Abrax's POV

I wasn't listening to what Remus was saying, i know he was fuming. I was in trauma how did Corin knew about Zerin's powers. No one else knows about it except for me, i made sure of it. It doesn't matters now, I've to stop her before she succeeds in getting her powers. Once she gets it she'll become indestructible.

Hearing Zerin wails only made me more aggressive. I was becoming out of control with each passing moment.

"Abrax! are you listening to me do something save her" Remus shrugged me, snapping me out of trauma.

I need to stop Corin, only way to get the power out of Zerin is to kill her. I won't let that happen.

"please do something Abrax! Please do something" Remus pleaded.

My anger took over me without any thoughts i ran towards the shield concentrating on getting through it and i succeeded. I turned around and looked at amazed Arvid.

I was fuming, I ran towards the chamber where i saw Zerin tied on the huge wooden table. The blood covered hands of Zerin delineated the scene before me. I sent the black and red shadows towards Corin who didn't realised i was here. My shadows trapped her making her loose all her strength, engulfing her whole body.

I walked towards Zerin her eyes were closed, only thing I could hear in this chamber was Zerin's rapid heartbeat. I placed my hand on her cheek and she opened her eyes swiftly, as soon as she looked at me I felt same jolt of energy I always experience when I touch her. I wasn't still habituated to it, so whenever I touch her It feels like first time. With a click of my fingers chains were undone. My face was so close to her face "i will give her onerous and unimaginable death for causing unendurable Infliction on you Zerin" i uttered looking into her brown eyes. I've never seen her eyes before so closely. She was surprised hearing her full name from me. She was wondering how would I know but didn't asked anything. I looked at her hands closely Corin sliced her skin deeply, it only fueled my anger i was trying to control my anger very badly i don't want to scare Zerin with my angry outburst and red eyes. I took her hands into mine where they were wounded, i slowly tighten my grip and Zerin flinched in pain "please please stop it's hurting badly" she cried.

"it's over, it's over just few more moments" i whispered.

I murmured my magical words which would heal her hands. She opened her eyes and inspected her hands now which were healed and was alarumed

"what are you?? " she asked bewildered.

I helped her sit up holding her from back, "I'll explain you later what I am. you need to get out of here and stay with Arvid and Remus until i come back okay"

"i won't let anything happen to you" i said gently.

"okay" she mumbled and nodded. She looked at Corin who was trapped inside the shadows and walked out of chamber.

"you dare to go against me, your King.

You've committed a grave mistake by dragging Zerin into this vengeance. I thought you were nothing like your sister and let you live in my castle, but I was mistaken you're more cruel than her.  You hurt Zerin cause you wanted to inflict pain on me. only to cause pain onto me you tormented her brutally whipped her, burned her skin, sliced her. You caused her unendurable pain, i think you succeed cause i felt each and every pain you inflicted on her. I was always there to save her, whom do you have to save you. No one i will inflict a thousand times more unendurable pain on you than you inflicted on Zerin" i apoplexed.

I removed shadow from her face and gave her a chance to speak "I'm glad it effected you. She was the sole reason for my sister's demise how could i let her die without any torment when i know it will hurt you too" she grinned wickedly.

"but later i knew about powers she holds and i wanted it for myself so i could ravage and kill you Abrax" she spat daring me.

Before I could reply to her, i heard Zerin's gasp and a searing pain in my stomach crawling from my back. Someone hurt Zerin i shouldn't have let her out of my sight. Excruciating pain in my heart and stomach, i fell to the ground and Corin was released from shadows. She knelt in front of me "should have never let her out of your sight" she smirked wickedly and escaped. The pain only got rigorous with each passing moment until i was succumbed to darkness.

"Abrax! Abrax open your eyes" i heard Arvid's panicking voice. My senses became numb due to pain.

I abruptly sat up gasping, "are you alright?" Arvid asked apprehend.

"what happened to Zerin, is she hurt badly? who hurt her? have you caught them? have you healed her?" i asked worriedly.

Only tears rolled down his cheeks he didn't answered me, something is very wrong. I don't feel any pain, i feel void like a huge part of me missing making me incomplete.

" Arvid why don't you answer me" i asked with angst.

"Zeri is - she is outside" he answered eventually, but something wasn't right why is he crying, I'm alright.

"see her yourself" he said.

Without wasting any time i ran out of the house only to witness improbable, Zerin's lying unconsciously in Remus's arms covered in blood, suddenly my senses came back to me i only heard one heartbeat, it means she's not unconscious she's - she is,..., no no this can't happen.

As soon as Remus saw me "Abrax please bring her back, please you can't let her die please do something bring her back" he pleaded crying, clasping Zerin into his chest.

No she can't die..., she can't i looked at her and took her from Remus's arms into mine he let me take her without any protest.

"Zerin wake up look at me I'm here my Princess, I'm here" I said cupping her cheek.

I tried my magic still she wasn't waking up, i tried again and again "Abrax stop she's dead she's not coming back" Arvid said by keeping his hand on my shoulder. Tears streak down my face, i never cried in my centuries of life, never felt such piercing pain. I clasped her to my chest yearning to feel that jolts of energy. I've waited her for  whole sixteen years. I wanted her to be my Queen. Only silent tears left my eyes.

Remus was breaking down badly, Shylock was holding him and was trying to console him but it was in vain.

I casted a sleeping spell on him and he fell asleep falling on the ground.

"Remus! Remus what happened" Shylock shrugged him.

"he's asleep, i casted a sleeping spell on him. He'll be fine" i said holding Zerin close to me.

"Abrax we have to return Zeri  to Edward" Arvid said kneeling in front of me.

"i don't want to" i replied pulling her closer to me.

"Abrax you have to do it, she will be at peace if you give her to her father" he said clenching my heart.

I can't believe this happened, i let it happen i let her die. I let her down i said I'll never let anything happen to her but i failed miserably.
