Changfeng Park, 7.17 pm

A skinny looking man dressed in a formal black suit had gotten out the driver's seat as fast as he could to open the door for his boss, but even that he was too late.

From the back of the car, a man in a deep navy suit had already opened the door before his secretary and swiftly got outside. All that was on his mind was that he did not want to wait any longer in case he would miss his chance in meeting his wife.

A tall middle-aged man stood highly as he observed the entrance of the aquarium. It was already dark and most of the visitors had left. However, the aquarium was still lit for they were waiting for one particular individual that their leader had appointed them to.

"Sir,"

Before the secretary could speak anymore, he was cut off by boss, "It's alright, just stay here."

The secretary took one wary glance at the aquarium before reluctantly complying to it in the end. He gave a respectable bow for his answer. Although he still felt that it was such a wonder for his boss to trust anyone this easily, he would not dare defy orders.

Once all was said Mr Li Jian heaved a big sigh, before walking inside the aquarium. He reached his hand feel the invitation in his coat pocket to make sure he still had it on him.

The secretary watched as his boss went closer towards the entrance before getting back inside his car to watch his boss. Sigh, he would wait here if there were to be any problem.

Mr Li Jian had finally arrived at the entrance that had two glass doors. Now, all that was left was for him to open the door, he raised his hand to hold onto the metal handle of the door. His hand gripped tightly onto it before he pushed the glass big door open.

However, just above the sky, there was a dark creature hovering silently above the sky with its bloody red eyes staring at the small human being below him. The corner of its beak was hooked up as he stared at the figure below him hungrily.

The first thing that came to sight was a reception table. There was only one receptionist in the entire aquarium and she wore red glasses that covered her eyes and her face looked almost lifeless.

Though Mr Li Jian could not see her eyes, he could feel her eyes penetrating directly at him.

Nevertheless, he walked up to the receptionist like he was told by Mi Rong and handled out the bright red envelope.

The receptionist did speak a word and simply took the red envelope from Mr Li Jian. She then pressed a few buttons before pointing at a corridor that had just appeared on the side of the room with her chin.

Mr Li Jian nodded slightly before heading straight to the corridor. He hesitated slightly in front of it but took a deep breath in before walking inside the narrow corridor.

Once he was inside, the entrance of the corridor was then shut closed; blocking any light or air coming from outside.

Meanwhile, the receptionist watched as the door had covered the person that had just walked inside. She whistled faintly before getting up her chair and walked away. Ms Fei was written on her name tag as she retreated.

Inside the narrow corridors, everything was completely dark. However, not long after, a breeze of wind was blowing gently on his face.

At the end of the corridor, there was a small patch of light shining barely visible if he did not look carefully.

Mr Li Jian did not hesitate any longer and strode towards the source of the light. His long legs had helped him to walk faster and by no time, he had arrived at a closed-door that had some lights coming from the bottom of the gap.

Slowly, he reached his hand out to turn the doorknob. Mr Li Jian could see his hand shaking as he slowly reached for the knob. Then, gradually, he took courage to turn the doorknob.

With a small creaking noise, the door was slowly opened. Soon the room came to his sight, it was lit up beautifully with blue and purple lights. Subconsciously, he let out a gasp of the sight of the room. He was in awe of the entire setting of the room.

Nevertheless, his eyes did not stop at the setting but were looking for something or someone else for his eyes began searching around the room, but no one was there. Mr Li Jian took a deep breath before stepping inside the secretive room and closing the door behind him.

...

Outside the corridor and just a little outside the receptionist, a black creature hovered down to the ground. Wan Hei landed silently just in front of the class door where Mr Li Jian had been standing. He turned his head around to the car that was parked outside and scoffed faintly inside his throat. Hehe, soon there won't be anyone to for him to pick up.

Wan Hei then slowly opened the door carefully with his head and went inside. From afar, no one would have been able to see Wan Hei's body with a telescope for his entire body was as dark as the night sky and that had made his hunting nature even better.

Inside the aquarium, the receptionist was tapping the computer keyboard swiftly. She did not even look up from what she was doing.

Wan Hei's red eyes swept a look at her red glasses and had a look of distaste. What a fake-looking colour, hmph!

"Don't try and look down at my glasses when I'm not looking!" A high pitched voice yelled at Wan Hei's actions.

The red eyes of Wan Hei grew in surprise. He was sure that she had not seen him, but how?

"Your eyes are not even better than mine. Once you have nice crystal eyes like Xiao Bai, then talk to me." The lady spoke back almost immediately.

Wan Hei's eyes were not any far away from Xiao Bai's blue eyes, but because of his ego, it had stripped away the magnificence in them. What the receptionist had wanted was to provoke this guy slightly, well, it was fun poking at their weak spots, especially this guy's weak spot was Xiao Bai and equal to him.

"You mere human!" Wan Hei screeched out from the back of his throat to the top of his beak. If a normal person had heard his loud screech, their ears would have bled out with blood.

However, the reception was sitting on her chair calmly and was still tapping her computer keyboard.

Having not received the reaction he wanted, Wan Hei flew in rage towards the receptionist while aiming his claws at the lady. Four sharpened claws were glistering as it was aimed at the receptionist.

Die!

His claws had sunk into the receptionist but went right through the lady. All he felt from his claws was air and not flesh ad bones like he thought he would. Wan Hei landed on the ground behind the receptionist not as smoothly as before. His claws made a great big mark on the polished floor.

Wan Hei quickly turned around. However, the receptionist was still there and still typing on the computer. What on earth?

"Tut tut, what a majestic beast you are Wan Hei. You can't even differ a mirage from a real person. Maybe you should check your eyesight. It's free! Then, maybe, for once, your eyes would be open like Xiao Bai's" The receptionist's voice was heard in the entire space.

Meanwhile, Wan Hei's bloody red eyes grew darker and his chest was breathing heavily, "A trick! You dare play a trick on me!"

Just then, the receptionist finally turned her chair around to face Wan Hei, "Oh Wan Hei, this was not the only trick though, you should probably enjoy yourself in your new cage for now."

Wan Hei's eyes were full of confusion. Whatever this person said, he wanted to crash that body of hers in his claws until whatever life there is in her is gone. Once again, he raised his wings and flew towards the receptionist, but only to be bump into something else instead.

He quickly retracted his claws that were aching from the pain. It was as if he had bumped into a hard rock, but there was nothing in front of him.

"You see, you can't even see the invisible cage that you are in. Tut tut, free test for your eyes, my boy. Well, my job is done here." The receptionist stood up and took her pointy red glasses off. Where there was supposed to be her eyes, it was only one red dot of light shining through it, then a robotic voice came through her mouth, "Shut down." and her mirage had disappeared right in front of his eyes.

Wan Hei roared in rage. Unacceptable!!! However, outside of the invisible cage that was holding Wan Hei in, no sound came through it and the entire aquarium was deadly silent. Well, Ms Fei must have forgotten to tell Wan Hei to keep his voice intact for no matter how much he screeched, nothing would come out from it.

Poor Wan Hei was left screaming alone in the dimly lit hall.

Outside the aquarium, a figure was crouched up behind a tree. She was panting so hard and whenever she breathed in her chest would expand greatly.

Nevertheless, her eyes were determined as she looked at the aquarium. She had followed Wan Hei all this way, she would not make it go to waste!
