Over thirty students were sitting down waiting on their new homeroom teacher to arrive and give them their new class assignments. The class was full of Apprentice level warriors, which just meant warriors at the fifth level of the Hard Body realm or better. They were the hope of Nibiru City, the future leaders and business owners of their proud city.
"Did you hear? Our new teacher, Scarlet Mercury, is the principal's mistress!"
"But I heard she was the Royale Family's only Mystic Spiritualist?"
"She supposed to be at the Profound Orb realm! Only one sub-realm weaker than the principal it seemed!"
"I heard she was in the Silver Mercury gang. Is the Silver Mercury gang affiliated with Royale Family?"
"Less nonsense, did you guys hear about the immortal waste who took an independent year? He actually came back! I thought he was just another drop out."
"What a masochist! That kids a glutton for punishment."
"No, I heard he even passed both parts of his absentee assessment and made it to the next year with us."

"Forget about him, they say that Margot Frenzy of the angelic trinity returned from her independent study as well!"

A few students were gossiping among themselves while waiting for their new homeroom teacher to arrive. The door of the classroom opened and a gorgeous woman sashayed slowly to the front of the class, capturing the soul of every male student as she glided past. Even the females students were stunned into staring at her voluptuous figure. She was tall and wore an azure dress that hugged her body seductively, emphasizing her heavy assets. Her long legs were slender white and looked to be made out of polished jade. Her make-up was nearly flawless, making her appear as beautiful as a elegant angel.
However, her gaze, her posture, and her aura exposed her deeply proud heart. There was clearly no one in her eyes at all, as if the entire world was beneath her notice. This was understandable, as the Royale Family was one of the top factions in the city. Because of her noble birth, and the fact that she had reached the Profound Orb realm, she definitely had the right to have her own pride.
"Mystic Spiritualist huh…I wonder whats stronger, the Spiritualist or the Pharaoh." Casino Riot was usually in the back of the class on a row by himself. He was completely accustomed to this, as the other students had always looked down on him. No one wanted to associate with him too closely. They considered him trash, a waste. However, that would change very quickly as long as he so desired. After all, there was no one in this room that could fight him. Well, other than the teacher who could slaughter him. Anyway, today he was already not alone on the back row.
Everyone's attention was centered on the teacher, Scarlet Mercury, waiting for her to speak. As a Profound Orb realm Fighter, she simply didn't have to teach here at all. She was only agreeing to be here because her favorite cousin's son had just been put in this very class.
"Magi and Warriors all cultivate their bodies in the same way. The main difference between the two is their affinity with origin energy. As you know, the Hard Body realm has 10 levels, but in all honestly the latter three levels are the most important. At the seventh level you decide which path you want to take, the path of the Warrior or the path of the Magi. There is merit in both paths, and warriors are capable of becoming powerhouses as well. However, ultimately a Magi is above a fighter." said Scarlet Mercury arrogantly.
"We Magi are the true rulers of the world. Nobility can only truly be obtained by Magi. Magi are able to form a spiritual bridge in their origin sea once it forms. This spiritual bridge allows one to awaken their ESP, which is the first step in utilizing magical energy. Warriors simply cannot compare once we reach that state. The spiritual bridge is also the key to integrating with mystic beast souls in order to alter your bloodline. Take my Flaming Thunder Stallion limit breaker, as an example."
Scarlet Mercury performed several rapid hand signs while chanting an incantation in a strange language. An orb made of azure flames, about the size of a fist, emerged from her heart and floated in place. There were blue sparks of electricity snaking around the sphere. The students felt more energy in that one orb than they had every felt from the body of anyone else they had met, except for those who had a connection with the previous Mayor.
This was Scarlet Mercury's profound orb!
"After merging with a mystic beast soul, I can control its flaming thunder abilities and I can condense its bloodline as a part of my own. Among mystic beasts the Flaming Thunder Stallion is rather unique in that its soul holds dual elemental affinity and has a rank two bloodline limit. Originally the highest realm I could reach was the one I currently possess. Thanks to the mystic beast soul I am able to reach the advanced Mystic Palace realm. Of course, after reaching the Mystic Palace realm I can re-integrate with a more powerful mystic beast soul of the same affinity."
As she spoke about her own cultivation, she had a deep pride displayed on her face for all the class to see. Scarlet Mercury's words caused many of the students to be in awe, Mystic Palace realm Magi were existences that they couldn't even properly fathom. It was far out of their reach. Its not like everyone was born in a rich family that can afford the best resources like Scarlet Mercury.
The Royale Family, the Frenzy Family, the Bazaar Family, the Graham Family and the Divine Sun Family were the top factions in Nibiru City. The leaders of each of the four other academies were high ranking members of these families. Only Thoth Academy had a principal and staff compromised of those who were not members of the top factions, although a few members of the top factions were also apart of the staff. In spite of this, Thoth Academy was far more popular than the other schools and families, even eclipsing the glory of the Divine Sun University!
One must know, Universities and Academies were on two different levels in terms of heritage. Yet, Thoth Academy was the school with the highest reputation. The principal of Thoth Academy represented the supreme faction of Nibiru City, the upper echelon of the city. The Mayor of Nibiru City was usually chosen from among these five top factions. They would hold a martial arts tournament to compete for control every four years, the winning family receiving the honor of choosing the next mayor.
"From today onward, you will all be divided into two classes. One for Magi and one for Warriors. The Magi classes are in the evening while the Warrior classes are bright and early," continued Scarlet Mercury.
"Teacher, why aren't they at the same time?" one of the female students asked.
"There are many people who dual cultivate the warrior path and the magi path. I, myself, am an example of this," replied Scarlet Mercury. This was met with plenty of ooing and awing.
While the other students were enthralled by the teacher's words, Casino Riot sat in the back row of the class wearing black robes of a unique design while daydreaming. His long wavy black hair was braided to the back and hung to the nape of his neck. He simply was not as invested in this lecture as the rest of the class. It's not that Casino found himself to be better than everyone else. This woman was simply too arrogant! He didn't feel like learning anything from her at all.
Sitting next to him was a tall, slender, and elegant girl who appeared to be around 15 or 16 years old. She carried herself with elegance and had long blonde hair that now hung below her waist. The light of intelligence was apparent in her ocean-like blue eyes. Whenever she turned to look at Casino she wore the most beautiful smile that was world stopping and exposed a single deep dimple. Although her face was a little childish, her body was approaching the flavor of an adult woman. She was currently wearing a silver dress that seemed to give her an angelic glow.
This was none other then Margot Frenzy!
She had demanded to be transferred into the same homeroom as Casino. The school had no choice but to relent, as they discovered that Margot had achieved the seventh level of the Hard Body realm! Now she was more powerful than her older brother, Bravo, who was known as a talent. That on top of her being the little princess of the Frenzy Family made it so they could only acquiesce to her request. They wouldn't offend this genius student over this. After all, it was only a minor matter.
Casino Riot, on the other hand, wasn't originally from Nibiru City. His family was back in Kairo City, several thousand miles away. His mother had sent him out of the city because Thoth Academy was supposed to be the greatest school to send gifted young warriors to learn cultivation. He didn't have any backing or force of his own in this city, which was part of the reason all these noble's sons looked down on him. His step-father may be a mega rich entrepreneur, but Casino had zero interest in using the status of this man to his advantage.
Less now then ever.
"So, do you think she's pretty too?" Maggie sneered while she watched the other males in class drooling over this succubus that decided to corrupt…or rather teach the younger generation. Why could they be more aloof towards beauties like Lucky? Of course, Maggie wouldn't share these thoughts, "These punks are so pathetic, tsk."
"She's definitely not bad to look at," said Casino nonchalantly while glancing at Scarlet Mercury. However, there was no lust in his eyes only appreciation. He wondered, was this Mercury related to Silver Mercury as well? Suddenly, Casino felt a sensation that felt like a cross between a chill and a blade piercing his flesh.

Casino was just about to go on guard when he noticed Margot Frenzy was glaring at him with fire in her eyes. His back was covered in cold sweat, but he was relieved in spite of his fear. However, could that have actually been Margot? Maggie wouldn't really kill him…right? "That is…she's definitely not as cute or funny as you, Maggie."
"Aw, Lucky, really? Do you mean that!" whispered Maggie with glee in her voice and sweetness in her eyes. Eyes which now contained such warmth, that it made Casino's head hurt. This was a complete reversal of how she appeared just 10 seconds prior. This girl was becoming more uncontrollable. Was this called being bi-polar?
"Of course, I…do?" Casino only seemed to finish part of his sentence. Maggie was just about to ask what happened when she noticed that Casino's face had suddenly turned blank and he was staring behind her. She turned her head and was greeted round hips that curved into a rather thin waist, making her instantly jealous. Maggie crossed her arms and just glared back at Scarlet Mercury was was glaring at them both.
"Is there something you two would like to share with the class?" asked Scarlet Mercury, her profound orb still floating next to her releasing a threatening aura. Casino Riot frowned. Teacher or not, he didn't enjoy feeling threatened.
"We were just discussing how your amazing chest is already doing wonders to encourage and focus these young men. Such an outfit selection, completely dismissing the need for form of social decorum is truly revolutionary," remarked Margot Frenzy and a sweet and light voice. It even had the feel of a compliment. However, every soul in the room knew better then that.
"You…" Scarlet Mercury's gaze turned cold, as the profound orb next to her begin to blaze and crackle. "You have you lost your pretty little mind, Miss Frenzy? This will be the first and final time I tolerate you. I beat children."
"Oh beat me, Misses Mercury please," Margot Frenzy feigned a servants behavior, before she stood in her seat and her voice became clear and powerful, "I dare you. Now let me see if you dare!"

To everyone's complete shock, the one that Scarlet Mercury struck was actually Casino Riot! Casino crashed through the three empty desks in the back row.
"You think you two are worthy to speak however you please in my class? You are not. How dare you try to pressure me with your status. Fine, I can not touch you." Scarlet Mercury stared directly at Margot as she spoke. She had reservations about harming a student as a teacher, but crippling one nobody waste wouldn't get her fired. That was impossible! This was why she was able to act confidently, "As for him? Hmph. Who will care if he dies?"
"Oh shit! She just killed the trash!"
"No way, he's Mad Mortal the immortal cockroach, he can't be slain!"
"Serves him right, why's he here?"
The other youths in the room were shocked by how events had escalated but most of them mocked and snickered at the result.
"Lucky!" Margot Frenzy was late to react due to her shock. She just looked helpless at the broken desks pilled on top of her sweetheart. Suddenly, Margot's blue eyes become azure and cat-like and an intense air was released unconsciously from her body. Scarlet Frenzy noticed the sudden shift in Margot's aura and suddenly retreated so quickly that she left an afterimage. At the spot were she previous stood two desks surrounding the area sudden burst into pieces, shocking all the other students. The back row only had one desk still in tact, and that was the one that Margot was currently standing in.
Meanwhile, Margot was inwardly anxious, but her anger was carrying her through this. Her blood felt like it wanted to jump out of her skin to claw and bite this bitch to death. Her size seemed to swell ever so slightly as her back leg tensed.
"Holy shit…"
"No way…"
"How…wasn't he…dead?"
"Immortal cockroach…"
However, just as Margot was about to recklessly attack the homeroom teacher she felt and arm slide around her waist. Her tense body, somehow recognized this warmth and immediately relaxed. The arm then gently lifted off the desk before gently placing her down. Margot Frenzy looked up at Casino Riot in a daze. She saw that he was bleeding from his forehead and she touched it unconsciously. Her anger begin to rile up again, but Casino shook his head.
Looking at Scarlet Mercury he said blandly, "For a Profound Orb realm expert, you sure hit like a girl."
