2 My Eighteenth Birthday Ball

I was sleeping on my bed when i heard a knock on the door, i thought it was laura who came to wake me up, because i was in my bed for too long, but i was startled when the door was opened. It was father who has brought something in the enormous box...

" Father" i exclaimed with jerk sitting up.

"happy birthday Zeri"

"i brought something for you.." He said with huge smile on his face..

He was inquisitive to show what he has bought for me....

"Thank you Father What's it? " i asked with eager and got out of bed with inquisition..

"It's your birthday present my lovely princess here you go open up and see it for yourself what's in there'' He exclaimed..

I took it from father and opened it curiously and found a red dress with laced sleeves,i was amazed with the dress.. I hugged my father in joy...

"Thank you, father for such beautiful dress" i said it with great smile..

" Anything for you, my beautiful princess" he said.

As father left the room, Laura came into help me to get ready for day., when i was out of my chamber everyone in castle started wishing me, some of the maids even brought flowers for me.., preparation of my birthday ball was completed by twilight.

Eventually the time has come to wear that beautiful red dress and get ready for my special night, i waited whole day for this moment. I rushed into my room with Laura , i wore the dress., Laura made my hair into soft curls, i was wearing red color earrings and matching red necklace, now i was ready for ball.

"OH, my gosh you're looking beautiful princess Zeri" Laura exclaimed with smile

" Thank-you, laura" i said.

Now i was out of my chamber and heading towards the ball room. I was so anxious before entering the ball, as the door opened everyone was watching me, every eye in the ball was on me... I went to my father, he hugged me and kissed on my forehead, while everyone in ball was watching us with amazed looks..

" You're looking so beautiful my lovely Zeri and happy birthday " he said. "thank you, father" i exclaimed with smile.

Now father started introducing me to everyone in ball.., he took me to group of ladies "This is The Queen Aila of Xenia, she was your mother's best friend" as father mentioned mother my eyes were filled with tears, but i controlled my self.

"happy birthday princess"

"you are looking amazing princess.., you look like your mother" Queen Aila said by caressing my cheek.

"Thank-you Queen Aila".

My father introduced the other ladies in the group, they all were Queens from different kingdoms and friends of my mother, i was missing my mother badly at that moment...

Father took me to the man who was of my father's age and introduced him to me " Zeri, he is The King Edmund of Xenia and one of my best friend "he exclaimed with smile.

"happy birthday Zeri" King Edmund wished.

" yoo look splendidly beautiful princess'' he said it with wide smile. "Thank-you King Edmund"I replied smiling.

Laura took me to some princesses who were approximately of my age, she introduced me to all the princesses, one of them was princess Ashley who i acquainted, she left me with the princesses, all them were lovely and joyous. I enjoyed the conversation with them" pardon me princesses, i need to take princess Zeri with me " Laura said with little smile.

" Princess Zeri every prince eye is on you, they are so wanting to meet you " Laura said. When i saw that all the prince's in the ball are staring at me, i found myself blushing.

Father introduced each and every King and Queen in the ball. The introduction was so booring, i was getting tired, when all the intros ended i sat down on the chair and drank some juice, by sitting there i was relaxed. Laura came to me and said father needs me, so i went with her to father, my father was standing with the King Edmund, Queen Aila and a handsome young boy.

"Meet him Zeri, he is the prince Remus, he is the son of Edmund and Aila" He said

" nice to meet you princess Zeri " he said in his soft voice. he took my hand and gently kissed on my knuckles.

"pleased to meet you too prince Remus" i said with smile.

" Would you like to dance with me princess" He asked.

"No" i replied,four of them were bewildered with my answer. After seeing their bewildered faces, i said

"I would love to dance with you prince Remus" they all laughed after listening that.. "Nice sense humour princess Zeri" Queen Aila said with huge smile.

As we stepped on the dance floor his hand was on my waist and his other hand was entwined with my hand, he pulled me closer, as we started dancing other prince's and princesses joined us on the dance floor.

He was staring at me with his beautiful eyes, but my eyes were down in anxiety, i shifted my gaze on his face.., he had grey eyes, his brown hair were falling on his forehead, he had soft lips,his eyes were sparkling like diamonds, he was a sort of beauty. I drowned my self in his beautiful eyes, he brought his face near to my ear and whispered "Happy birthday princess and you're magnificently beautiful".

" Thank you, prince Remus " i replied.

Blood was running to my cheeks and i was blushing.

When the music stopped i moved and walked away from him, as i walked away from him the huge smile on his face was fading.., i too was not happy when i walked away from him.

At the end of the ball when everyone was leaving, he came to talk with me, before he could say anything, princess Ashley interrupted and took me with her

"good bye princess Zeri, hope to meet you soon and happy birthday once again" she said and hugged me before leaving.

Prince Remus was vexed by her and left immediately without talking with me.

Eventually the ball ended and everyone was gone, i was very tired so, I went to my room directly and changed into my nightgown, after changing i plunged myself on to the bed, before sleeping i remembered his beautiful face, his sparkling eyes, brown locks, and soft lips which were driving me crazy. Before going into deep slumber, he was the only one, who was on my mind totally.
