115 Brother's Love Pains her

I once more travel with my Guardian. I let Phrixus be with my King. To get them back safely to Era. He had a lot to do and to demand on the castle. I saw few of the rogues from Aer are voyaging toward Era though it was a cold and snowy day. I got down from Luther's arm and let my scarf cover my nose and mouth.

"G-Goddess." They all exclaim and kneel in front of me.

"Rise." I said aloud. They all did rise and I look at the infant that is covered on a thick blanket. I walk toward the woman and pointed my forefinger on his forehead to give him an affinity of fire. "Warm them with your love." I mutter. "I would like you all to know that you are welcome to Era. Please let the King noted that I met you on your way. He will provide you shelter, food and clothing."

They all murmur thank you and some of them had cried because of what I say. How had they been out of Aer? In this snowy cold place? They aren't rogue but people who was push away from their place.

I stop the strong air and warm them through the power I have. I and Luther flew to the woods and put our cloaks on. I make him hide his wings as we started walking inside the gate. Two guards block our way.

"Queen Adhiti of Era wanted to meet your Queen." They all look at me and I pull my hood showing that that I am Adhiti but still with a see-through scarf to cover my mouth and nose.

"Where's your carriage, your Majesty?" one of the guards asked.

"I give it away to the people who are in need." I simply told them my lie.

They bow at us and I walk inside as I put back my hood. I see that everyone look all lifeless and some are drunken knight who harasses a girl. A young girl at the age of fifteen or sixteen. A mother came and hid her back inside. I glance at Luther who keep searching around stealthily. He might've feeling a great danger around.

"This is a wrecked town, don't you think?"

"It is. I never seen such drunken patrolled knights around." We heard screaming and loud moaning on a room, cries of children, mad husband beating a wife. I couldn't do anything about their problem now. It is their problem yet it pains me seeing things like that.

I gasped when Luther hold me and pull me beside the road trying not to open his wings. A carriage and horses run like they are on race and the driver hit someone who blocked their way. I frown on it. It must be some royal-pain in the ass.

"The Queen has another suitor." One of the townsmen mutters. "Where does she keep all of those golds?"

"I heard that she decorate it on her room."

I heard lots of things about the Queen or Aer. Ariane. She wasn't a good ruler. She raise taxes every decade. It was for increasing her knights. How about the people? Few of them are starving. Someone needs a new ruler here. She don't have any heir or whatnot, Aryanna died centuries ago. Few of the royal bloodline died unexpectedly. Only few are working with her.

"Do you want us to stay on the inn for a while?"

"No Guardian. We need to visit her now. I wanted to see how she's been doing after all."

We did. It was a little long way to the castle. Few guards stare at us as we walk to the way to the castle. They open the gate for us as I and Luther stride to the main door. There's not much of snow here compare on our way. There are few people from a lord's house. We found her sitting on her throne sipping on her wine as few suitors are offering her whatnot. They are trying to impress her more.

Her eyes went to me and I smiled as I strode to the wide gigantic hall. Her handmaidens are beside her, ready for the pitcher of wine, food and whatever.

"Didn't you thought that it will ruin your figure if you keep sitting and drinking wine?" I ask her directly with a smile on my face. My smile wasn't so nice at all.

"Q-Queen of Era." She stood and put her wine to her handmaiden as she stood.

"Adhiti." I correct her. "So, how about we go walk around for exercise?" I offer.

"That is so nice of you, Queen Adhiti," she smiled in very angelic way yet deep inside it's very demonic. "But I'm fine here. In fact I just got rested from a lot of works that I've done. Do you wanted something to drink?" I smile and walk toward her.

"I would like some wine that you are having." She smiled and sat on her throne. "How about you, Luther?"

"I am perfectly fine, Goddess." I smiled and look at the lord who seemed startled or something.

"And you must be her suitor. Wow, how many suitors usually came here, Arianne?"

"Not much, Adhiti." Wow, I'm surprised that she said it all in very humble way. She's the best actress of the Century. Two seats was offered to me. I sat down while Luther only stood behind me, probably a little paranoid of sitting. Since we are in our enemy's lair we can't just keep calm and all.

I took the wine that the servants are offering and a bowl of fruits. She took a piece of fresh grape and wonder if those people that I met on the thick snow had eaten. If they have food with them. There's no tree on their way that bear fruits.

"I am really delightful for your visit, Lord Will. My servants will show you on your room and please feel free to roam around." She smiled.

"Thank you, my Queen." He even walk toward her and kisses her hand. I wanted to puke. Then he look at me and bow at me. I only nodded. They are about to left but I raise my voice for them to hear me.

"Does the Lords of different houses that came here, drive recklessly their carriage in a crowded street?" I ask her. Arianne seemed taken aback on what I ask. Good, then. "I nearly get smash by the carriage."

"I apologize, Queen of Era." She glare at the lord.

"It's alright, I'm still alive." I told. "I'm actually here to ask you about those knights that you send to our Kingdom, they are going to kill me with the dagger that is from the Abyss's torment." I nodded at Luther as he present the box and open it carefully not to touch the dagger.

"I—I don't know anything about that dagger. I thought that the case has already been closed. They aren't my knights. All of my knights has the same tattoos on their back." I smiled.

"I know. But it's also easy to hire someone that wasn't your knight. Am I right?"

"You are truly right, Adhiti." She agreed. "But I sadly say that I have nothing to do with it."

Nothing to do with it? I don't want to play circles here. I wanted to gooddamn know who tried to freaking kill me. Of course it would be her and some people on the Highest council or the freaking Elder's council.

"It's a gift from me," that voice shivers me down on my spine and Luther move fast to cover me. But I stood, willing to look at him in the eye. I stood beside Luther his arm covering me protectively in front.

"Abyss," I mutter.

"Adhiti," he smiled and spread his arms. And he waited me to run to it like I usually do. But now I don't want to get close to him and feel the coldness of his darkness. He put his hands down. "That dagger is really for you. It's a gift from me. Sorry that I didn't attend the ceremony."

I chuckled, couldn't believe that this is happening. Abyss is here to confront me. And what else is he doing here? I look at Arianne who seemed mesmerized to Abyss. Fuck, there is something wrong here.

"It's alright, brother. But I'm afraid that I couldn't accept this dagger of yours." I turn to him again as he walk toward Arianne. She stood gracefully, her eyes burns to him in desire.

"It hurts me when you are declining my gift, sister." His eyes show how sadness he has. It makes me shattered seeing it. Why? Why my brother turns to evil? Why my brother does never seemed to find love again? I give him all of my love, the love of a sister, best friend and a family.

"It pains me more when you are like that." I swallowed hard as I felt a tear on my eyes and the painful stab on my heart. "It makes me more hurt than you feel now."

He never broke his eyes from me. We look at each other thinking about our painful pasts. He look away from me and then smiled at Arianne.

"Are you here to congratulate me, Adhiti?" I look at Arianne who wrapped her arms around him and he kiss her lips.

"Congratulations." I even clap my hand, now I am staring at him. He's planning to impregnate Arianne. He's planning this right now. "I hope that you'll be happy now. I hope that you won't ever destroy my creation. And I hope that you forgive yourself. If those happens, father will welcome you back. I will welcome you back. Everyone else as well."

I wipe my tear and walk on the wide hall out of the castle. Luther was behind me holding his claymore. Once that we were already outside, I inhale and the wind blows hard. A tornado was made. Luther put his cloak on me, took me and we flew up away as the tornado pushes up away from the Aer. I shove my face to his chest and cry.
