Zeri's POV

I was in chaos how was i responsible for her sister's demise, all of my life i was in my castle. Villintine was first place where I've been to, it was the first time i went out of Aaira, my father never allowed me out of the castle, our gardens were only place i was allowed to go and that too surrounded by maids and knights, then how in the world i was responsible for her sister's demise.

My hands were bruised by the chains which were causing me burning pain, i was missing my father I've never been away from him my whole life, he never let me out of his sight he always made time for me.

i silently sobbed by resting my head on the wall, Remus's words still ringing in my ears ' betrayer ', i feel so broken now i just want to see my father desperately, the door creaked open snapping me out of my thoughts, i wiped my tears hastily.

Corin entered the chamber with the same man following her, "are you enjoying your sojourn Princess Zeri" she asked smiling slyly.

"who are you?"

"why are you doing this to me, i want to go back to my father please let me go please" i pleaded tears rolling down my cheeks.

"when time comes you will know everything" she scorned and nodded her head towards the man, he walked to where the chains were attached there was a handle he was rotating it and my chains were becoming smaller making me stand, he rotated it until my hands were wide open and i was standing, he brought a whip and handed it to Corin "let's make your sojourn more joyous Princess" she said.

She started whipping me with the whip, as it struck my body it was peeling off my skin it was inexpressible pain "please stop please it hurts so much" i wept in pain.

She stopped whipping and said "it's just the beginning of your torment, i'm going to make it whole a lot worse for you".

She started whipping again making me yelp in pain "your yells are melodious to my ears" she said with a triumph smile, the pain was crawling all over my body i was unable to stand but she still kept whipping until my wounds were bleeding, "Corin stop you will kill her" said a man who came with her, "okay" she raged and threw whip on the floor leaving the chamber, he loosened the handle and the chains were released making me squab on the floor, i hollered in pain when my body hit the floor, he scrammed out of chamber locking the door behind him, i don't even had a strength to open my eyes, my face was soaked in tears my body was on fire it felt like i'm burning, father please save me, what did i do to have this tribulations, my sobs never stopped until i gave into darkness. 

Remus's POV

I don't know what was going on in head of King Edward it's been three days since Zeri was abducted and he wasn't doing anything, not even letting me out of the castle, it mad me ornery.

Before entering into his chamber i knocked on the door, he was sitting on the bed depressed he didn't even looked at me "i want to talk with you King Edward" i said by closing the door behind me.

"what is it Remus" he asked by raising his head.

"what did you exactly saw on Zeri on the night she was attacked at Xenia" i asked looking at him.

"it was an emblem of Vampire kingdom Remus" he walked towards the bookshelf and took out an emblem from a book.

"here it is" he quoth and gave it to me, it was in bright shiny silver color.

I returned it to him and went back to my chamber.

Someone was knocking on the door, I didn't reply door opened and someone entered in, "Remus it' me" she said making me look at her i wasn't expecting Ashley to come here, she never stops giving me those adorable looks, i looked away and turned my back on her.

"leave me alone i don't want to talk with anyone" i said with frustration.

"i know you're in pain Remus but avoiding people is not going to change anything" she said and stood beside me, "forget about her and move on Remus, you'll always have me, she was never meant to be with you, she is so mean and selfcentered, she betrayed you and left you when she found Raiden, but i will never leave you Remus i love you" she said and embraced me unanticipatedly.

I moved back by removing her hands from me, "Zeri is gone Remus she is not going to come back and she must be dead by now" she miffed. Her words drove me mad and i abruptly slapped her "don't you dare to say anything bad about her again she is not dead, you're mean and selfcentered not she, Zeri is the one i love from the beginning, she will always be the one" i infuriated my face was burning with anger.

"just leave now" i yelled and she scrammed out with tears.

After few hours i heard knights running out of my chamber, i got out of my chamber and followed them, they all gathered in a main chamber i walked over them and saw Raiden he looked petrified, he was covered in dirt i rushed towards him "where were you Raiden, what happened to you, who abducted you and how did you escaped them" i asked him.

"the day i came to Aaira after our supper i was abducted from my chamber, since then they held me captive but they didn't hurt me, they were very swift and strong, a man with the hood help me escape from them, when i asked him why are you helping he didn't answer and left me at the edge of the woods and vanished" he replied.

"what!! you weren't there here all the time" i asked alarmed.

"no i wasn't" he replied terrified.

"how is this possible then who was that - King Edward cut me off " it was Abrax Remus he can disguise himself in any form he is a sorcerer" he said he looked so pessimist..

It means Zeri was right he tricked her into it no wonder why she can't resist kissing him back, she was right all the time i was the one who didn't believe her, it was all his plan to separate her from me and i'm a imbecile who fell for it and hurt my love.

"was Zeri with you there" i asked curiously.

"no she isn't there" he replied looking confused.

I need to find Zeri because of me she is in the trouble without having a second thought i ran out of the castle, i heard King Edward behind me "Remus stop don't do it" but i ignored him and ran as fast as i can the knights were running behind me i entered into the woods and they just halted themselves at entrance of the woods it's already being dusk no one dared to enter them.

I walked deep inside the woods they were sombre, i walked for couple of hours it became darker with every moment, i hate myself for hurting her.

I heard a swoosh sound behind me when i swerved around there was no one, suddenly a hand gripped my neck from behind, i tried to free myself but he was so strong he shoved my head into the tree, i hurt my head and fell to the ground giving into darkness.

Zeri's POV

I heard the man coming into the chamber i had no strength to open my eyes, even a slightest movement causes me explicit pain, i heard him dropping something on the floor, he came over to me and removed my hair which were covering my face "here drink some water" he said and helped me sit up, i groaned in pain when he helped me up, he helped me drink water. I saw his face for first time he looked pale, black hair and dark brown eyes, his face held guilt he cupped my face with one hand and whispered "i'm sorry i'm helpless, I've no choice" kissing my forehead. In a swift he was gone locking the door behind him, it was appalling for me, he have sympathy for me but he can't help me, i saw a silhouette of lying on opposite side of me, i wanted to crawl over there and see who it was but my body was in ache.
