8 Broken Brooch

Next day Remus came into my room with Bloom. he was still vexed with Bloom and i can clearly see it in his eyes Bloom greeted me and they both sat on couch.

"so what was the reason for your such pathetic behavior, Bloom" Remus retorted.  he was so outrageous.

"Um-I -I was having some tribulations brother they drived me so crazy i didn't even knew what I've done" he frowned.

"Can i know what were your tribulations that drived you so crazy that you hurt her so badly"

"i can't brother " he said.

"why you can't - i cut him off Remus calm down you promised me you won't be angry at him and don't you dare to broke my promise"

" fine " he sighed.

"so my little brother can you explain me why you can't" he said so politely.

"Remus"

"see I'm not breaking your promise I'm being so polite"  he blurted.

"Remus I'm not little anymore" Bloom retorted.

"yeahh i can see that by your behavior and

you can't leave until you explain me the reason"

"sorry, but i can't explain it to you "

"What's problem with y- i cut him off again

Remus can you please give us a moment" i exclaimed.

"i dont trust him alone with you" he infuriated.

"but i do Remus he's my friend"  before moving his gaze from me, He stared at me with his annoying eyes which felt like an eternity.

"please Remus from me please" i pleaded.

"okay only for you Zeri" he smiled and left us alone.

"how are you Bloom you look staid"i asked.

"I'm fine and how's your wrist" 

"it  still hurts but It'll be healed soon, with that potion which your brother forcibly makes me drink"

"it means he's taking good care of you" he chuckled.

"oh yes he is"

"i never wanted him to know and i even lied to him about it but eventually he - Bloom resumed me

"you  lied to brother about your injury but why, Zeri??" he asked.

"you're my friend Bloom and you didn't hurt me willingly it happened accidentally" i replied.

"Thank-you so much for comprehending my situation"

"it's my pleasure,Bloom" 

"how did brother learned about it??"

"Ashley"

"how did she know about it"

"she evasdropp our conversation and filled-in  to Remus but she didn't said to him it was you"

"That's very bad of her, she shouldn't evasdropp anyone's conversation and why she didn't say him my name something is going on in her mind"

"yes i too think soo and

when you're going to explain me Bloom?" i asked.

"When we get back to our arrival" he replied.

"okay"

"i think i should leave now or else my brother is going to be outrageous" he chuckled.

"not until I'm here"

"oh yes you're my saviour"

He left and after couple of minutes Remus came in "done with your confidential discussion" he asked.

"do you think there'll be anything confidant from you" 

"i dont think soo" he said and sat beside me by wrapping his hands around my waist.

"so did he said anything to you" he asked.

"no,but he said he will explain to me on our arrival" i replied.

"hhmm -okay" he sighed.

"can't you be polite towards him, you're his elder brother"

"yes i agree with you I've been so outrageous towards him and i regret it"

"what is your age??" i asked.

"what! you don't know my age"

"you never told me"

"okay, I'm twenty"

"it means you're two years elder than me"

"do you have any problem with that,Zeri"

"not at all" i sang out.

Couple of weeks have passed and my wrist was healed but not completely, my father came to check me every day and as always Laura was there for me.

Queen Aila visited me frequently, even King Elrond and Queen Riven visited me couple of times  but i never heard from Ashley again.

After wee hours we were arriving and i was with Remus in lawn, the rose garden was magnificent it had different colors of roses.

when i was back to my room all my things were scattered on the floor and Ashley squattered my mother brooch on the floor in front of my eyes.

"what the hell is wrong with you Ashley, how dare you broke my brooch" i exclaimed and without hesitation i slapped her twice before i could do anything worse Remus stopped me by wrapping his hands around my waist and pulled me back, he held me in his iron grip she was jolted by my reaction i was fuming with her infront me my level of anger was rising to peak of mountain.

"get out of here, " i provoked.

but she didn't moved a inch "if you won't shove off, I'm going to kill you Ashley" i shout down and she vanished

i kneelt to pick up brooch which was broken into two it was priceless to me, i became taciturn and sat on the floor with brooch in my hand my whole body became numb, my face was expression less and tears were unstoppable he cupped my cheeks and wiped my tears by brushing his thumb and patted my cheeks but i was unable to move the pain took all over my body he patted again"Zeri please say something Zeri" he perplexed.

His words were like whispers to my ears and i remained the same he shuddered me by holding my arms.

"please my love say something"  he shuddered hard and i moved a bit and looked at the broken brooch in my hand and in a flashing movement Remus took me into embrace and clutched me to his chest and i sobbed hard in his chest he rubbed my back and said

"please calm down Zeri i can't see you cry please love, for me" i pulled from embrace and he cupped my cheeks and raised my face to meet his staid eyes and said "I'm sorry my love i wish i could stop her"

"Remus you don't need be sorry, it's my fate" i sniffed.

"please don't say anything like that, Zerii"

I was hiccuping hard and was chocking for air Remus rushed and brought water from me and made me drink it, after drinking water i caught my breath and laid my forehead on his shoulder and he rubbed my back

"just breath Zeri" he apprehended.

my breaths became shallow and i raised my forehead up from his shoulder to meet his eyes which were apprehended and i saw a unendurable pain in his eyes.

"you scare out my wit's, love" he said and pressed his forehead softly against mine

"i love you so much zeri" he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me into embrace in his arms i always felt secure and comfortable. i wrapped my hands around his neck.

"i love you too"  i replied.

He helped me up and sat me on the edge of the bed and took brooch from my hand

"I'll be back in a bit and please don't cry my love"  he said and kissed my forehead.

"hhmm"  i nodded.

I didn't questioned him for taking my brooch, i just cried out my  heart for whole one hour in his arms due to which my eyes were stinging it was only one hour but for me it felt like eternity.

I got up and went to the mirror my face was looking horrible and my cheeks had  tears marks my hair was mess so i decided to take a bath after taking bath i felt little better i was feeling soreness in my head,

So i laid on the bed and slowly drifted into deep sleep.

I felt a hand brushing my hair away from my cheek and soft lips pressed against my cheek.

"wake up Zer" he whispered and nuzzled his nose on side of my neck which made me smile and i opened my heavy lids to greeted by his sparkling grey eyes.

"please don't look at me i look so horrible" i said and covered my face with my hands.

" you always look beautiful to me,my love " he said and removed my hands from my face.

Like always my cheeks tinted crimson,

"you look more beautiful when you blush, my love" he said with gentle smirk.

"Laura told me how priceless it was for you" he said by laying his head on my shoulder.

My heart felt heavy on the mention of brooch and i was feeling eye cry,

"it was lastmark of my mother, father gave it to me on my eighteen birthday" i sniffed.

"I've never seen you so angry before,you've slapped her twice if i hadn't stopped you i don't know what you would've done to her"

"she broke my brooch, but i shouldn't have slapped her so hard"

"Thank-you so much for stopping me, when ever i get angry i dont comprehend what i do and i become merciless"

"oh yes, I've seen it now and no need thank me love and she deserves it, you don't need to regret"

"how long I've slept"  i asked.

"three hours" he replied.

"what!! i slept for three hours, it felt like i slept for only few minutes"

"yes, if we weren't arriving in half an hour i wouldn't have awakened you"

"i slept very long"

"you still have time so get ready, Zer" he muffled and placed kiss on side of my head.

"okay"  i sighed.
