowly made his way back to their camp and collapsed on the ground, exhausted. The battle today was grueling and tiresome but it showed how far him and his pokemon had come in the short two months.
Daikon slowly got up, clearly still exhausted and started to pack up camp. Slinging his backpack over his shoulder, he started walking out of Viridian Forest, dragging his tired body along.

"Agatha you sure he is alright? It has been three months." Professor Oak said over the phone.
"Listen here you old bastard! Do you think I don't know how to run surveillance on a child!? The kid is training in the forest. Jeesh you weren't this bad with your own grandson!" an annoyed voice scolded him through the phone.
Professor Oak grinned a little embarrassed. She was right, when Gary left he knew the boy could handle himself and only occasionally checked in on him.
"I worry for the boy's mother, that's all. I know that child is able to handle himself." Professor Oak told her.
"Handle himself? He killed without batting an eye! He handled himself ten times better than you did your first time killing and he is younger!" Agatha continued to dig into Professor Oak, embarrassing him some more.
"Yes well he is special." Professor Oak lamely said.
"I don't think you realize how special Samuel. According to my agent, his body continues to strengthen, soon it could rival a pokemons. Not just him, that black Dratini is special too. It feeds only on pokemon and it is growing faster than normal. Though his other pokemon aren't too spectacular at the moment, he trains them to think for themselves, bringing out their potential. He reminds me a a lot of that child…" Agatha trailed off, lost in her own memories.
"Red… he was a freak of nature wasn't he? I wonder if he has come out from his isolated training yet." Professor Oak pondered.
"I hope so. The other regions are starting to mock us for not having a powerful Champion. It's pathetic, especially when they use to piss themselves whenever they heard Red's name." Agatha said with anger. The other regions were always competing with amongst themselves.
"The young will always surpass the old and we are ancient relics Agatha." Professor Oak smiled to himself.
"Pahh! Don't play with me old man. You and that damn Charizard are old but still have some fight left in you." Agatha said.
Professor Oak smiled. "Remember to watch any suspicious people entering Kanto." he reminded her before hanging up.

Daikon let out a breath of relief, he was finally out of the Viridian Forest. Seeing Pewter City in the distance, he quickened his pace, eager for a comfy bed and a warm shower.
He quickly arrived at the city. The streets were not as busy as Viridian but still were full. He quickly spotted the pokemon center and headed straight for it. The sun was hanging low in the sky, signaling the day was almost over. Daikon hoped there was still a room available for him.
Daikon entered the pokemon center and saw a pretty nurse with purple hair behind the counter.
Daikon approached her and said, "Hello, could you treat my pokemon? I'd also like to book a room for the night."
"Of course. May I see your trainer ID?" she asked politely.
Daikon handed it to her, she then inserted it into the computer. After a small ding sound, she gave it back. She then took his pokeballs and handed them to another nurse to heal. She gave him a room key. "Room 4. First floor."
"Thank you." he said.
Daikon made his way to his room and quickly jumped into the shower, washing away the dust and grime from travel. After his shower Daikon jumped onto his comfy bed and immediately fell asleep.
Daikon woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy.
He quickly got dressed and headed out into the pokemon center.
"Good morning. I'm here to pick up my pokemon." Daikon handed the nurse his ID. A couple minutes later three pokeballs were rolled out. Daikon clipped them onto his belt and walked out of the center.
Daikon explored the city, even going to the famous Pewter City Museum, learning lots. Daikon saw the pokemon gym and decided to enter.
"Welcome to the Pewter City Gym." a man with a darker complexion and spiky brown hair said, "I'm Forrest."
"Daikon. I would like to challenge the advanced trainee please." Daikon said, getting to the point.
"No problem! Yolanda! You have a challenger!" Forrest yelled.
A girl with the same skin and hair colour as Forrest appeared. She looked to be a little younger than Forrest. She wore a white sundress that showed her long legs and slender arms off.
"I'm Yolanda, advanced trainee of Pewter gym and Forrest's younger sister! Nice to meet you!" Yolanda said cheerfully.
"Daikon." he introduced himself.
"Graveler let's go!" Yolanda said, throwing a pokeball.
"Eevee." Daikon said as his Eevee appeared.
He gently picked up the sleeping Dratini and placed him on the blanket. HE then grabbed his sword and left the campsite. Finding an open area, Daikon started practicing with his swordsmanship. A couple minutes later, Eevee and Quilava came sleepy eyed.
