Seeing her friends dumbfounded face Yuerui turned around and saw Han Yefang.

He gave them a smile before dropping his cup in the trash bin and left the cafeteria.

Mai Yuerui was flabbergasted.

"Did he hear everything? Please tell me he didn't hear anything." she turned around and her friends.

"Of course, he did." Yang Zi replied bluntly.

"What!" Yuerui became excited.

"I don't know. May he did, maybe he didn't. I couldn't tell by looking at his expression." Ning Tan said.

"What are you saying he didn't? From this distance, he would have absolutely heard her." Yang Zi questioned Ning Tan.

"What are you guys doing? You are not sure if he heard or not?"

"Actually, yeah. We are not sure." Both replied in unison.

Yuerui didn't know what she should do?

Should she go and tell him that what he heard is wrong?

Should she leave the mathematics course?

Or even better… she should change her university.

All sorts of crappy ideas were floating in her mind.

That day she didn't have any class with him. So she passed her day being fully alert and tried her best not to show up in front of him.

A couple of days passed successfully. But not for long…..

The next day Yuerui didn't have mathematics class. So without any worries, she was gossiping with her friends after class in the classroom.

But suddenly Han Yefang showed up with some of his friends in the class. He talked with the class representative and walked towards the board.

By coincidence or fate, the girl who would always sit in the middle seats was sitting on the first bench that day.

'Crap! Of all days, you have to sit here today.' Yuerui cursed herself.

"Hello. My name is Han Yefang. I am from the architecture department. We are working on a research project and we need to submit a survey on this subject. We would be very grateful if you help us by answering these questions on the paper we provide you."

After finishing his words he looked at Mai Yuerui and gave her a sweet smile.

'Where did that grumpy expression go that you were wearing these days.' Yuerui thought.

Yefang gave her friends the paper sheets to distribute among them but he kept one in his hands.

He came next to Mai Yuerui and gave her the paper.

"Thanks for your cooperation." He said.

Yuerui's hands were frozen in the air. She was dazed in looking at him before her friends pushed her and pulled her back to reality.

While she was still questioning the real purpose of him coming here, her friends whispered in her ears, "He came for you."

"That means he heard you."

While her friends were giggling, Yuerui was engulfed in shyness. She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself.

After filling the papers, again, Yefang only came to her and took her paper only. He didn't say anything.

After thanking everyone he left.

The next day she had to go to mathematics class.

She intentionally came late and took a seat as far away from Yefang.

The whole class, she had been peeping at him from time to time. Her whole concentration was centered around him.

As soon as the class ended she picked up her bag and run with her life. Thus she passed another day.

But how long will she be able to ignore him?

She has to make things clear to him.

But Yuerui was not ready to do anything.

Actually, she didn't know what she can do or what she should do.

She was just praying to let this pass with time.

One day, in the mathematics class Yuerui was feeling really sleepy. She couldn't keep her eyes open. She didn't even know when she fell asleep at the desk. She was in such a deep sleep that she didn't realize when the class ended.

In her sleep, she saw a dream.

In the dream, she was surrounded with red roses. Thousands of red roses. She didn't know who brought this. She kept looking for the person but couldn't find anyone. Soon she found a man turning on the other side. He had tucked his one hand in his pocket.

"Who are you?" she asked.

The man didn't reply.

"Who are you?" she again asked.

This time the man turned towards her.

He was holding a bouquet of rose.

As she was about you look at his face she murmured, "Is that you, Han…"

She woke up and her dream was broken. She couldn't see his face.

She woke and tried to gather her senses together while still leaning on the desk. But to her surprise Han Yefang was also sleeping on the same desk, facing her.

She got startled and jumped from her seat.

"Oh…" but immediately shut her mouth with her hands.

She wanted to leave quietly. So she picked up her bag and was about to leave when Han Yefang caught her by her wrist.

"Where are you going?" he said while still closing his eyes. He was looking very calm and relaxed.

"Ummm… class… I have another class." Yuerui made up an excuse.

Yefang stood up from the seat and said to her, "But you don't have any more classes today. I asked Ning Tan."

'Ning Tan, how could you betray me?' Yuerui thought.

All this time Yefang was still holding Yuerui's hand.

Suddenly Yefang came close to Yuerui…. Very close to her face.

They were inches away from each other making Yuerui red as cherry.

"Mai Yuerui, why is your face turning red? Are you blushing?" he acted innocent.

"No, I am not blushing… what are you saying?" Yuerui started to rub her face with her hands.

'This guy…. When did he learn to act like this? Didn't he always had a stiff expression all over his face?'

"Hahaha… You are gonna make it more red by doing this." Yefang started to laugh.

Yuerui had seen Yefang smiling very few times. And this moment was one of them.

Every time she sees him smile she is mesmerized.

After finishing with his laughing he again gently grabbed her hands.

"Mai Yuerui, why are you resisting your feelings? Am I not suitable for you? I will try my best to become capable of you." There was a helplessness in his eyes.

Yuerui wanted to say yes to him. But she was bound with her own thoughts and worries.

She gently pulled his hands away and after shaking her head as a no she turned to leave.

But as soon as she was about to leave Han Yefang hugged her from behind.

"I love you. I love you so much, Yuerui. You love me too. That day, I heard you. I heard you telling them that you like me. So why are you running away from me?" he said.

Even though he caught her from behind, he didn't put any force into it. He gently wrapped her around his arms.

So it took no difficulty for Yuerui to release herself from him.

She turned towards him and looked him in his pitch-black eyes.

"I just know that we can't be together," Yuerui said.

"Why are you saying that? Is it me? Do I lack anything? Yes, my parents are not rich but we have our own business." Yefang tried to explain.

"No… it's not you. It's me. If you stay with me I am afraid you will be in danger."

"Danger?" Yefang's brows knitted.

"What danger?" he asked.

"No... I don't want anything to happen to you. So let's just forget it."

Yefang cupped her face with his hands and said to her," You love me, right?"

Yuerui nodded in silence.

'Then tell me. What's the matter?" he asked.

After that Yuerui told him everything about Bo Hai. She didn't say anything about her parents. She has decided to try to convince them herself.

After hearing everything, he touched her cheek and said," Do you believe in me?" he said with full determination.

Yuerui nodded.

"Then you don't have to be afraid of anyone. You are my responsibility and I will always take care of you. You hear me?" he said.

Yuerui nodded in reply and started to cry when he hugged her.

In that moment he was the person that she trusted the most in her life.

Who knew it was a good decision or not?
