5 Chapter 5 - The final blessing
Casino Riot stood in front of the ruins of the previous confrontation as he calmly observed Frankie Baldez. That's right, he was actually still calm! In truth, he felt a little sick to his stomach.
Did I just murder a man?
This was his first thought after his body reacted reflexively and punched a hole into Teddy's face! He immediately had the urge to throw up, but another feeling suppressed this natural reaction! It was his boiling blood! He felt like he was on fire! However, at the same time his mind was only growing more clear and focused! He suddenly felt as if he had entered the perceptive force state, in spite of knowing that he hadn't! His senses were currently at a new extreme. As a result his queasy stomach evened out, and he even started to become deathly hungry!
This seemed natural to Casino. After all, he had not been able to consume food for a year now, right? Casino still was unsure what his exact situation was but he still hadn't had the luxury of finding out. There was only one thing Casino was sure about his current self.
Powerful!
He had never felt so strong.
"I said, you're Frankie, right?" Casino Riot's voice was cold and emotionless.
"You killed a member of the Silver Mercury Gang's Squad VIII! Your toast kid! Toast!" Eric was pale but his anger over the loss of his friend helped him recover. However to his shock, right as he was about to reach for the walkie-talkie that Frankie had told him to hold on too. He witnessed Casino quickly slide in front him. Casino didn't speak, he only sent out a regular kick to Eric's abdomen and sent him crashing into the alley wall.
"You still have the mind to court death, you damn fool! If the boss' girl is hurt we're going to skin you alive!" Frankie Baldez grimaced, and he didn't waste any more words attacking immediately. His hands seemed to swell in size as near invisible lights swirled into both palms, as he struck out heavily with a palm strike, "Die, punk! Sky Weaving Palm!"
Capital Blacc grew terrified in his heart at this sight! Casino Riot was like a true blood brother to him, and now he was going to have to watch him die meaninglessly! There was nothing he could do to help at all!
The hate!
Capital had never experienced such hatred. His blurry vision was forcibly cleared a bit. He was determined to burn the image of his friends final moments in his heart. If Capital didn't die here he would be sure to seek the epitome of revenge!
Antonio Bazaar was also watching the events take place, but he was watching through squinted eyes. Not only had he not put in his full effort when they got ganged up on, he even decided to play dead until the heat died down. After all, he knew that these guys wouldn't actually harm him to their relations with his father. Merely, he didn't want his friends to discover that, and he certainly wasn't willing to let something happen to Margot! However, this was under the condition he was strong enough to protect her. Since he was not, he could only let destiny take its course.
However, the yes of these two youths widened as they witnessed a scene that flipped their knowledge of cultivation and strength on its head!
As Frankie rushed at Casino, in Casino's eyes this man was moving like actors on beach movies. It was super exaggerated. Although Casino's cultivation was only at the late-second level Hard Body realm and Frankie Baldez was a warrior at the early-sixth level Hard Body realm, there was only one word in Casino's mind that could describe his current feelings about his opponent.
Slow!
Casino instinctively used his Serpent Surfing the Skies movement technique in conjunction with the Divine Dragon Tactics: Primary Book. Even though Casino had yet to practice this with his real body, he had the strangest feeling that he could perform at same level as his understanding. After all, he had spent the last year or so doing nothing but practicing this technique that he wasn't sure how to classify. He felt these movements had a certain charm, that went beyond his level of understanding. He had managed to replicated a bit of this charms essence, but something was still missing.
None the less, for the first 3 styles of the Divine Dragon Tactics: Primary Book he had already completely perfected them!
If he could truly unleash the perfected styles of this martial art then his strength utilization would increase by at least tenfold!
Casino leaned forwards and ducked low under the heated double palm strike of his opponent, his movements fluid like a snake in the water, as he gathered all of his mystic strength into his left fist and planted his feet. He was in the perfect position to use the first style of the Divine Dragon Tactics: Primary Book, Golden Koi Ascension!
Casino's blood boiled and his fist seemed to shine with a aggressive radiance as he rocked Frankie's jaw with a severe uppercut!
Frankie Baldez was knocked airborne! He flew up 20 feet before crashing that terribly on the ground. From the time Frankie attacked, to the time his landed on the ground only around 10 seconds had based. The majority of that was Frankie's aerial journey.
"AAARGH!"
Frankie Baldez landed with heavy injuries. His jaw was totally shattered and his arms were mangled. There was a white bone exposed on one of his legs and his wails were heart wrenching.
"How!! PLAHH!! How!! A trash like you, there's no way, THERE'S NO DAMN WAY! BLAHH!!" Frankie was puking up some blood and bits of his organs that had been shattered in his fall.
Capital looked on and had no idea how hard that outstanding uppercut must have hit this tyrant Frankie, however he knew for sure he wouldn't be able to get back up after such a punch!
Was this the result of Casino's sacred blessing?
Fierce!
Imposing!
This was certainly worth a year of being in a coma.
If Casino knew Capital's thoughts then he likely would not know whether to laugh or cry! His current eruption of strength seemed to be totally unrelated to the Sacred Blessing wall. After all, his level had not increased a single tiny bit! Only his strength, and this only occurred once his blood begin to boil. There was something strange going on with his body, but he knew it was temporary. He could feel it coming to an end soon. Casino Riot stared at his fist that seemed to have some nearly invisible steam rising from it.
Just what on Pluto was going on?
"Junior boss!"
"Holy mother of Pluto what is he?"
"Did he just take out the junior boss in one shot? No way, could it be he was hiding his real strength all along?"
"That's not possible! He clearly released mystic strength at the second level, there's no way it should have been that powerful! He must have used some trick!"
"Did you guys see that martial skill? What was that? I never heard of someone at the second level delivering such a skilled attack."
. . . . . . . . . . . .
The surrounding goons were all frightened and scatter brained. Just like a chicken with its head cut off, they didn't know which way to turn.
Casino simply ignored the reaction of these weaklings, they couldn't trouble him before and much less now. He rushed to Capital's side and help lift him to his feet, as they moved slowly towards the ruins of the dumpster, totally ignoring Tony who was sprawled out like a baked fowl. With his Perceptive Force State Casino was able to instantly identify that Tony wasn't even suffering from 40% of the injuries Capital had. This made Casino so angry that he chose not to acknowledge Tony at all, this guy was too audacious and suspicious! After, Casino didn't have a lot of control over his emotional state right now. Last time he lost his temper a man died!
This had yet to truly set in.
"Lucky how..." Capital Blacc was staring unblinkingly at his best friend like he was seeing him for the first time. However Casino couldn't see any of the fear or abnormal reactions he was expecting in Capital's eyes. He only saw confusion, worry, and...excitement?
Towards this, Casino Riot was speechless. Nonetheless he spoke here in a low whisper, "Less questions, more problem solving. How can we get inside the wormhole?"
"This..." Capital Blacc was caught off guard. Could they even still get in the wormhole? "Let's try to rip it open? But, shouldn't we avoid them seeing us? What if they follow us?"
"Have you forgotten what happens to anyone who follows us?" Casino Riot responded matter-of-factly.
"Have you forgotten about the first ones to follow us?" responded Capital Blacc, his face skeptical.
"No time," once they arrived in front of the dumpster Casino immediately pulled the corpse of Teddy out of the ruined dumpster, before using his great strength to pry open the top, wide enough for a person to jump through. "Let's go!"
"Ugh..." Capital had a headache. Could it be they had to give up their greatest secret just to escape? Of course, before today Bravo, Tony, and himself had vowed to never return here after Maggie and Lucky woke up. But that didn't mean he wanted others to find it instead! However, he understood the current situation even better than Casino did, they couldn't stay here any longer. Once Carlos came it would be too late to cry. Even Casino's new found strength wasn't enough to defeat an eighth level Hard Body realm warrior!
They were an entirely differently level of terrifying.
"Here goes nothing," Casino helped his friend climb on top of the dumpster. Capital was injured, so he could only allow himself to fall inside weakly. Casino stepped up to dive inside as well, but he was stopped by a disturbing voice.
"Move, move you damn cowards!" Frankie pushed one of his followers so hard he collided with the alley wall and fell unconscious, and then proceeded rain all manner of curses at Casino, "I'll kill you, you damnable trash! I don't know what kind of miracle pill you swallowed but you'll never make it out of this city alive! I'll slaughter you, I'll slaughter your entire family! I'll ravage your mother and then dine on her entrails! I'll enslave your dog father, sell your sisters, torture your brothers! Mark my words, punk!"
"You know," Casino Riot stepped back down and slowly turned around. His bestial eyes were ablaze with a near tangible fury, yet his voice was deadly calm. Frankie Baldez felt an unprecedented sense of unease when this savage gaze landed on him. He only dared to say those words before because be believed he was merely defeated by a waste who used forbidden drugs to forcibly increase his strength. Such forbidden drugs would only last for a limited time and had terrible after effects, and usually a painful backlash. He wouldn't dare to start more trouble with them under such a condition...right? "When I killed your friend...mn, that was an accident. Ultimately, he can only blame himself."
"How dare you! A trash like you, do you think," Frankie initially calmed down, for he thought this punk just wanted to try and cop out. Was he stupid? They would definitely waste him and abduct his family. However, Casino's next words left Frankie's voice caught in his throat, as he swallowed them heavily.
"As for you, you have truly crossed the line of my tolerance. I am interested in seeing how it feels to truly kill." Casino had always been this way, the angrier he was, the calmer he would become. This time he was completely enraged! The moment Frankie profaned his mother Jodye no longer considered him as a human. Before any of the other boys could react he was already flipping through the air with a fierce momentum, before sending all his strength into his legs and landing on Frankie Baldez's head!
Splat!
"Oh god, no!"
"The junior boss!"
"Frankie, blurgh, ahh!!"
"Madman! Run away, he's going to kill us all!"
"Escape! We have to get to the boss' place!"
Blurgh!
Unfortunately, just as all the Silver Mercury goons were almost pissing their pants in fear, they were woken up by the sound of Casino Riot retching and coughing. In their eyes, he was finally suffering the backlash from taking a forbidden drug!
"This bastard! So he used a forbidden drug to kill Frankie and Teddy. Quick, we must capture him while he's still weak!"
Meanwhile, Casino had finally given in to the overwhelming feeling of disgust. Once the pungent smell of blood reached his nostrils, he immediately had to puke! Merely, he hadn't eaten in only ghost knows how long. He didn't feel like he would be able to get used to this feeling.
While the Silver Mercury goons hesitated to decide whether or not to attack, Casino turned around and fled, diving into the dumpster. Two minutes later he landed face first in on the pavement of alley filled with golden light.
"Lucky!"
"You made it, brat, you made me worried!"
"Hey...hey Lucky."
Casino Riot lifted his faced to see three of his childhood friends smiling back at him. Best of all Maggie was awake! Looking into her pretty blue eyes Casino felt relieved. However, once he remembered Tony he grimaced. What was that guy hiding?
"Hey Luck, quickly come look!" said Capital Blacc, pulling Casino to his feet, "Check out the walls! We think it's the final blessing! It doesn't seem to belong to anyone of us. It must be waiting on you or Tony!"
